My husband and I stayed for 4 nights with our 2 old dogs. They loved the adventure of climbing on the rocks and splashing in the river. We loved the privacy and lovely scenery.
The owner, Patrick, was quick to respond to our rental request as well as reaching out to us on arrival day, but really, we didn't need him for anything after that. Arrival/departure instructions were simple and clear.
The cabin was very well appointed and exceptionally clean and comfortable. We weren't interested in cooking during our relaxing getaway, so we didn't miss having an oven, not even a little. There's a frig, coffee pot, toaster oven, and a nice big smoker/grill on the deck and town is just a 10 min drive if we wanted a restaurant or store.
We really enjoyed being disconnected from the internet and cable tv. We made use of the jigsaw puzzles and DVD video library. We sat for hours outside on the large deck birdwatching and listening to the gentle flow of the water. There was plenty of trees for shade around the cabin as well as at the river. A lovely family of cardinals kept us company and the stars at night were big and bright.
It was an easy walk down the mowed, gentle grassy slope to the river, and lots of cool up-croppings of large granite rocks surrounded by wildflowers.
This property is obviously very well kept and managed. It was really all very beautiful and peaceful and we plan to come back again.
