Quick trip to California

We only spent two nights but it was perfect for what we needed. It was pleasant sitting out on the deck. The beds and pillows were really comfortable! Close to the beach, easy two block walk. Having the canal out back was very nice too. We’d definitely stay there again if we have the opportunity.For those not used to the parking in the area it can be a little daunting but manageable.

Overall it was a great experience. Only issue was we wanted to have a later checkout instead of 10am and it’s not available for this property even if we wanted to pay. Other than that, awesome time here.

Comfortable, but…

Everything was awesome, but a couple things to mention to improve amenities-We have stayed at this property before, and always love it. The only issue we had this time is that, though the intentions were good, we had new linens, including towels, throughout. The towels still had stickers on them and smelled like newly manufactured chemicals. They did not absorb water, so we had to take them to our college kid’s dorm to wash prior to using. In addition, the bedding was all polyester, so very uncomfortable, and “slippery”- the sheets and bedding kept sliding off throughout the night.

Loved this Canal home with a view.

The furnishings were very nice and added to the beachy ambiance. The beds were extremely comfortable and the bedding was luxurious! Our only issue was with parking and construction going on but it’s to be expected. We appreciated the many fans that were provided and a nice cross breeze made the home very comfortable. We would stay here again happily.

4th of July Beach Vacation

my family and I had a great time and this is a great spot. It’s very quiet along the canal, which is a nice break from the craziness along the beach. The property is freshly remodeled with a fully stocked kitchen. It did get a little warm in the afternoons with the lack of AC, but who really spends any time in the rental during the day when you’re in a beach town. :-)

Great house in a great location!

We especially loved the patio area with views of the canal -loved watching the paddle boarders and boats go by. The house was clean and comfortable, plenty of towels and nice bedding. Great location with easy walk to the beach, a park, restaurants & shops.

Fabulous House/Experience!

Good location, but....

This home as a decent layout and good location but it's poorly kept. For example one of our beds was not stripped and washed but it was made. Luckily I pulled the sheets back before my daughter slept in it to discover clearly soiled sheets. The king bed was turned sideways for some reason which caused a person who is 5'11” to have their feet hang over the edge. The patio wasn't picked up either.

Great place!

We loved the cute little cottage and the location. It was very clean and comfortable for six of us to stay in. The only downside, they were having a heat wave and there is no AC so it was a little warm.

Great location

This is our second time staying in this home because the location is amazing but it really does not sleep 6 well. The main bedroom is large but only has one king size bed. The second bedroom has a full size bed and little floor space. The kitchen is a good size, living room has a couch and chair with ottoman. Hard to seat 6 people. There is a dining room and a great size patio that extends out to dock. The carpet is filthy with stains all over. I almost bought an area rug to cover it up!! They ask you to remove shoes while in house but with those stains, I’d keep them on! The bathroom has a tub/ shower . Not very big . The tenant in the front of the house is extremely nosy. Locked our gate without asking us. Claims it’s safer. Was very adamant that my mid size vehicle was not parked the first day I was there and claimed it does not belong in the spot assigned. He’s a little senile.very annoyed I had to deal with him!! Like I said, it’s the location that brings me back!!

Little house on the canal

The location was great. We prefer it to the ocean side. The accommodation was a little shaky. The carpet was disgusting. Black and brown soil, dirt, oil, stains were over 60% of the carpet. It should be replaced. You couldn't comfortably walk on it bare foot. The pull up curtains were broken couldn't be operated. But there was a sign on them that read "do not touch". 75% of the view out the living room windows were blocked by these broken shades. I rolled them up to see out onto the patio and the view that we paid for. The sink backed up on the last day as we turned on the dishwasher. The drain seemed to be clogged. Glad it was our last day. If these things were fixed we would rent again as the location is very good.

Some good and some not so good

Let’s start with the good: The home’s location is a short walk to the beach, is close to shopping and restaurants, many of which have online ordering and takeout which is perfect for social distancing. The space is good for up to 4 adults. The deck is huge. We loved the ease of the check-in and check-out process and how easy it was to call when we had questions and a plumbing issue. Fairly clean and free of dust. The bad: The carpets are visibly dirty. The walls and ceilings have cracks and are in need of repair. The furnishing need to be updated as the couches are cracked and sagging. There is no regular cable tv, just Netflix.

Great location, okay house, little parking

Booking, entry and exit were easy. Kitchen had essentials. Bedding and towels were clean. Flooring and furniture were less than impressive but functional. Shower didn’t drain well. Patio was a nice bonus. Nearby beach, market, and restaurants along with the reasonable per night rate earned this property 4 stars.

So So!

Sadly, the house is cute. Needs some major work. Toilet isn’t secure to floor . Bedroom has a mildew Smell.. The trash sits outside where you dine so if they didn’t have trash day it was so stinky. The house is set far back from beach which we knew about . I think for the price we paid it was a rip off. There is No AC so if you plan on staying in to cook or anything during the day forget it. Parking Spot is only for a small car. The neighbor parked a relatives car in our spot so we had to chase down someone. That just sucked. My husband had to run all over the neighborhood to find the owner. Then, they couldn’t start the car. I kept driving around trying to stay out of the lane so people could get by. 😑😐We knew about that so we drove our daughters small car. The kitchen is cute and has everything you need.

This property was convenient and worked out well for us. The dutch door and back patio were fun! As others have mentioned, this property could use a few updates, some stronger floor fans, blackout blinds in the bedroom, etc.
