Wonderful condo in a great location!
This condo was exactly as described, and perfect for our family of four! We had a minor issue with the A/C unit freezing up, but maintenance resolved the issue very quickly. We hope to stay at this property on future trips to PCB!

First time at this condo, but hopefully not the last!
This is a wonderful property. The Condo was clean, cute beachy decorated, description was spot on, pics were accurate!! Pools are very nice. Ocean front view! Beach chairs included was great!! Location on East end of PCB is great! Upon arrival, air was set on 72 but was 77. We gave it a day & it never cooled off, so called the main # given at reservation & they sent an air guy within 1 hr.. Fixed!!!!! We were Blessed with perfect weather, .. I highly recommend !!

Review of Emerald Coast destinations Summerhouse 202A, PCB
We have stayed multiple years in the Summerhouse. We love its location, its pools and its layout. This condo was so cute & colorful with its beach decorations. However it had multiple problems. To begin with, the elevator was not working for the majority of our stay. This meant that upon arrival we had no way to get ourselves, our luggage or supplies up to the condo except by 3 flights of stairs (condo is on second floor, but there is a ground floor). Other problems were: the tub did not drain well; one commode was continually slow to flush; there was a leak under the kitchen sink; there were open electrical outlets in the bedroom; the sliding glass door to the porch was not working properly & almost impossible to open; the linens were of the cheapest quality, pillowcases were not provided for all the pillows; no hand towels & only one dish cloth/towel were provided; the kitchen was well stocked in some items such as plates, glassware, pots & pans, but other items were lacking - there were only five forks, one teaspoon, & four tablespoons (for a condo which sleeps 6!!). Emerald Coast Destinations, the VRBO host for this condo was absolutely the WORST; I will NEVER rent from them again. Their customer support agent was rude, offensive and grossly unhelpful. The only redeeming Emerald Coast employees were Dalton, the very nice & pleasant maintenance man who came & carried all our luggage up (but he was dispatched only after we started talking about the ADA) & the cleaners

The location was amazing! View was beautiful! Kitchen sink leaked and closet door was off the hinges when we arrived but maintenance came up to fix within 2 hours of me notifying them of the issues! Room set up was nice but definitely could use a deep clean!! I would come back to this condo building for sure!!

Ok for the price
The complex was really nice. Pool and beach very close to complex and the place was well kept and clean. Parking also very close. Based on previous reviews, I did not have high expectations for the unit but we booked last minute and got a better price so we took the risk. The actual unit felt cluttered with too much stuff in the unit taking up space like several artificial trees and decorations. No space in kitchen to put the food, so we left them in bags on the counter. It was outdated, showers felt dirty and the floors were very dirty. We wore shoes inside the whole time because of this. Overall, I'd go back to the complex but not sure about the unit unless it gets a deep clean and declutter.

Summerhouse Condo Stay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our unit was number 202A but it was really on the 3rd floor as the first floor is office/admin area. The condo wasn't ready at 4pm (check in time) we got the condo at 5:10pm which made for a long day - I think check in time for the amount you pay in peak season is a bit late. Check out was 9am, also a little early. The condo itself was cute and colorful - very beachy atmosphere. The queen bed (in the master) was very comfortable. There were only 2 in our party. I highly suggest travelers bring toilet paper, paper towels, bath soap, dish soap, and laundry detergent and countertop cleaner as very little is provided, if any. The TV in the living room was okay but the two bedroom TV's wouldn't work. Maybe we just didn't know how to use the Roku because it was all Roku and apps - no local news or anything. The condo complex is great with great pools, great beach area and some entertainment through the week. The location is exceptional. We would definitely stay here again.

