New Years Stay

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I was pretty excited about staying here but left disappointed. The property management company is great. They allowed us entry 30-45 minutes prior to the normal 4pm check-in time. They're available and respond quickly to emails & phone calls. My issues lie within the functionality of the cabin. The bed is THE most uncomfortable bed I've ever attempted to sleep on in my life. Hence, I spent 3 nights sleeping on the couch, 2 weeks removed from shoulder surgery. Needless to say ... Not great! The main bathroom sink & tub were very slow draining, to the point of standing in water while showering. The gas fireplace did not work. To our surprise, a maintenance man came to fix it from the previous renter's repair request. It stayed lit for 5 minutes & never lit again. Once again, not great when you wake up on New Year's Day & it's 28 outside. Would have been nice to sit fireside w/ my wife in the "Couple's Retreat." Lastly, the kitchen amenities are pretty scarce. There's certainly enough to get by, but having salt & pepper on hand would be a nice gesture. All in all, spending north of 1200 for a 3 night stay was a very expensive lesson. I did alert the management company of the cabin's issues when they called to check in after the first night. I opted to not have anyone come out during our stay, given it's a holiday weekend, I didn't want to be bothered with repairs during our stay & it should've been working prior to our arrival, especially if you're charging a premium.

“All tucked away quiet and peaceful”

We needed a quiet peaceful getaway. The location was great. Close to Helen, Dahlonega, and other sightseeing places. The cabin was beautiful! The only complaint we had was the driveway was very uneven and hard going in and out. We were practically scraping the front end of our car. The other thing was the AC/Heat was set and locked. The fireplace was also not workable. We made the best of it and enjoyed the pretty cabin and beautiful leaves.

Perfect get away

This cabin truly exceeded my expectations. The location was perfect, offering serene views and the delightful opportunity to watch deer roaming from the back porch. The cabin itself was a real gem, featuring a well-appointed game room downstairs complete with a pool table and dart board, providing endless entertainment. To top it all off, the hot tub was a great addition, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. This cabin offers a wonderful blend of comfort and fun, making it an ideal choice for a getaway. Highly recommended!

Nice relaxing romantic stay.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The cottage was easy to find (GPS did just fine for us) and is located about 15 minutes from both Hellen* and Cleveland for dining options. The cabin and all amenities were very clean. We did not try out the campfire or go into the backyard. It looked like it could be quite muddy if there was recent rain, but that would be true almost anywhere in the mountains. We also did not really use the down stairs or pull out couch so we can't really speak to that. The hot tub was clean, but not too chemically. It has a privacy screen that provides an extra level of privacy from the nearby cottages and is in a screened in area to provide protection from bugs.Overall we loved it and hope to return again soon. *We recommend going to Hellen at least once for dinner and going to the Troll Cafe make sure you get a seat by the patio rail so you can watch the chaos of all the tubers coming through.

15 year anniversary

We choose to stay here to get away from the chaos of life as well as celebrate our 15 year anniversary and celebrate returning from a 9 month deployment. The cabin is located in a quite area secluded from the surrounding neighborhoods. Definitely use the directions that the managing company provides in an email. We initially used waze and it did not get us to the cabin. The cabin was clean and had more then enough space for us and our dog. I think our favorite part of the cabin was the reclining couch. After traveling for majority of the first day it was nice to be able to relax with our feet up. Overall we would stay here again but in cooler part of the year so we could do some of the hiking.

Anniversary vacation

The mattress and pillows need replacing. The ceiling fans need cleaning. We understand that this is a cabin in the woods but the outside needs some tender loving care.

Quiet getaway

My husband and I take a valentines cabin trip every year to cleveland/helen. This was a super cute cabin, it was easy to get to, and perfectly cozy for two. We enjoyed the hot tub (felt like one of the most private we've been to!) And the peaceful area the cabin was in.

Birthday Getaway

It was a perfect place for my wife and I to disappear for the weekend. The cabin was very clean for being in the middle of woods. Our only complaint was that the table was a little sticky and the mattress isn't a style that suits me. Other than that it was magical.

We came to trout fish and met some locals in the bar in Helen. They turned us in to the right location to catch trout. Having the cabin to return to after hiking and fishing all day made the whole trip worth while. Would stay again.
