We had a nice experience! It's a charming house in a really lovely neighborhood. We could walk easily to two grocery stores, several delicious dinner spots, and a fantastic coffee stand just one block away. The parking was challenging at times, but we were fortunate enough to find space on the street within a block every time. The drive into downtown San Diego was a breeze & never took more than 10 minutes.
I would only note that the AC is a window unit in the living room. There are times the house felt stuffy, especially returning after a long day out. But we'd leave the front door open & the nice breeze from outside helped. The owners include freestanding fans in both bedrooms, which was also beneficial. We didn't mind sleeping to the sound of fans, but if you do, keep that in mind.
The kitchen will feel tight it you take up much space while cooking or have two cooking at the same time. But having only made two light dinners in and easy breakfasts, it worked just fine.
I'd recommend it to others and would happily return.
