Traumhafte Lage

Wir haben ein wirklich sehr schönes Ferienhaus vorgefunden.Es entsprach alles der Beschreibung auf der Website.Jeden Morgen konnten wir vom Deck aus die manatees beobachten.Zum Strand waren es ca 200m Fußweg. Perfekt ausgestattete Küche. Die Matratzen in den Kinderzimmern waren allerdings sehr ungemütlich,die Matratzenfedern waren leider deutlich zu spüren.Es wäre schön wenn nicht nur das kingsize Bett mit einer guten Matratze ausgestattet wäre...

Review

The house was very nice and was just like on the pictures! We watched the manatees every morning which was really beautiful to wake up to. Pros: The pool and hot tub were wonderful for taking a break from the beach which was only a 3 min. walk max. You can also take a break from the sun under the covered area, with a grill, TV and plenty of seats. It was very useful for eating outside. The beach area was great! There is a real nice bar where you could order food and delicious cocktails in the evening and watch the sunset! The beach also provides 5 volleyball nets which was perfect for us! We played every evening. Publix’s and other shops are 2 min away with the car, you could also walk if you wanted to. Contra: Unfortunately we came in the house and 2 of the bedrooms where not done. The plastic dishes where dirty with leftovers on them. We called the agency and told them about the bedroom and the dishes, they came strait the next day and cleaned everything. It is also very nice to have the boat deck and watch the manatees, but.... it was not always so beautiful. We had a lot of sea grass which was not nice looking at, and when the low tide came in it smelled very intense. But… thats nature :) All together we would recommend this location to people who would like to visit AMI :)

December 2024 Stay

We had a wonderful week on Anna Maria Island. The Manatee Watch house is in perfect condition. We have stayed there three times and highly recommend staying at this property. As always, Olaf and Marrissa were attentive and perfect hosts.

Second visit just as wonderful as first!

This is a special place. We have stayed here twice. Perfect home in the best location. Manatee sightings, easy walk to the beach, and comfortable home with everything you need. We rented kayaks both times we came and used them everyday. We even saw dolphins in the bay while kayaking. The owners, Olaf and Marissa are kind and welcoming. Will gladly return!

You can believe the hype...

This is a rare instance when you can believe the hype or marketing / home listing. The name says Manatee Watch and watch we did - we saw manatees every day (families of them playing only feet away). The pool area is beautiful and very relaxing - the shaded area and abundance of chairs helps. The home clean and very well maintained. I've never seen a rental stocked with so much in a kitchen - he had everything one could need. The location is excellent - close to the beach access, quiet, easy to get to and from and close to the shuttle. Overall, this is an excellent rental - kudos to Olaf.

Wonderful vacation!

Property was very clean, comfortable, and in a great location! We enjoyed having coffee by the canal every morning and even got to see manatees a couple of times! Great communication with owner as well - would definitely stay here again!

Perfect vacation property

What a great place. The house was a perfect size for five of us. The pool and jacuzzi were heated, which was a bonus. Most homes you rent require an extra fee for a heated pool. The property is at the end of a bayou, I think that’s wha you call it. The manatees were so much fun to watch. There was plenty of space to lay in the sun. There were 2 tables and chairs under the deck so you could hang out in the shade. A set of table and chairs , with an umbrella was on the deck right off of the living room. The kitchen was very well stocked. There were beach towel’s, chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, sand toys, cooler and a cart to bring any or all to the beach. The beautiful, semi private beach with sea green water, is a minute or two walk from the home. It is breath taking when you first step on the beach. Watching the sunset from the beach is serene. I’ve rented a number of homes in different locations in Florida and this is the best it gets. All I can say is, rent this home and you won’t regret it. The owner is very pleasant and attentive. We were very, very, happy on our vacation. What a great vacation home.

