Dies ist ein wunderschönes 3.000 m² großes Haus am Lake Pokegama in Grand Rapids, MN.

Das Haus verfügt über 3 Schlafzimmer mit 2. 5 Bädern. Die SW-Belichtung hat viel natürliches Tageslicht mit herrlichem Blick auf den bewaldeten See von allen Zimmern. Eine voll ausgestattete Küche mit Wolf- und SubZero-Geräten sowie ein Essbereich für 8 Personen stehen zur Verfügung. Der Master BR verfügt über ein Kingsize-Bett sowie ein Doppelbett und ein Vollbad mit Badewanne und separater Dusche. BR2 verfügt über ein Queensize-Bett mit einer 1/2 Badewanne und BR 3 hat zwei extra lange, volle Betten mit einer 3/4 Badewanne. Die Fertiger-Einfahrt und die Garage bieten ausreichend Parkmöglichkeiten. Genießen Sie eine morgendliche Tasse Kaffee oder beobachten Sie den Sonnenuntergang von Ihrer Veranda aus.

Das Haus verfügt über eine private Standseilbahn mit Dock zum Angeln und Bootfahren. Wenn Sie Ihr eigenes Boot mitbringen möchten, ist ein öffentlicher Bootsanleger nur einen Block entfernt. Fahrräder, ein Kanu und 2 Kajaks sowie Schwimmwesten stehen ebenfalls zur Verfügung. Für Golfer ist der schöne 18-Loch-Golfplatz Pokegama nur eine halbe Meile entfernt. Radfahrer können auf dem Hinterrad in die Stadt radeln oder mit dem gepflasterten 75-Meilen-Mesabi von Grand Rapids nach Hibbing und darüber hinaus fahren. Für die (Motor-) Biker bieten die Flussstraße und der Highway 38 einige der besten Möglichkeiten, die Minnesota zu bieten hat. Wenn Sie Pilot sind und im Itasca County Airport (KGPZ) fliegen möchten, ist ein Full-Service-Flughafen mit einer 5000-Fuß-Landebahn und einem ILS / WAAS-Instrumentanflug.

Das Haus ist nur wenige Minuten von der Innenstadt von Grand Rapids entfernt, wo Sie alle Annehmlichkeiten dieser schönen Stadt mit Restaurants, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, Kunst, Theater und vielem mehr erleben können. Erfahren Sie im Forest History Center gleich nebenan, wie die Holzfäller das große Holz fällen. Für medizinische Notfälle sind wir weniger als 3 km vom Grand Itasca Hospital und Medical Center entfernt.

Last Minute Booking Saved our Vacation!

We found this property after our original booking was cancelled 3 days before check in! Talk about a blessing in disguise!! This is an amazing property in an incredible setting. The well appointed kitchen provided us the opportunity to cook and enjoy our vacation stress free. Close enough to Grand Rapids to walk yet secluded enough to feel like a true get away. The Funicular down to the lake was great! Quiet, secluded beautiful and well appointed. We will definitely book again!

Family Christmas

My husband, our 2 adult daughters plus a "could be?".! came to celebrate Christmas with my 92 year old father. It was absolutely perfect! Christmas is a big deal in our family and our host made her home Christmas cozy and wonderful. My Father lives 5 minutes away in Assisted Living and was able to enjoy visiting everyday. He misses seeing the lake and a fireplace so much but was able to have a great Christmas week enjoying both. We can't thank you enough Kathy for your hospitality, extra touches and your beautiful home. (She even made sure a wheelchair ramp was installed to bring dad in.). Cooking was fantastic in the beautiful and fully equipped kitchen with views out to the lake. Each of the bedrooms were luxurious. The great room was spectacular with it's view over Pokegama and fireplace. We all ventured out to the lake for a walk on the ice. We also rent out our lake home in the Adirondack Mountains on VRBO and so appreciated all the extra effort she gave to making us feel at home! Thank you SO much Kathy!!! Hope to be back.

Great fall weekend

We came to visit family for 4 days in Grand Rapids and the property was great for the 5 of us. We really enjoyed the screen porch on a rainy morning. Loved having a fire each night with plenty of wood supplied. The tram going down to the lake and pier was amazing for everyone, especially our handicapped brother. Kathy was a great host and was easy to communicate with. Will stay again in the future!

