Wonderful break
We spent a week and had a wonderful time.
The barn has been tastefully and thoughtfully renovated with everything we needed. The location was suitably remote for us (three ferry rides from Vancouver, but they were an enjoyable part of the trip) and we loved being right next to the beach and a short walk from 'four corners', which had everything we needed.
The only slight issue was that the island's water is volcanic so it smells a bit although it is perfectly safe. However, the owners provided a 5-gallon bottle of water more was available about a 10-minute walk away. (We used two bottles in a week.)
We are not golfers, so we did not take advantage of the golf course next door although we could have. But it provided a nice grassy area with two ponds, which just added to the charm. The interior was spacious and we took advantage of the outdoor patio, as well as long walks on the beach (at high or low tide). You can walk to the next big beach and the owners also told us about several hikes elsewhere on the island that we took advantage of.
In summary, the place is lovely, the owners are delightful and we definitely recommend this property to others. Thanks for giving us such a wonderful break!
