Wenn Sie die Sunset View Lane hinunterfahren, gelangen Sie über die dritte Einfahrt zum Schild am Ende unserer Gasse, wo Sie erfahren, dass Sie in Camp David angekommen sind! Eine gemütliche rote Blockhütte, die fast 100 Jahre alt ist. Gerüchten zufolge wurde die ehemalige Ferienhütte von Gangstern aus Chicago benutzt! Mit den Unterschriften in den Protokollen werden Sie stehen und lesen, wer diese Hütte im Laufe der Jahre und bei ihrem Besuch besucht hat! Diese charmante rote Hütte wurde aus Baumstämmen gebaut, die im See schwammen. Mit 100 Fuß See und fabelhaften Sandboden zum Schwimmen. Die Hütte liegt 40 Meter vom Wasser entfernt und ist 600 Quadratfuß. Komplett mit einem Kühlschrank, einem Gasherd in der Küche, einer Mikrowelle, einem Wohnzimmer, einem Bad mit Dusche, einer vierjährigen Veranda mit zwei vollen Betten und einem Schlafboden für 2 Personen. Zwangsluftheizung und Fenster A / C. Die Veranda bietet originale Holzscheite und gewölbte Decken. Eine besondere Aussicht auf unglaubliche Sonnenuntergänge, wird nicht vergessen werden. Spot für tolle Lagerfeuer!

Vintage cabin on lovely E Fox Lake

Camp David is a small comfy vintage cabin very nicely situated on a beautiful clean lake. It is basically one room with a porch facing the lake that has been transformed into the bedroom. We really enjoyed our time there spending time on the dock, listening to loons, and exploring the lake in our kayaks. We appreciated the comfy furniture and the well-stocked kitchen. The bathroom definitely needs updating but it worked. The grill and outside furniture were in tough shape but we cleaned a couple chairs up and used them. Overall it felt like it was an old cabin with time-worn charm that’s been in a family for many years. Pro tip - watch out if you’re tall, the cabin has a low ceiling!

Short stay getaway

The cabin is nice.. I read some reviews and with the term "rustic" I wasn't sure what to expect but it was nice! The cabin is not brand new but it is fine. The bathroom is small but everything worked and it served its purpose! Everything works as it should and there are enough kitchen supplies and games/etc to keep you busy. The area is nice and quiet and the lake is great. It is shallow by the dock but the water is clear and it is deep enough for adults to swim and float around, kayak, boat etc. It was a nice relaxing few days away and it makes me sad to go back to the daily grind!

Beautiful location, beautiful lake, great rustic cabin and was stocked with just about anything you need other than food. Quiet and peaceful only noise at night were the loons. My buddy and I love to fish and we found both East and West Fox Lake great for fishing, rented a pontoon boat from nearby resort in Emily who delivered it to our lake. Neighbors were super friendly and nice. Would definitely stay here again.

It is an old building Ava you have to watch out for the low log in the middle of the structure if your taller than 5’10”! It has lots of charm and the neighbors were so so nice!

Unique cabin

The cabin is so cozy and just our style. Quiet neighborhood with a beautiful lake. It was windy the days we were there we weren’t able to grill or use the fire pit. We sat on the dock with our coffee and just enjoyed the beautiful scenery. We ate at the Wharf for dinner and the next day went to Nisswa for shopping and lunch. Can’t wait to go back!!

Getaway to Camp David

My husband and I took a long weekend trip up north to just get away and we couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. It was very rustic and welcoming, and close enough to town for a game of golf, to grab floaties for the lake or any groceries or food. We would definitely love to stay again!

Cute Little Cabin

The cabin is cozy and adorable. Close to the lake which is beautiful. The furniture, while old fashioned, was extremely comfortable. We spent a ton of time relaxing on the red couch! Had a few minor issues. The chain in the toilet kept coming loose, causing issues with flushing, and the water pressure in the sink and shower were near nothing. It was also extremely cold in the bedroom, despite us adjusting the heat, and the portable heater in the bedroom did not work. Overall, we seriously enjoyed our trip! I’d recommend this cabin to couples looking for a nice weekend to rest and relax!

A great 2 nights in MN!

Cabin was just what we were looking for. Something quaint and on a lake. Owner was very helpful with questions I had about the area prior to the trip and we even got to know their friendly neighbors. My favorite memories were early mornings on the dock with coffee and sitting by the campfire with a "non-coffee" drink listening to the loons. Kids loved being in a real log cabin!

We had the best weekend at Camp David! The cabin is a true up north experience, very rustic and charming. The lake is one of my favorite I have been to with crystal clear water and a very peaceful atmosphere. Wanda was excellent at communicating! We hope to be invited back in the future!

Pretty location but misleading pics

So while this cabin has lovely views of the lake and is a nice location there is a reason they don't have pictures of the bathroom. We were very disappointed with the unfinished bathroom (particle board walls, exposed pipes, sink with orange hard water stains, small lightbulb with cobwebs around it and no plug to use any hair dryer). We were in town for a wedding and had to use a friend's hotel room to get ready since our bathroom didn't have sufficient light or electricity. The bedroom wasn't cleaned well as evidenced by the Vicks vapor rub jar and kleenex we found behind our mattress and the wall. All in all a disappointment for the amount of money we were paying per night.

David and Wanda Hart welcome you to Camp David. Our family cabin has been the memory making machine for our family! With 4 adult children, their spouses and grandchildren, we have loved every minute spent at the cabin. We love to travel and would like to share our cabin with you. It's both quaint, charming and not like any other.

Darum fiel die Entscheidung auf diese Unterkunft

Like us - when you drive down our lane and see this red cabin for the first time, it is love at first sight. It was for us when we bought it in 1985. Up for a weekend of looking at lakeshore lots, we came across this cabin when looking at Grandma's old cabin down the road. Having grown up coming to this area since the 60's, seeing the charm of this cabin, it became a part of our memory making like grandma's before us.

The charm of the red log cabin caught our attention first - but then when we walked to the lake and saw the swimming area, we knew it was perfect. You can see to the sandy bottom of the lake for a long ways out. Fabulous swimming, boating and lake fun are the greatest memories along with the famous sunsets!
