Diese Unterkunft befindet sich am Silver Lake-Kanal, nur wenige Gehminuten von der Innenstadt, dem Silver Lake und dem Strandzugang des Lake Michigan am Ende der W Silver Lake Road entfernt.
Dieser Ort verfügt über ausreichend Parkplätze für Dünenfahrzeuge und einen Luftschlauch, mit dem Sie Ihre Reifen vor Ort füllen können. Kein Anstehen mehr. Das Ferienhaus liegt in der Nähe aller lustigen Dinge in dieser Stadt: Dünenfahrten, Boote, Go-Karts, Zipline und Minigolf. Wet Bar inklusive Kegerator mit Wasserhahn. Mears house

The house was big enough for all 15 of us. You can not swim in the water the property is on. We had to drive to the beach. Overall we had a great time but not sure we would come back.

Amazing location

We spent 4 nights here at an annual trip that my three friends and us do. We had 4 families of 4. Kids age range from 6-13. We enjoyed the channel. We also brought our own kayaks and was able to kayak out to silver lake. We enjoyed mac dunes, Lake Michigan and silver lake! Only complaint is many dishes were dirty upon arrival. I am going to guess that the previous guests did not make sure they were clean before putting away. There was food in fridge and pantry. I was unsure if this is possibly the owners or any leftovers from previous guest. All in all it was great and would definitely stay again!

July Stay

Hello, thank you for the memories we made as a family. We all loved the house, location, and beaches on the Dunes. Everything was great, but I'd find a way to get clean towels into the house or have a washing machine so people can do a load of towels each night. Some of the kids missed the wifi which didn't work but I didn't mind at all. LOL

Great place for family fun

We have a large family, this property was a great size, clean and conveniently close to everything. Kids loved being right on the channel to take the kayaks out and fish. We walked to get ice cream and to the playground at the Silver Lake State Park. The owner was very responsive, accommodating, and kind. Couple notes: there is not a slide like in the pictures but it would have been too shallow to use. Also it could have helped to have a hair dryer on site as well as more kitchen towels. All in all I would recommend!

Spacious Cabin for a Family Gathering

We rented this property for our annual NYE gathering with four families with children. There was plenty of room and comfortable sleeping for all of us. The main living area was comfortable with lots of room to move also. Being that it was winter time, there wasn’t many businesses open in the immediate area. But we were there to hang out as a family, so it wasn’t an issue for us. Great experience overall!

Jeep Trip

We had a awesome stay at Mimi’s Place! It was clean and comfortable both inside and out for our large group of 14 adults. The close access to dunes and town was great. There was plenty of driveway parking for our 7 vehicles and even an air up station. The property manager was responsive and helpful when needed! We look forward to our next stay here!

Memorable family reunion

We brought our family of 13 here from Kalamazoo, MI, Seattle, Minneapolis and northern VA to celebrate, 2 years late, our 50th wedding anniversary. We had a wonderful time. House was very clean and easy to keep clean . Everyone enjoyed the canoe and kayaks on the channel to Silver Lake. The grandchildren said they wanted to stay “forever”. We will be back!

Great stay. Property Managers very responsive.

We had a great stay at this Silver Lake rental. We had 13 stay at this house and we did not feel like we are on top of each other. The Property Managers are very responsive. During our stay, we noticed a crack in the coffee pot. The property manager was quick to answer our call and had a new coffee maker the next morning. I loved that the place was right on the channel. Our kids really enjoyed the kayaks available on the property. This was the first time the majority of them where in a kayak, so it was nice that the channel was a calm body of water to learn some kayaking skills. Some activities I would suggest to do in the area: 1. Lake Michigan Beach - 4 minute drive away - Beautiful light house. 2. Mac Wood Dune rides - hold on to your hat. 3. Whippy Dip. Overall, my family had a great time / great stay.

Wonderful getaway!

What a great space for our 3 generation family getaway. Host was extremely accommodating. We especially enjoyed the kayaks and the availability of firewood was a bonus. There are a lot of trees that cause some cleanliness issues on the outside table/chairs and the geese that wander through the property leaving "presents" were the only negatives. The location was phenomenal and we would recommend in a heartbeat.

Great house for my extended family-plenty of beds and common areas. Eric was great answering questions before arrival. Perfect location on the canal. We loved using the kayaks and canoe. One suggestion-the kitchen could use a good sharp knife. We had a great time.

