Vacation

The house was perfect. Bigger than I needed Only complaint I had was the blinds on the sliding door needed to be replaced. There wasn’t enough privacy in the den and kitchen at nights. Perfect place for large family with children. They will love the pool and activities. Every one was pleasant and helpful.

Recent Orlando Trip

Overall, the set up of this house was great for a multi-family vacation. The December weather was chilly, which made the resort amenities non-existent for us. We had one warm day and the pool was wonderful! Lazy river was too cold to use. We paid for the heat for the pool at the house which was a must. We enjoyed the pool every day. The pool was too warm to be honest - the hot tub never got warmer than the pool. But with the cooler weather, we were still able to swim. The houses in the community were so close together. We had to be conscious of our children's noise just to be curious of others. The other homes around us seems to be very quite or not rented. A few improvements for the home itself - better bedding (just a sheet and a light blanket was not enough to be comfortable - and no extra blankets were found). The mattresses were not very comfortable (just a personal preference). The carpet should be replaced (its just worn down and didnt look cleaned). I also dropped something that rolled under the couch and that was nasty under there. There are some updates needed like paint touch ups for cleaner finish/appearance, blinds on patio door were half missing or falling off, grill did not work (was not safe to use). Just some small details I would expect to be perfected when renting a home at this cost. Overall - great house set up and community - just needs some updates from management company.

Disappointed

Upon checking into the home the front desk personnel was very rude. She was not friendly or helpful whatsoever. Very put off by that but tried to move on with our vacation. We had called before booking the resort to make sure there wasn’t going to be any maintenance to the pool area. We had stayed in this resort before and was not told about the pool maintenance so we were unable to utilize the amenities. We called this time prior to make sure that wouldn’t happen again. We were told the pool would not be closed. We get to check in and find that 3 of the days we are staying at the resort the pool was closed. Very very upset about that. Also have never had to pay extra for use of the amenities, but this time that was expected. That should be listed in the house listing. There were ants located on the second floor of the house. We emailed and reported these during our stay but nothing seemed to be done about them. We paid for pool heat which was fine but the hot tub was not near the temperature it needed to be. This also was reported and nothing was changed during our stay. There was only one bathroom towel per person. There was a washer and dryer which worked ok but there should at least be 2 towels per person. We would not stay at this home or resort again.

Beautiful Vacation Home

I have stayed in Solterra Resorts a few times in several different rentals. The property this did not disappoint. Everyone who was with me was very satisfied with the home as well, no one complained about the beds being uncomfortable, they all stated the beds were very comfortable. I have a large family and was very happy to see the kitchen had large cookware, enough plates/bowls, cups, and eating utensils. (Didn't have large serving bowls). Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the pool. There was a few things, nothing majorly serious, but the grout on the tile floor(downstairs floor and in all bathrooms plus showers) was very dirty and needs a really good scrubbing. You can see the difference along the corners and in the areas that aren't heavily use like the closets. There isn't a game room, which is a bummer because when it rains/storm you can use the pool and the community pool is closed. During check in the security guards that are at the main gate are RUDE and don't like being asked questions. The carpets upstairs was clean without any stains. Lastly the pictures listed ARE NOT up to date, the 360° virtual are the ACTUAL pictures of this property. All in All, I will be returning if this property is available.WE LOVED IT HERE.

Pros and Cons

Overall we were happy with the property. But the location didn’t seem ideal for Disney parks. The distance was roughly 12 miles, but took anywhere from 35-50 min in either direction. Not sure if that’s the norm, or we were just unlucky. But on the positive…coffee maker leaked on first morning and they had a new one delivered that afternoon!