Perfect Family Get-Away

We had a wonderful stay! The property was clean, spacious and loaded with amenities. It was a perfect place to unwind, take in the beautiful lake views from the dock, listen to the loons and swim at the sandy beach. The Hill Hiker was a life-saver for our senior guests and the fishing was fantastic! I definitely recommend this property to those looking for a peaceful get-away to enjoy the beauty of northern MN, and look forward to returning in the future.

Perfect property

Rented this home to have a space to so i al distance with and older family member. It was perfect. Many option for places to sit and relax outside and a good sized screened in porch. We will for sure rent this home again. It was also nice that there are bedrooms on opposite sides of the house so our family has one side and my parents had the other side.

Perfect rental for two families

We had a wonderful time staying here. We had two families with 3 kids altogether and the large floor plan allowed us plenty of places for us all to congregate but also to spread out when we needed space. We did plenty of fishing, tubing, and swimming in lake. Location is close to town, yet secluded. Also a shorty drive to Duluth for a day trip. Thank you Kathy and Kent for a great stay!

Beautiful House, Spectacular View!

My family of eight was very comfortable staying here while we attended our daughter's wedding. The house is fully equipped and made us feel like we were in our own house. As we spent the week here, having a nice kitchen and washer/dryer was a big help. Our three grandchildren enjoyed exploring the backyard and fished on the dock below. Highly recommended!

Beautiful property.

We had a fabulous stay while here. The house was roomy even with 8 of us staying. The yard was large and private. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to get away and just relax!

Wonderful Vacation Spot

We stayed for a week. The house was very large and accommodating for 6 adults and 2 kids. We enjoyed the screened in porch, making s'mores at the fire pit, the ease of getting to the place and the beauty of the lake. The lake is very big and we were able to find a map in the house of the topography, which helped because the shoals are not marked with buoys on the lake. We were able to launch and trailer our boat daily without having to pay a boat launch fee and it was close by. We also brought ATV's and had to drive about 15 minutes to the closest trail. The water frontage was okay. There were rocks we had to walk over first to get into the water, highly recommend water shoes. After that it was sand and then seaweed past the dock. We also did some fishing. We caught a couple fish off the dock but had better luck going out a little further on the boat to catch decent sized fish. The canoe was nice and the kayaks are definitely meant for smaller/petite people. Overall had a great time and will definitely stay there if we vacation in the area again!

Family Staycation

We had 2 families that escaped to the northwoods of Minnesots for a little staycation. The property was everything we expected and more. The lake was beautiful and much larger than we anticipated. The property owner was very welcoming and gave us lots of local advice. Being golfers the proximatey to the local golf course was great. And it was a beautiful and reasonably priced course. The large lot made it easy for the kids to enjoy basketball, playing catch, yard games and of course nightly fires. This was a great northwoods getaway with all the modern amenities. We will definitely remember this property as we plan future group vacations.

Last second booking was awesome

We were double booked at a different property. We found Kathy and customer service helped us book with no lead time. Kathy took us in like long lost friends. The property was great and we had everything thing we needed. Would not hesitate to go back and definitely recommend staying there.

Nice house and location

This house was perfect for our group of 6. It has enough bathrooms and the beds were comfortable. It's close to town and has nice views out of every room. I would like to come back in the summer next time. The owner responded to questions quickly.

Get cabin get away

The pictures do not do this place justice. The view of the lake is breathtaking, and the rooms are quaint. The living room and kitchen were very spacious and perfect for gathering. We had such an amazing time! The weather was also great for a fire, and super private area. Close to everything you need but far enough were you feel like you are alone. I would say the 4th bedroom, take with a grain of salt. We were warned about the state of the room but didn't realize that you do need to walk through the room the get to the third bedroom and main bathroom. But a small detail. I would recommend this house to anyone!

Our best lake vacation ever!

This is the ideal location on pokegama to visit our favorite spots on the lake and it was convenient to town. Plenty of space for our 2 families and having a kitchen big enough for multiple cooks made it easy to feed a crowd. The dock was perfect for securing our large boat and the boat landing is so close by it was fast and easy to get the boat in the water and start enjoying the lake immediately.

We live in the Twin Cities, but purchased the home as a vacation property for our young family in 2004, enjoying many years on the beautiful Pokegama Lake. We ended up building a larger home on an adjacent property to accommodate our expanding family, but couldn't bear to give up our original home so decided to put it on VRBO for others to enjoy. With its serene location, beautiful views and proximity to town, we think you will love it as much as we did!
