Stayed here for a one night stay whilst making our way from Fairbanks to Seward.
Along the way down we took advantage of the extended daylight season and wound up on a trail many hours more than planned, eventually losing all light, arriving in the pitch black, and checked-in much later than planned. No worry there though, as Steve was so accommodating and left lights on for us so we’d be able to find our way.
Upon arrival to the room, a chalkboard with our names outside the door awaited us. This was a nice welcoming touch as well as a good way to make certain we weren’t erroneously trying to open the wrong door!
The next morning we took a quick stroll down to the creek and watched the numerous salmon on their journey. After that, we went into the lodge and got acquainted with Steve whom has a great personality and interesting story on how he wound up owning the property.
The property is very quiet and away from the hustle and bustle of neighboring tourist towns and was a real treat as most of our other accommodations were just that.
You won’t regret staying here.