Horrible experience !!! BEWARE
Unit was filthy, bed frame fell in the middle of the night, water leak under bathroom sink (all towels soaked), stains on the wall and blood stains in the bathroom (floor trim). Dining chairs broken. We have stayed at The Summer House many times but this unit was by far the worst one ever!! Sent several emails and pictures to the management and was told someone would be there to address the issues but no one ever came. The AC was not working the very first day. Again email sent but ended up having the complex to send someone to fix so we could get some air flowing.. Very bad communication from the management. Poorly managed and very obvious once they receive the rental fees they could care less. We had to get blocks of wood cut at Home Depot to put under the bed so we would have a bed to sleep in. The last email communication from them, they ask what could be done to make our stay better. I ask for a partial refund. Haven’t heard anything since!!!

A beautiful location
We absolutely love this complex however it was a bit of a surprise when 5 days into the stay the mgr stopped us regarding no wrist bands or parking passes! She advised we were lucky our cars hadn't been towed!!! $30 pee peeson was requested for arm bands and parking passes. I was absolutely not thrilled about this added expense with no warning!! Otherwise, the complex and area are fantastic! We will be back to the area for sure!

Property need to work with cleaning and updating of the furniture.
This is my second time in this property. First time was amazing, this time we was dissatisfied. Dust and sand all over the place, you can't see yourself in the mirror, which is one side of the wall. Property manager overcharged me compare with what was advertised in the web. And when I emailed them they only replied with the bill that they charged and did not checked what was in web. Very dissatisfied.

This particular unit looks as it is pictured on VRBO, however upon arrival this condo didn’t appear to have been cleaned at all. We realized we had not been sent a parking pass to print off ( part of rental agreement), so I purchased one from the office and got our wristbands, which also were not in the unit. The furniture is completely worn out, stained, and very uncomfortable for sitting. The beds are uncomfortable and have a bad smell, as does this entire unit smells bad. We cleaned the entire condo, sprayed with Lysol.The kitchen stove, oven were too dirty to cook on. The 2 small chairs on the balcony are rusted and stain your clothes if you sit down. Master bathroom had toilet issues and tub drain isn’t working well. Overall, this isn’t a four/ five star unit at all. I’ve made Emerald Coast Destination Inc aware of these things, however no response from the property manager to date. This resort has 2 beautiful pools, easy beach access, and friendly office staff! However, I don’t recommend this unit or to use Emerald Coast Destination Inc for your vacation plans. We were extremely disappointed in the condo overall. We do not recommend it, our first time getting a bad unit with VRBO., whom we have used for years coming to PCB.

Overall stay was good- view was spectacular overlooking the pool & the beach. The cleanliness of the property could have been better. There was sand all in the floor & I washed and changed the sheets bc it was also in the beds. There were ants - I just went and bought ant traps and spray to avoid the hassle of calling maintenance and having to vacate the property for a certain amount of time, it did the trick and was easier.

Reviewer Comments: We were very pleased with the accommodations and the amenities at summerhouse and the attentiveness of the ECDI staff when we had to contact them. Very friendly and efficient!We loved the layout of the room! The guest bathroom doors do need attention. Neither one locked and it was very difficult to close them. This has obviously been a problem for a while as evidenced by the paint being scraped off of both doors. A handle to pull them shut would be helpful. The only thing I would mention as needing reviewing is the housekeeping. It does not appear that the company used for cleaning is thorough at all, mediocre at best. When we arrived, the floor was not clean. We could see things stuck to the floor in the kitchen and under the dining table. After walking around getting settled in, the bottom of socks of those that were wearing them were black as were the feet of those walking barefooted. It seems the floor had not been mopped in quite a while. If we dropped something on the floor, we would use a Clorox wipe to clean it up and every time the wipe was completely dirty. Also, when pulling the couch bed out, we found animal feces behind the couch. I don’t know if this is a room that accommodates pets, but if not there has been a pet there recently. One child that was with us is allergic to dogs and cats. He started sneezing almost as soon as we entered the condo. Another testament to the not thorough cleaning of housekeeping. Lastly, the master tub is almost completely clogged. It seems that when housekeeping was cleaning the tub they would notice this and report it. The tub starts filling up immediately after starting the water. We would definitely rent through ECDI again and at Summerhouse. We would hope that the cleaning company would be reviewed and checked after they clean a unit.
