This house was clean, nicely furnished, and in a quiet neighborhood that's centrally located. We absolutely love the mid-century modern style of the house (but were relieved to find modern—if modest—appliances). Right down to the push button light switches and "atomic" dishes, it was a blast from the past in all the best ways. Despite its age, the house was remarkably well cared for. (I think the only thing we found that didn't seem to work was the vent fan in the master bathroom, and that could have been user error.)
The pool was clean but it was late enough in the season that the water was too cold for us to really be able to enjoy it. There isn't a separate fence around the pool so it might not be the best fit for families with small kids, but our teens loved it.
Even better than the house, however, were the hosts—Tal and Sarah—who were very communicative and accommodating. They went out of their way to make our stay more relaxing and enjoyable. While they are protective of their house—quite understandably!—they were nothing but gracious and helpful.
I strongly recommend this place to any small, responsible family looking for a nice, quiet neighborhood to be their home base while visiting the LA area.
P.S. In keeping with nearly every MCM house we've ever visited, the hot and cold water were backward on the master bath. ;-)
