This Place is a Gem!

Cute, clean, and quaint! The condo was very clean, very accommodating, and the location couldn’t have been any better! Being able to walk out right onto the waterway was so awesome! We saw boaters, paddle boarders, lots of wildlife including a dolphin! We truly enjoyed ourselves on Anna Maria, and this condo made the experience even better. Thank you for such an inviting and comfortable place to stay!

A week inParadise

Lisa was a great host. The Love Shack was amazing. There were four of us staying the week and had plenty is space. The location provided easy access to the free trolley less than a block away. We were able to keep our boat just steps away in the canal. The north end of the island is super quiet. You can’t go wrong staying here!

Canal Side Paradise

Have stayed in the Bayou condos before and have also stayed at around 15 different homes on the North end of the island and this location is just perfect! We enjoyed sitting outside beside the canal or on the dock when we were not out and about and were rewarded almost daily with manatees, dolphins, interesting fish and birds. We fished from the dock and loved the view out to the gulf. The additional bathroom in this unit is a huge bonus over most of the other units in this complex having a single bathroom. The condo was very well laid out and very clean. We were greeted with a lovely welcome gift and communication with the host was excellent (not that we needed a single thing once we were checked in). The location of this property is ideal - a two minute walk to the beach (and sunrise) and a quick walk to Bean Point (and sunset). Close to the best shops and restaurants and only a few steps from the City Pier. You should definitely rent bikes from Beach Bums, eat breakfast on the Rod & Reel Pier, eat lunch at Ginny and Janie E's and try the pizza from Pizza Social. The only tiny, tiny recommendation we would make to improve the experience would be to add two additional chairs to use outdoors so that four people are able to lounge by the canal. Highly recommend this rental to anyone looking for an easy, relaxing space to soak up some Florida beach town magic.

Excellent condo with everything you could need. Location of actual beach was a bit misleading.

The condo was perfect. I realize that there is a beach very close to the condo, but it isn't a beach to relax on. It is roughly a 4 block walk to the beach that you would want to spend time on. That would be my only recommendation, either ensure that you have a car or rent a golf cart. Overall, the place is great!

Hidden paradise on the canal, close to beach!

Great location, walking distance to several restaurants, shops, and the beach. Property was clean, fresh, and equipped with everything we needed. We have never stayed on the canal before and we were pleasantly surprised with everything it had to offer.

We really enjoyed our stay. The condo was in the perfect location. We loved walking out to the pier, out back to the canal and Pine Street. The condo was beautiful and very clean. We will definitely be back!

Great location!!

Perfect for needs. Close to bay and restaurants. Well appointed kitchen, comfortable beds the living room furniture could use an upgrade. Sit on the pier and all your woes will disappear!

Beautiful island getaway

My husband and I stayed here for the week before Christmas. Check-in was easy, and the place was spotless. As described, we were steps away from the inlet from the patio. The beach and City Pier were right down the street, as were a ton of shops and restaurants. We spent a lot of time walking around the island, the beaches were absolutely gorgeous with sugar white sand. We also saw a lot of wildlife, especially pelicans and herons. Lisa was very responsive, checked in with us on our first day to make sure everything was OK. She also sent us recommendations, most of which we tried. Our favorite was Ginny and Jane E's, where we got breakfast our first day. Each day afterward we'd walk there and get their Jamaican Me Crazy coffee before heading straight to the beach to walk for awhile. Walking around the neighboring streets to look at all the various types of beach houses was also a lot of fun. The only other thing I'll mention is that the AC can only be set between 72 and 74. We were there during cooler weather, but we are used to sleeping with the AC set lower and as a result were warm most nights. Not a huge deal, and I understand why there's a limitation (FL humidity and the potential for frozen pipes). All in all, it was the perfect place to stay, in a great part of the island. We'd absolutely stay again.

Great Place To Stay

This is a great place to stay. Close to everything; bay, beach, shops, places to eat, and right on Pine Street. If you want to explore the rest of the island the Trolley stop is at the end of the driveway. Lisa is an awesome host! Will be staying here again in the future.

Excellent Location near the pier and shops

Great stay at AMI. The condo was very clean. The interior was well kept and upgraded. Restaurants and shops are just around the corner and the condo is a few miles from a publix. It is a great location right on the bay side near Anna Maria Pier. The canal behind the condo is full of wildlife. Birds, manatees and lots of fish. We enjoyed fishing off the dock. The host reached out before, during and after our trip. Check in process was easy. We enjoyed our stay and can’t wait to go back.

Great location and a lovely apartment

We spent 4 weeks in this nice apartment. It is very well equipped for a group of 4, especially if you like to cook by yourself. The location is perfect as you can actually see Anna Maria Pier from the apartment and it is just two minutes away to enjoy the relaxed evening atmosphere. We spent some time at the canal in front of the apartment and spotted dolphins and manatees passing by. Lisa always responded very quickly in case we had questions. Great place for a relaxed holiday!

Great place to relax!

The owner was very accommodating. She left us a welcome gift and allowed us to use her beach chairs and umbrellas. She communicated well with us on check-in and check-out procedures. She also sent us a list of her favorite restaurants and things to do on the island. This property is not ocean front, but it does have a dock with an inlet that the manatee and dolphins swim through daily. It was only a short 3 minute walk to the beach.

Quiet and relaxing

First time staying in the area. Lisa was great and very easy to communicate with. She gave a list of their favorite spots to check out which was nice. She checked in on us to see if we had questions and if there was anything we needed.House was clean and there was everything you needed there. Beds were comfortable. Loved walking out to the bay. Very quiet and secluded.

Paradise on the Bayside!

The perfect location for those who enjoy escaping the hustle and bustle of life. Close to all the must see locations of the Island. Everything you need is in walking distance. The condo was very well stocked, clean, and safe. The location is set back off the main road so there is privacy and green space along the canal. We rented bikes, a golf cart, and kayaks. The condo has all the other beach gear you may need. Lisa responded to questions quickly and gave personal recommendations from each of her family members making us feel at home. Looking forward to booking again!!

The Love Shack is exactly as described! Great location!

The love shack is exactly as described. Great location. clean, remodeled with all the amenities! Fully stocked! Overlooks the canal and right by the pier & bean point where your going to see gorgeous views, crystal clear water and amazing wildlife. It’s located on pine street where you will find delicious Eatery’s and shopping. 5 minutes from the beach. We rented a golf cart from Robin-hood rentals and they were amazing to work with. Lisa the owner was fantastic & Great communication! I would stay here again!!

Love Shack Stay

❤️We fell in love with Anna Maria Island 10 years ago. It is our happy place. We loved it so much we got married at Roser Chapel right next door to the Bayou and had our reception at the Sandbar. Rain or shine the Anna Maria Island vibe is addicting.

🌅Our fave thing to do is walk "the loop" at sunset. We made up the term, the route takes you on a 2.5-mile beach walk around the island and ending at the Sandbar restaurant for a sunset happy hour. 🍹

The location of this property is one of the most desirable on the island. You can park your car and don't get in it again until it is time to go home. We bought the property in 2015 and completely renovated it adding a 2nd bath - we have one of the only units in the bayou with 2 full baths. The interior details, materials, and fixtures are equivalent to those used in multi-million luxury homes found in Disney's Golden Oak. My husband Don is one of the select luxury builders in Celebration, Fl, and Disney's Golden Oak.

There is a boat slip outback. Bring a fishing rod, bay boat, kayak, or paddleboard - or rent them.
