Das Silver House ist ein Gebäude auf dem Dach eines modernistischen Gebäudes
Das Haus befindet sich in einer privilegierten Lage im Viertel Eixample, nur 100 Meter von der Rambla Catalunya und dem Paseo de Gracia, der wichtigsten Touristenstraße und Stadt, entfernt. Hier befinden sich Casa Batllo und La Pedrera.

Es verfügt über 175 m2 3 Schlafzimmer, 1. mit 1 Doppelbett. 2. mit 3 einzelbetten, 3. bett 2 einfache (insgesamt 7 betten), 2 bäder, ein großes wohnzimmer und ein geräumiges wohnzimmer, ideal für 7-8 personen, mit esszimmer, moderne und voll ausgestattete küche und zwei terrassen von 30 m2 und 20 m2.
Es hat außergewöhnliches Tageslicht, da es sich in der obersten Etage des Gebäudes befindet und alle Zimmer und das Wohnzimmer große Fenster haben, und sogar die beiden Badezimmer und die Küche haben ein Dachfenster!
Das Penthouse hat den Charme eines Hauses von Eixample, aber mit der Möglichkeit, die 2 herrlichen Terrassen mit Blick auf den Himmel von Barcelona und die strahlende Sonne zu genießen, auf denen Sie sich entspannen können und sogar ein Nickerchen!
Für sein exquisites Dekor, Komfort, Lage und zwei große Terrassen wurde THE SILVER HOUSE genannt.

Die Wohnung war okay, allerdings auch relativ teuer.

Wir hatten für 6 Erwachsene gebucht und bezahlt, waren dann leider nur zu fünft was den Preis dann natürlich noch erhöhte. Lage und der Wohnung waren okay. Wir verbrachten 8 Nächte in Spanien, davon die ersten 4 in Tarragona und danach 4 Nächte im vorab gebuchten Silver House. Wir hatten dem Vermieter mitgeteilt, dass wir uns telefonisch bezüglich der Ankunft/Übergabe aus Tarragona melden; was wir auch taten und somit war eigentlich alles klar. Trotzdem kontaktierte der Vermieter per E-Mail meine Frau die zu Hause in Deutschland war 8 mal per Mail bezüglich ein und aus checken. Gott sei Dank konnten wir über kein Internet in dieser Zeit verfügen, denn in 4 Nächten Barcelona hätte ich keine Lust gehabt 8 unnütze Mails zu lesen und zu beantworten; hatte ja Urlaub. Manchmal ist weniger mehr!!!! (Danke an meine Frau!)

Roomy in Central Location

Very nice, mostly quiet neighborhood. Beds were comfortable and kitchen had all necessities, except for a dish towel. Walking distance to most places; Metro line one block away. Convenience and grocery stores, bakery and coffee shops within a block. Highly recommend Egg Lab, short 10 min walk on Bruc. Only restaurant we went to twice!!

Great location!

My husband and I stayed at this apartment for 3 weeks. The location is perfect for walking to restaurants, markets, some beautiful parks and shopping. The best part if the apartment was the kitchen. The appliances were clean and modern and all worked well. It had everything we needed to cook meals. The apartment itself definitely needs some upkeep. The sofas which are supposed to be white are dirty looking. The throw cover and pillows on the sofa smelled so badly, that we wouldn't sit there. The comforter in the bedroom was stained and smelly. The one blanket in the closet smelled of many uses as well. I did wash the one comforter I found in another bedroom so we could use it instead of the one in the main bedroom. The bed had one thin sheet on a very thin mattress. No extra sheets or towels. We were given 2 old, thin towels for the 2 of us. Wouldn't have been a problem had the washer/dryer worked the last half of our stay. It did get replaced the day before we left. By then, we had already taken our clothes to a laundry service twice. The toilet in the gold bathroom broke 3 times. Several days before it would get fixed each time. So just be aware, this apartment does not look like the photos. For the price we paid, we expected cleaner more modern conditions.

