I brought my teenage daughters for 3 days in April and we really enjoyed ourselves. I would stay her again for sure! Here are some things that future travelers may find useful:
What I loved about the place:
Location and View
Nicely decorated
Back deck with great little patio set to hang out on
Designated parking spot
Came with coffee filters
Susan and her husband are so friendly and helpful
What you Should know:
The garages are very small, my Subaru Ascent barely fit and it wasn't worth the effort trying to park in the garage.
The place is on a busy street, so there is traffic noise.
There are no window coverings on the big, front windows that face the street.
The place is very old, and the floors are creaky and you can hear other tenants (I think it has 3 units total). One night of our stay the downstairs had kids running around all night and you could hear everything! My teenagers were pissed that these kids kept them up all night!
The walkway from the alley to the unit is uneven concrete.
The kitchen has plenty of cups, glasses, dishes, etc., but super random unmatched sets (except for the plates)
The frying pans are in terrible shape and need replacing.
The towels are mismatched and not in great condition and could use replacing soon (my dog towels at home are softer)
The dishwasher is not screwed into its counter space, so when you try to shut the door to run the dishwasher, it is very hard to get the dishwasher door to shut completely because the whole appliance moves.
Like I said above, I would definitely stay here again, but these are the details I thought I would share with future travelers. While we were there, Susan's husband was working on the back fence and yard the whole time. He was super friendly and helpful. The yard, however, was a mess! There was mud on the walkway and landscape bricks being installed that you had to walk over. The new sod had caution tape around it. (It is going to look great once it is finished!). The first night we were there, the bathroom sink wouldn't drain, but it was fixed the next day. The toilet also doesn't always flush. The frying pans had most of the teflon scratched off and were unusable. I texted a photo to Susan and she took a different pan from a unit for us to use. We also wanted a blender, so she got one from another unit for us to use. And, after we checked out, my old daughter remembered that she left some clothes in the dresser. Susan mailed these back to us. Hope this helps!