Great home for family trip

Our extended family of 15 really enjoyed this property. Its more spacious than the pictures show. The open kitchen/gathering area and 2 outdoor decks (one covered) had plenty of seating for sharing meals. It was pretty muggy much of our time in Silver Lake area and the wall A/C units kept the home comfortable on every level. Our kids LOVED backing up to the channel and used the kayaks and canoes daily. Having different sized kayaks was a bonus! We went on a Mac Woods dune ride (more fun than I remembered it being as a kid), climbed Little Sable Point Lighthouse, mountain biked, hiked the dunes and had lazy beach days. This home was an ideal home base for a our group. Thanks so much for sharing it with our family. -Jill and crew

Good place for large group

This place worked out really well for our big group. There were plenty of bedrooms and also plenty of common area both inside the house and in the back. One night we all hung out by the fire pit. There are kayaks that can be used and since the house is located on an inlet, you could kayak all the way to silver lake. In addition, most of our group drove to lake Michigan but we walked and it wasn't that far. Lake Michigan is just beautiful. Nice place.

3 generations vacation for 13 yr.

The house in Mears suited our family very well. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms all very nice. House was very clean and well kept. We enjoyed kayaking but because the grandchildren are older would have benefited from more adult sized kayaks. We did utilize the canoe and even kayaked out to the dunes via Silver Lake. Enjoyed several local free concerts in Hart, Ludington and Manistee. Had ice cream every day. Great memories were made.

Great Location and Layout

My extended family and I really enjoyed our stay at this property. The Silver Lake area gives you so much to do during summer, and this location gave you quick, easy access to it all -- beach, kayaking, dunes, etc. STRENGTHS of the property: * Location -- See above. * Owner -- Eric was a great communicator leading up to our stay, including very helpful answers to my questions. Thanks, Eric! * Layout -- We had five different family units, totaling ten adults and eight kids, ages15 months to 11 years. We needed a space where all could sleep and where we wouldn't be on top of each other all the time. The open layout upstairs, the basement, the deck (which is very kid friendly), and the yard / dock were all spacious and provided excellent elbow room and togetherness at the same time. In fact, the rooms seemed bigger in person than in the pictures. * Kayaks / Canoes -- The weather was too cool, rainy, and windy for beach days, but the supplied kayaks and canoe still gave quick, easy fun on the canal. They were clutch (including the supplied lifejackets for the little ones)! * TV's & WiFi -- Again, the weather wasn't the greatest so these electronic touches gave us some respite when going a bit stir crazy. * Recently Update -- It was clear that the place had been recently updated. It's not high end, but it's definitely not your great aunt's neglected cabin. FWIW... * Equipment for food prep and serving -- Once again, we had 18, so we're on the high end of occupants, but we found ourselves short on things like glasses, coffee cups, and bowls. When feeding 18, we would have liked bigger serving ware to put food in. Also, it would have been nice to have bigger cutting boards * Geese were there -- Geese had left their digested remains in the yard in substantial amounts. I scooped them up shortly after arriving, and we didn't see any signs of geese coming around during our stay. Just a heads up not to go down the dock barefoot right away. OVERALL -- We for sure would stay there again and would recommend it to anyone looking in that area, especially if they have a big crew with multiple family units.

Silver Lake Sand Dunes Rookie

Going to Silver Lake Sand Dunes has always been on my bucket list of things to do and I was finally able to do it this year. I was able to bring family and friends and this property was perfect. There are several bedrooms to accommodate everyone comfortably, it is very clean and appears to be recently updated with granite everywhere. We like to be outside and there are several sitting areas (e.g. fire pit, docks, deck, covered porch, etc). There was everything we needed there from towels, pots and pans, etc. There was a very minor water drip coming from the A/C unit that the manager called and asked to fix. When he came to do this, that was even a wonderful experience just being able to talk with him about the property and surrounding area. I would definitely recommend this place especially if you have a large group, like the Lions, and / or like old GM K5 Blazers & Jimmy's.

It's more than enough space for your family and their needs. It's on the quite side of the lake. Close enough to enjoy downtown, Lake Michigan and the state park. We spent a lot of time and money on bringing this place back to life. We hope you will spend your summers creating memories here!

The channel is great for flat bottom boats or kayaks. Travel up the channel to Silver lake or down the channel to Lake Michigan. Not very many places at Silver Lake are large enough to support larger families. Our place have 9 Full or Queen size beds. Restaurant across the street.