Wonderful experience in the heart of barcelona

We stayed here for almost two weeks. We had a wonderful stay, Ignacio and Ksenia were patient with us when we were late checking into the venue. He was also extremely patient with us checking out when our friend was in the hospital and we were a few hours late. The apartment was clean, with plenty of fans for the hot summer, most cleaning and other supplies that were needed, as well as towels, etc. A few things to note for people that are very particular and high maintenance about their needs: the kids room is indeed quite small and can be very hot in the summer and which means this apartment may not be good for more than 4 adults. We moved the mattresses out into the other rooms and it was fine for us. One other thing that should be noted is that most of the closets are blocked off and there isn’t a lot of room for storage of luggage for long term stays. Although it was summer, there was a need for light blankets which we were unable to find either, they were potentially inside one of the blocked closets. That being said, all of the above things are fixable and not a big deal by anyone who is resourceful: the apartment has the best location near plenty of grocery stores, near a home goods store, and near a train station that will take you to a department store in 5 minutes. Getting an extra blanket or pillow or any other home goods was only a few euros. We had an amazing time and would stay here again in the future. Thank you for sharing your home with us Ignacio!

Read the contract !!

We got a contract before arriving there which said: .... If in the course of stay in the apartment a problem arises, the tenant must notify the property so that it solves this in a maximum of 48 hours. If the tenant does not give notice to the landlord, the tenant may not claim any compensation, nor may write any negative comment the apartment in any of the internet sites where it is published. On arrival in the afternoon we didnt have heating or warm water, no fix of the problem late night, so we left the apartment first night after 3 calls to the company and 3 messages in this system. The message in the night then finally was: Dear *** Sorry for answering late *** What pressure does the boiler have? It's weird because it worked properly this morning. I do not understand that you leave the apartment without the possibility of us verifying what you say. Tomorrow morning we talk. Great Location

We had a great stay in Silver House. It was very convenient to several great locations and some awesome nearby restaurants and markets. Residence was clean and as advertised. The patio was fantastic for morning coffee and pastries and for some wine before heading out at night. Would DEFINITELY recommend eating at Betlem if you stay here. Fantastic food/service and right down the block. Ignacio was reachable and helpful at all times despite some initial travel issues that delayed check in. Great trip to Barcelona!

Lovely well-located apartment

On the sixth floor of a building typical of the eixample area of Barcelona, this apartment has balconies on the front overlooking the street and the back overlooking a garden. It is well furnished with plenty of dishes, glassware and cooking utensils. The towels were fluffy and there was always plenty of hot water and good water pressure. It was very comfortable for four adults and we loved the market with food stalls just around the corner. We were able to walk to the Barri Gotic, Plaça de Catalunya , the Sagrada Familia and there were plenty of cafes nearby. We would definitely make this our home any time we were in Barcelona.

A 2 Bedroom with a Another bedroom/closet

The 3rd bedroom is 7 x 8, It’s obvious it was a converted closet with no windows. The apartment is well decorated but lacks a/c in the bedrooms and that makes for not so pleasant sleeping. The front room has A/C but struggles to keep it cool. There was only 1 roll of toilet paper, one roll of paper towel, no soap so the first stop was to the store to pick up essentials. I found the owner unprofessional. I was traveling and opened my email and had 5 emails from him asking what time I arrived at airport. I told him that One of the other couples was arriving before me but he ignored that and only wanted to know what time my flight came in. I told him several times I was arriving late in evening and as soon as I received an email from my friend I’d let him know. He was just kind of rude and told my “ I was wasting his time”. My wife and I had a VRBO home until last year and would never think to speak to someone like that. Given we operated a VRBO I would want to give owner a great review but given the lack of proper cooling, lack of basic supplies no wine glasses in wine country no food storage bowls and lack of anything but a but a half filled bottle of olive oil and salt and the way he treated me results in this HONEST review. The balcony’s were cool and had in elevator ( it was broken the first day) that’s a bunch if stairs to climb.

Great location!!

We loved our stay in Barcelona! Our party consisted of two couples that have rented many places through HomeAway (but our first in Europe). The Silver House location is perfect. Many restaurants, bakeries and coffee shops. Close to metro and grocery store. The pictures of the apartment were a true representation which was a relief as you never know what you will find! Ksenia and Ignacio were both very responsive to any questions once we arrived. And WiFi worked great!!! All in all a great trip. We are giving a 5 star rating with a note on a few items..... 1). Towels - are not good and tend to leave a “fluff” on your wet body, yuck. 2). It’s hot in July and the air conditioner only works for the main room and kitchen. The bedrooms do not cool down. We found four fans in the apartment, only two worked and not great. By the end of our stay only one worked..... this place needs at least four fans. We had told Ignacio that two of the four were not working immediately upon checking in. So a sweaty mess would describe our sleep. Additionally it would be nice to have pillow covers besides the pillow case as those pillows have seen some drool. 3). A few items that could have been included were: more than one roll of paper towels, more than one kitchen towel. The coffee maker is a Nescafé that requires a certain type of pod so however many adults checking , I would suggest a few pods for your first morning? And it leaks really bad so the need for more than one towel is a necessity! There was no aluminum foil/plastic wrap or Tupperware containers for food storage. All that the “fully stocked kitchen/pantry items” means is salt and pepper. Just FYI. We felt this place was safe.....and loved the front balcony with the outdoor shower to hose us off after a long sweaty day. This is a great apartment and our “suggestions” are only what we found was missing for our trip and how we live.