Not a chance again

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Here for a Disney vacation. I was so proud to have found a place near the activities we wanted as a family for 7 nights.Check in was a hiccup... Tried my code they had sent me via email and it didn't work. Called consecutively for 15 mins to try the rental company (Casiola) as it was hot/not working and got an answering service to relay my message. Allegedly my check in was minutes/seconds too early and the lock had a special punch in instructions of really slowly entering the code. The layout of the house was fantastic also. The A/C worked!!. The set-up looked awesome. The cleanliness however for the cost we paid... Kinda lacking in my opinion I know you can't be super picky. But again traveling with little ones and they pick up trash from under the beds/couches inquiring what is this... It kind of makes you think maybe some cleaning is just getting lightly done. If check in can't be til 405pm to get it fully clean just let a guy know. The set-up of the house was fantastic... The cleanliness not so fantastic. Fruit flies everywhere.... Night 1 was spent killing fruit flies The washer had a squeaky sound as it went through cycles.... Sad deal. Air return vent had some heavy dust as well. Pool was nice.So the above mentioned stuff in combination with multiple nightly calls to the Polk County sheriff department for noise in the 2-3 doors surrounding areas was the dagger. We had parties/music blaring nightly from the neighbors into the 1 am hour. From 10pm - midnight Kids screaming during night swims had my kids (trying to sleep)wondering what is going on. Not a good thing every night when trying to get my kids to bed. If you have kids and have been there you definitely understand!!! It took my monies spent on this vacation home to teach me a VALUABLE lesson. The pamphlet we were given at check-in even STATES this is a quiet community and fines for having noise complaints on renters. yeah right. I don't believe that whats

I have stayed at other homes in this resort but this by far was the best one! The layout of the home is so beautiful. It is so clean and so efficient. We are already making plans to come back. Thank you for hosting my family and I during such a momentous time of my life. You made my stay superb.

Not the best option

FYI - This list was also sent to the property management company, Casiola, during our stay. I never received a response. Pros: -Pool was heated and warm upon our arrival -Enjoyed the little extras; such as dish soap, garbage bags, extra toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner and bar soap in bathrooms -WIFI was strong and easy to connect to -Beds are comfortable -Kitchen countertops, cabinets, layout is very nice Cons: -General dirtiness. This house is in desperate need of a deep clean. -Tile floors and grout need attention -Pool patio and front porch needs a good sweeping/blowing -Moldings/baseboards are dirty and scuffed -Missing TV remote in living room (had to use remote from lower master bedroom) -Vertical blinds on patio door are a disaster. Several are broken and several are turned the wrong way, rendering them useless -There are stains on the couch in living room and chair in master bedroom on lower level -There appear to be two back cushions missing from upstairs brown couch -Tension rod in upstairs jack and jill bathroom fell after one shower -Carpet is completely terrible and needs to be replaced. I didn't even want to allow my children to walk barefoot in the home. -Safety rail going into the pool is loose -Light in refrigerator is burnt out -Walls are in desperate need of repainting. There are scuffs and stains everywhere. -Could not locate a drain plug for the kitchen sink making it difficult to wash dishes. -Light bulb in back hallway is burnt out making it extremely difficult to see in the laundry area -Cockroaches in kitchen -The directional jet inserts in the outdoor spa seem to be missing. This allows the water to just forcefully flow out into the spa resulting in water that just bubbles up and out of the tub - this causes the water level in the spa to drop a good four inches below the perimeter tiles after a couple hours of use. -Noise. There doesn't seem to be any time limit on outdoor noise. -The amenity code we received from Casiola was incorrect. I had to go speak with the Solterra Resort representative and show her my reservation confirmation to get the correct code. She implied that this is not the first difficulty that they have experienced with Casiola Management.

Beautiful property

The property was absolutely beautiful. It was just like the description described it be. It was plenty of room for my family. The location was great; not far from the clubhouse. There was an issue with gas stove but maintenance came immediately and fixed the problem. The reason for the 4 star rating was on the last night of our stay; there was no hot water. So we ended up having to take cold showers. Not sure what was going on with that. Overall, my family enjoyed the house. We would definitely book this house again.

There was one issue with the gas stove. For some odd reason one of the burners would not turn off. I called the frobt desk; maintenance cae out in a matter of minutes and fixed the problem.