Great location Clean Fun area

Great house Comfortable and very clean Pool deck, canal for fishing and a 2 minute walk across the street to the Gulf The kitchen is well equipped but get out and visit the many restaurants close by The house was not too swanky it’s nice but didn’t have to worry about kids too much Relaxed! Perfect little paradise

We had a wonderful stay and the house was possible the best rental we have ever stayed in. From waking up to watch the manatee’s swimming in the cove out back, to a nice morning stroll on the beach, the location offered everything you could need and want. Take a hot tub, swim in the pool then hit the beach, rinse and repeat. Add in a few meals at some of the great local spots and that pretty much sums up the week.

Excellent Property

This house was perfect. The location is great. We enjoyed the heated pool and spa. It was really nice to sit in the spa on chilly nights. The 2 minute walk to the beach was so easy especially with all of the equipment that comes with house - chairs, beach cart, umbrella, cooler, beach toys, etc. Thank you Olaf and Marissa for such a lovely home.

Wonderful Property

We recently stayed at Manatee Watch for a week (2 Adults and 4 kids ages 17,16,13 and 10). This property was perfect for our family. It was clean, had all the amenities and was very comfortable. The pool and hot tub were wonderful and where we spent most of our time. It was a very short walk to the beach as well as to shops and a few restaurants. A short drive and you could easily get to everywhere on the island. Our host, Marissa, met us when we arrived and was extremely nice and welcoming. We hope to visit sometime again. Would highly recommend.

Manatee Watch is a special place on AMI.

We have just had a fantastic 11-night vacation at Manatee Watch. The home is very well situated on a waterway, yet just a few minutes walk from beautiful Holmes Beach. There is a Publix a couple of minutes drive away along with a Walgreens and a range of good restaurants offering a range of options from breakfast to dinner. It is an easy drive to the other beaches, shops and restaurants on the island or down to Longboat and Lido Key. There’s great shopping and restaurants 30 mins away at St Armand Circle. The house itself is tastefully furnished and very comfortable, the kitchen is well supplied and most importantly the whole house is absolutely, spotlessly clean. By the lovely pool, is a covered area outside offering various, very welcome sitting options in the shade along with a barbecue and TV. We saw manatees, including a mother and baby, from the back deck every day: it was a truly wonderful experience. Olaf and Marissa were very easy to contact and communication and response were always excellent. It was lovely to meet them both on arrival and we appreciated the time they took to show us round and ensure we knew how everything worked. We had no issues at all during our stay: everything worked perfectly. We have stayed in a lot of vacation homes and this was by far our favourite: it was a very special home-from-home. We would highly recommend this beautiful house as a base on AMI and are already planning on when we could return. Thank you Olaf & Marissa.

Delightful and Great Location!

We loved staying at Manatee Watch! We brought our 4 teenage boys and they loved the location to the sea, the trolley, their favorite breakfast spot and the pool and hot tub too. They fished on the dock and the pier too! The daily manatee sightings were an added bonus and such fun! The house was very clean and had a nice kitchen we cooked in a few times. Best vacation spot

Our family (3 young kids under 5) stayed here for the week and this place was just perfect!! Very clean, tons of fresh towels, felt very well kept up. Beds were firm but comfortable. Everything well stocked (without clutter) more so than other rentals we have stayed at. Pool and hot tub were clean and warm. Olaf greeted us on arrival and showed us how to work everything in the pool area. We definitely saw some manatees right off the dock, kids got sprayed by one and found it hilarious. Beach supplies were perfect with cart, pool floats, sand toys, chairs, umbrellas, cooler. Quick walk to the beach that was not crowded and absolutely gorgeous. We also loved the location. Quiet street with easy access to trolley, grocery store, beach etc. quick few minutes on golf cart to north of island but also closer to brandenton etc. if exploring south. Really recommend this place! Our family had an amazing time discovering AMI, and left feeling so refreshed! Thanks for hosting us :)

Amazing trip!

The house was amazing and was even better than the pictures showed. It had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Fully stocked kitchen, beach towels, beach buggy, beach toys, beach umbrella, coolers and folding chairs. The back porch and pool area were great and anytime we weren't at the beach, this is where we were. The location was also great with a short, two block walk to a beautiful beach for locals. Definitely plan on coming back in the future!