charming ,well located apartment in Barcelona

We are a family of 5 [ couple in our 50s and 3 boys age range 18-26] . We stayed at Ignacio's place from May 2-8. From the start when we booked the place, Ignacio was always responsive and positive. He arranged for us to meet his aide, Xenia,and she was on time and helpful. The apartment is very well located. Eixample is simply lovely. The buildings are beautiful, the streets are clean, locals abound versus a very touristy feel. There are bakeries, convenience stores and a wet market nearby. The Metro is one block away [ although we liked walking around more]. Taxis were easy to get from Calle Arago which is just at the corner. The outlet stores are just about 2 blocks away. Boqueria is an easy 20 minutes walk or about 5 minutes by cab. There is a really good bakery nearby called Eric and Benjamin which has the best pastries we've ever had. The whole area gives off a laid back residential feel which we liked very much. The apartment is on the top floor [4th] and has a roof deck and balcony from both sides. That gave plenty of light and airiness to the living /dining room on one side and the 2 bedrooms on the other. The decor is homey and charming. The master bedroom was comfortable and had enough outlets on each side of the bed plus other areas to accommodate our various gadgets. The sheets were crisp [ plus points!]. Some small touches that would improve the unit would be more absorbent towels that don't shed as much, maybe add an extra roll of toilet paper per bathroom and a starter toiletry kit [shampoo or soap sachet]. The second bedroom could also benefit from a slightly better mattress. The kitchen was completely equipped. The dishwasher had some problem [ wasn't cleaning properly] which may be the reason why some of the dishes were not as clean when we arrived. We also had a power outage on our first night which was resolved by shutting down a part of the power supply in the breaker. We reported this to Xenia and by the next morning, Ignacio had checked it out. The neighbor had some drilling works going on that extended past 6pm and upon reporting to Xenia, it stopped. Overall, our experience was very positive. I would have given higher marks if not for these small touches. Ignacio and Xenia were very responsive and that deserves credit. Thank you for a wonderful stay in our new favorite city!

Best two bedroom ever, but it's advertised as a three bedroom.

This place was fantastic. Extremely well appointed, great location, decks, rooms, all elegant. Except the third bedroom which had no windows, no ventilation, and was right next to the building elevator shaft. If this isn't a problem for you, then you've got a very nice place, but for us, I couldn't give it 5 stars as compared to a true three bedroom unit. Also be aware of the very restrictive no cancellation policy.

Great apartment with great location

We stayed here in early April 2018 and had a wonderful week. We are a family of 4 with 2 boys 17 and 21. The unit is in great shape and is very convenient being only about 100 yards from the Girona Metro station. Taxis were also always available. The neighborhood has everything you need from shopping, supermarkets, great restaurants, etc. It is not as busy as some of the areas closer to Las Ramblas or the Gothic Quarter, which is nice because you are in that all the time while walking around. The outdoor patios are awesome, especially the front one. A morning coffee out there was a daily event. The apartment was well appointed and everything was in great working condition. The master shower was a little small but the bathrooms overall were nice. Bedding could have been a bit more comfortable but I think that is what is typical in apartments in the city. Overall, the unit was roomy and well laid out. I highly recommend it!

We really enjoyed our stay at Silver House. We were able to have wine on the patios. ( had to buy 3 wine glasses - who doesn't have wine glasses in a vacation rental?) The bakery and supermarket so convenient. Barcelona isa great place to visit.

Great Place

This place was great. Views and location were awesome. Right around the corner from an amazing market. We walked everywhere from here. It seems that anywhere we wanted to go was just a 10-20 minute walk. If you stay here, bring a towel. I feel like there was a towel closet we couldn't find, lol.

