Almost Heaven far exceeds its name!

Property was clean and comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped. Out door decks provided plenty of space to enjoy the view. Beds were comfortable with high quality bedding. Will certainly return in the future.

Overall pleased, except…

The property was exactly as listed and exceptionally clean. The only complaint we had was the lack of communication with the manager. We did not receive answers to questions prior to our stay. In addition, the breaker kept kicking off at least 6 times for the entire downstairs of which I reported to them and did not receive a response. Overall, the cabin was beautiful and clean.

This was our 2nd year of staying at a Trickle Creek cabin in Hocking Hills. The cabin was clean and exactly as described. We had a wonderful visit and the kids loved the hot tub and games. They are already asking when can we go back to the cabin.

Great secluded cabin close to all the Hocking Hills trails

My family of 8 (7 adults and 1 infant) recently stayed at this property, and had an amazing time! This secluded cabin is beautiful, inside and out, and is very centrally located to many of the trails and amenities in and around the Hocking Hills area and the city of Logan, OH. On the one day it rained during our stay, we spent the day in the cabin playing shuffleboard and bumper pool, and hanging out in the jacuzzi underneath the covered deck! Thanks for helping us create some fantastic memories during our stay!!

Almost Heaven is just that!

Almost Heaven was just that! The cabin is nestled in the woods exactly as it is shown in the pictures! The hot tub, basement games, fireplace and fire pit were added bonuses to the beautiful setting. The kitchen was well stocked and extremely CLEAN!!! Our family hopes to visit again in the future. This cabin deserves more than 5 stars!

"A Very Merry Christmas"

We had such a great time at Almost Heaven. Everything that we needed was right at our our fingertips. The cabin was clean, and beautifully decorated. The beds were comfortable and the hot tub was a treat. The downstairs game room was exactly what we needed on game day Christmas evening. This is nothing short of a home away from home. The location is perfect. Though secluded, not too far from it all. We are already looking into returning in the spring. What a way to spend Christmas!

Nice secluded rental, beautiful long cabin structure. Kitchen was stocked well. Freezer is slow on making ice so bring a bag with you. Don’t forget to bring a hair dryer. Very nice secluded get away!

Close escape long weekend

Beautiful cabin. First vrbo experience. We consisted of 4 adults (2 in their 30s 2 in their 60s) a teen and a 3 month old. The set up is such that the upstairs bathroom is shared by the 1st floor bedroom and the loft ... and it's not big enough. I would suggest adding mirrors in all the bedrooms so some "getting ready" can be done there instead of in the bathroom. The kitchen utensils were great (I want those pots and pans!!) The furniture and decoration of the cabin seemed ... Sparse. We have stayed at other cabins (other places) where the cabins are named for a theme ... like Duck Inn or Bear Heaven ... and owners leave a journal for guests to write in ... and often times, the guests add to the collection - leaving a trinket that is appropriate. We have done this - and then gone back to the same cabin on our next visit to see what has been added ... ... just a thought.

Uncommunicative, Unprofessional & Unorganized

I am extremely disappointed with my experience from this Property Manager and would not recommend this to anyone looking to book a vacation here. 7 of my friends and I booked this beautiful looking cabin 2 months in advance after reviewing and searching many locations. We booked the cabin and paid everything that was owed on time and as asked. A few days before our stay, I contacted the owner to inquire details such as toilet paper and amenities available. He responded to me a day later giving me answers to my questions. A couple days after (a day before our check-in) I reached out inquiring details for checking in, which he did not respond. Less than 4 hours before we were due to arrive, I received a phone call from the property manager stating that he double booked our stay and we could not stay at his cabin. He said that he secured us a new cabin that accommodated our same needs and was an “upgrade”. He emailed me the contact info for the new owner but did not provide any details needed for arriving. He claimed it was an upgrade and better than what we had originally booked, yet we were shorted an entire bed, did not have a washer and dryer, no working ice machine, no shuffle board, and it did not have the dining seating for a formal dinner we had planned. The cabin also seemed to be much smaller than the one we planned. Overall, we made a fine time with our newly arranged plans, however contacting and communicating with this original property manager was a nightmare. I had to reach out to him about whether there was a price difference owed for refund. He stated that we were very “lucky” that there was a discount and that he would be refunding me the difference. Two weeks later, I have STILL not received a check/refund that I’m owed. I reached out and he simply responded that he was out of town and would not mail a check until the 23rd. I told him this was completely unacceptable and finally he submitted a refund through VRBO, which I’m hoping is a payment to my checking and not a VRBO credit. Overall, my 7 friends and I are EXTREMELY disappointed and dissatisfied with this unprofessional property manager and I hope no one ever has to go through such an unfortunate experience as we did. The property manager blamed this issue on multiple sites listing his property and claims this is the 1st time it ever happened which I highly doubt. Please save your time & money & book somewhere else that is more responsible, professional, and reliable

Trickle Creek offers luxury cabins in Hocking Hills. The cabins are situated on nearly 240 acres of secluded cabin rentals in the deep wooded ravines in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains in Hocking County, Ohio. The highly desirable land was purchased in 2015 by licensed professional land surveyor and developer Jon (Brett) Adcock and his wife Christine, with a vision to create a unique, serene and peaceful setting and construct luxury log cabins that would distinguish them from the many, many “run-of-the” mill log cabins for rent in Hocking Hills.
