Really amazing view and beautiful accommodations

I come to Isle of palms often especially to wild dunes and I always enjoy it. This unit was so comfortable and very clean. The beds are very comfortable and you can tell that the owners really care about their unit. We were on the 5th floor which I really enjoyed having that privacy. This is an exceptional view and a great price for a lovely two bedroom retreat

Perfect vacation.

The condo is beautiful with a wonderful ocean view. We found everything we needed and more. The beds were very comfortable and the condo was super clean. It's so hard to leave after a week of living on the beach with great accomodations. We would definitely recommend this condo for a perfect island vacation.

Amazing condo with beautiful views!

This was our first time staying in the Wild Dunes resort and we will definitely be back!!! The property is exactly how it is presented on VRBO and has all of the touches of home. We really enjoyed our stay and especially the sounds/view of the ocean from the deck. Anything that you could possibly dream of needing in the kitchen is provided.

Great getaway

My husband, son, and I loved the condo! It is very close to the ocean and the view is great! We especially loved that the porch was in the shade in the afternoons. We rode bikes a lot due to our $250 credit for chairs and bikes and that was very enjoyable. The weather was perfect! Would definitely want to stay here again!

Perfect for us!

We were a couple with an adult daughter. We wanted a comfortable 2BR/2BA condo with a view of the ocean and easy access to the beach. This unit met all our requirements. We could see the beach traffic but were far enough back to not be bothered by it. The condo is nicely furnished and decorated. We had no contact with the owner an minimal contact with the rental agent. We will go back and strongly recommend the condo.

Relaxing stay

Condo's view was beautiful and the deck is just as relaxing as it looks on the pics. Beds were very comfy! Pool and beach are quiet and family friendly Only 2 real negatives...rugs are well worn and look in serious need of a good cleaning. Outdoor cushions have bad mildew issue. Shower's pressure was wonderful, but watch out the hot water tank is very effective.

Fall Beach Getaway

Loved this condo. It wasn’t everything we needed plus some. Beautifully decorated and everything is very up to date. Couch on the beachside porch was the perfect Place to lounge and listen to the waves of the ocean. We watched the sun rise over the ocean and then watched the sun set over the bridge from the back porch. Being on the top floor made this the perfect getaway. I would definitely stay here again.

Great stay at Summerhouse

This was our first time staying at Summerhouse but have stayed on most of the condo properties in Wild Dunes. We were very pleased with our stay and think this is one of the best spots! The property itself was just what our family of 3 needed. I only give a 4 for cleanliness because I think there is an opportunity for a few minor updates, but nothing that would hold us back from staying in the future. We’d definitely return!

Nice property but needs some TLC

This is our second time in this unit. The views are great and Beachside was fairly responsive to our needs but this property hasn't had much investment since we stayed here last year. The renovations that were done a few years ago are still nice but aging and the bathrooms weren't done completely and show it. Good things: Of course, just being in Wild Dunes on the beach is super; pool is nice especially in the morning; kitchen is in good shape and well stocked; kitchen, dining and living areas are roomy and open; comfortable living room furniture, bed in the 2nd bedroom is nice and comfortable. Not so good things: all the metal furniture on the balcony is badly rusted and cushions on the sofa have mildew stains; there's an issue with water pooling at the front door. It was soggy during most of our stay; the bed in the master is ridiculously high. We are both tall and still had to leap up to get into the bed; there were mildew stains over the master shower but Beachside cleaned them (eventually) while we were there; dining room chairs are uncomfortable; fridge door swings open and bangs against the cabinets. Overall, a nice place--but for the money, I do expect a bit better.

Summerhouse condo beach view

We loved the condo. Two very large bedrooms with comfy beds. Very nicely decorated throughout. Pictures did not do it justice. Lovely view of both the pool and beach from the large lanai. Our only complaint was that the lighting in the condo needs improvement. Very poor reading lights. It would be great if overhead LED were added. The condo is built very soundly. Heard very little outside noise.

Condo was as advertised. Location great and an easy drive to Shops and historic downtown.

We originally chose this condo since finding 2 bedrooms both w large beds is not easy. There were TV’s in both bedrooms and the LR. The apt was clean, quite, comfortable and tastefully decorated. If you are an early riser the living rm is bathed in morning light. Sit on the covered balcony and watch the sun rise. There is nothing to obstruct your view of beach and water. If you enjoy cooking you will have all you need in the kitchen. If you are not a beach walker there is an off road walking path the length of The Wild Dunes complex. The Wifi allowed all 4 adults to utilize the connections without delays. Having a full size washer/dryer in a separate closed room meant there was no noise in the main living areas. The few recommendations in no way would ever stop us from returning or recommend this unit to friends. The bathrooms could use more towel racks or at the least door hooks to hang clothes, robe or a towel. I realizes guest may walk away w hangers but 6 closest hangers for a couple is a little sparse. The back master bed mattress is about 3 ft plus high and if you have an elderly or handicap couple getting in this bed could be an issue. Maybe a step stool could be useful. Since we were there in February having an extra blanket in the closet would have been nice. The Only kitchen issue is that some of the older non-stick pots have been scratched and had the coating worn off. Again. Because it is obvious that the owners have gone to great lengths to make this an amazing accommodation you will make this unit a great choice regardless of the minor observations.

discription of unit is an oversell

The location of Summerhouse and Wild Dunes is lovely. But Summerhouse is showing it's age inside and out. The bathrooms were tiny with no counter space, the master bed was so high that a stool was required to get in and out. The televisions were the cheapest on the market and the cheapest service was provided. The huge oversized furniture throughout made the condo seem uncomfortably crowded. Obviously we were disappointed and would choose a different complex next time.