Great apartment, superb location

Very well positioned in a nice part of Barcelona. Some good restaurants a few minutes stroll from the door. Nice bakery on the corner half a block south (Conseil de Cents). Placa Catalunya, Las Ramblas and the old town are within 15 minutes walk. Metro stops are also very close by. The apartment is spacious and well appointed. It felt very homely - especially once we'd figured out how to get the heating going (the weather at the end of February 2018 was particularly unpleasant with cold wind, rain and even snow). Given the poor weather we were not able to make use of the spacious balconies, but they'd be brilliant in warmer weather. Given the central location, the apartment was very quiet - especially as the bedrooms face out into the pretty rear courtyard area. Small things that were good and are not the same everywhere: plenty of storage space including ample coat hangers. Well located power sockets in the bedrooms. Provision of hand soaps in the bathrooms. A lift; it's on the fourth floor, so quite a climb if you walk the stairs, but good for the heart if you do decide to walk up. A few more towels would have been welcome, but not a significant issue. I've stayed in several apartments in Barcelona over the years and this one stands out as the best yet.

Nice place

We enjoyed our stay here. Centrally located, clean, quiet, nicely and professionally decorated. The deck is great as well. We were there in winter, so we did not use it, but it made the whole place feel much more open.

This roomy apartment has a wonderful location. It was easy to walk to many sights. It is only several blocks from the Passeig de Gracia, which reminded us of NYC's Fifth Avenue. Grocery stores, restaurants, bakeries and gym are nearby. A metro station is one block away. We initially had a disconnect with checking in, but that was resolved. The furnishings are lovely. Because it was cold in December, we did not use the terraces. There is a lovely garden space below one terrace. Also, having the terraces added to the light in the apartment, which also has several skylights. Also nearby are several Gaudi designed buildings.

Great property - great location

We enjoyed our 4 night stay at the Silver House. Easy access to the Metro and a great restaurant right across the street. We would definitely choose this property again.

Great apartment in a great location!

We chose to stay at the Silver House for our girls' vacation week this year and were very pleased with the apartment. It's a beautiful place with plenty of space and a great layout, true to the pictures posted, in a great location, close to fabulous restaurants and cafes. There's a terrific bakery on the corner where we grabbed fresh pastries and bread daily, a large market just up the street where you can pick absolutely anything for a charcuterie board or dinner in, and smaller "Super Markets" where you can get a variety of things including cava/wine/beer/liquor. We certainly loved our early evening drinks on the incredible balcony out front after a day of touring the town. And our plans were made on the back balcony overlooking the quiet common courtyard over a cafe con leche. We arrived in Barcelona a few hours before we could check in to the apartment; however, the owner was very accommodating and allowed us to drop off our luggage at noon while the place was getting cleaned up. We very much appreciated being able to do so. I was hesitant giving the Silver House a 4 star since it is such a great spot and really has the potential for a 5 star. And I do consider the previous reviews when I rent a place usually dismissing most of the negative feedback as people being a little too fussy, but there are few of the niceties that were missing in this apartment that I have were included in other rentals we've stayed. Right off the bat we needed to do a bit of a shop for some much needed staples such as toilet paper (only 2 rolls left), paper towel (1/4 of roll left), dishwashing liquid (none) and some coffee (albeit, we would have bought regardless). And although the listing says that there are pantry items, all that was there was a little bit oil, vinegar, and salt (again, don't want to sound too picky). We weren't planning on doing any laundry (being on holidays), but since we were only supplied with 5 towels total, we needed to do a wash mid-week. Having laundry is so handy: however, the machine is very small, and the dryer doesn't dry well. I recommend you get clear instructions on how to operate both it and the coffee machine (product cups are Nescafe Cafe Gusto). We ended up "googling" for the laundry machine. Some upgrades in the linens would be good too since the sheets in the main bedroom are ripped. Other than that, I would stay again at the Silver House and recommend it to others considering it.

Beautiful apartment, amazing location

The Silver House looks just like in the pictures. Spacious and well-appointed. I loved all the historical books in the dining room! Quiet but perfect location literally a block away from the Girona Metro station. We could walk easily to Las Ramblas, The Gothic Quarter and Aquarium . Definitely looking forward to coming back! Beautiful terraces

This property is beautiful. There were 4 of us and lots of room. The piece we enjoyed most were the two terraces. One perfect for morning coffee and the other for cocktails. It is located close to a metro stop and market. I would definitely stay there again.
