Beautiful oceanfront getaway

We absolutely LOVED our stay at this beautiful condo. It was immaculately clean (and I’m a neat freak) and stocked with everything we needed for the week, from bath and beach towels, to sheets, to beach chairs and boogie boards, to kitchen supplies. The view was unbeatable and we loved the automatic blinds opening up to the unobstructed view of the gulf each morning. The pool was lovely, and with all of the security requiring key fobs to enter, we felt very safe. The property manager was very attentive and check in/out was a breeze. Would love to stay again someday and would highly recommend to others.

Somerset vacation

Marco Memories

The property and view were great. We had to change units a couple of weeks out due to painting going on at the South Tower. We were assured the refund process and payment would transfer seamlessly except that the damage insurance did not and it cost us an extra $39. The Property managers were very communicative but said they couldn’t do anything about it and that we had to go through customer service ay VRBO. When we checked in and entered the unit, the exterior door knob came off in our hand. There were also cockroaches darting across the family room, the kitchen counter, coming out of the dishwasher area, and the guest bathroom. We reported the issues on day 2 of our 7 night stay. We were told the Property HOA would have to take care of the bugs. I get that it is Florida but no one responded. The response to the door handle was that the property managers would “handle” the door knob right away. They never did and we struggled to close the door several times per day as we were in and out for a wedding trip. It was annoying, having to use the key to pull the door closed and having the handle drop to the floor. It was a worn set screw problem that could have been fixed with Allen keys which we did not have with us. All in all, the view and accommodations were what we wanted. The addition of a dresser to the guest room would help as there was no place in there to set out your things. The master was great.

Perfect relaxing condo

We loved our stay at this condo. The property was beautiful, quiet, well maintained. The condo had everything we needed and beautiful views of the Gulf. We got all the particulars which made check in easy. Planning to return next year. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Great Condo steps to Gulf

Very clean condo that has all the amenities you would need for your stay. A well equipped kitchen, good beach towels and linens and the locker is full of beach chairs, boogie boards and a collapsable cabana. Definitely will return.

Great winter get away

Great location. Only comment - when we asked for more dishwasher soap and toilet paper we were advised only a "starter" amount is provided - which was 3 days. For the price of renting, I would recommend supplies be for the length of stay.

Nice Location/ Lots of space

The location was great- right on beach with great balcony. Walking to many places from property was very convenient. The property had everything needed for stay- except supplies of anything- need to buy garbage bags, paper towels, toilet paper, laundry detergent etc…. The beds were old/dated as were the linens, towels were old and dingy- had to buy my own. Elevator had warning that it was faulty and ride at own risk- so a lot of stairs. Overall place was very nice- but could have been made much nicer with very little investment.

Perfect Getaway

We had such a wonderful time in Marco Island and so enjoyed our stay at this beautiful condo. The ocean views were beautiful and having access to beach chairs and umbrellas for days on the beach was perfect. We enjoyed our week at Somerset!

We really liked the size of the condo, the location on Marco Island, and the lower level assigned parking. We had a wonderful week. The only con was the condition of the beach equipment. This was very important to us, as we vacation in Marco mainly because we love the beach and water. . We shared that information with the owner/ manager and they said they would be updating and replacing the beach equipment immediately.

Loved It!!

This was a perfect location for our beach get-away! We absolutely loved being beach front with such easy access. The bed was comfortable, and we both slept great. The host communicated well and responded quickly. Our only concern was the sheerness of the kitchen window covering. At night one could see through all the way through the condo. (We stored our large luggage in front of the window and that helped for our situation.) I did mention this to the host at the end of our stay and I'm sure they will correct this easy fix. For that reason, I still gave it a 5-star rating.

Amazing Beach Front

Beach/pool- need a key to access pool and beach area. I love this because public beach access isn’t too far- it’s private. Extra beach supplies in the unit’s storage area- didn’t use them but they’re available. This point is a big one in my parent book- they don’t do the rental chair/umbrella on this beach. So, I can put my beach chairs as close to the water to watch and have fun with my kids. Two pools, decent size, one on each side of the building. Felt safe walking the beach. Plenty of daily walkers taking advantage of the beautiful beach Unit- love the “mud room” when entering. It’s the drop zone for shoes and extras- preventing sand from getting in the unit. The area in the kitchen- looks like the butler’s pantry- EXTRA STORAGE FOR FOOD AND STUFF. They have laundry room in the unit so no coins for a laundry mat trips. Kitchen appliances work great- seem very new. There was a Keurig and traditional 12 C coffee pots. Plenty of pans/cook ware and plates/bowls. Another reason I chose this unit is because it sleeps 6 and actually has seating for 6- not 4. Beautiful beach view from master bedroom and living room- both sliding doors. Bathrooms are plenty big. It’s been updated - not patched over. Area- great restaurants. If they take reservations, make them. Popular area for all families, retirees, couples. Everglades where about 30 minutes of the unit. Tons of birds to identify and wild life!

We’ve stayed a few different places on Marco and this was by far our favorite. Great spacious condo, Katrina was so extremely helpful during the rental process and the view is the best!

We instantly fell in love with our beautiful condominium, here at The Somerset. Our condominium is filled with beach themed photography and decorations, which makes everyday feel like a vacation. Not only do we love having our morning coffee with the breathtaking beach front view, we also love the variety of amenities offered.

When deciding where to purchase our condominium, Marco Island was really a no-brainer. The island is a close-knit, family-oriented community, making you feel right at home wherever you go. Not only is the condominium walking distance from many local restaurants, putt-putt golf, and the local movie theater, but the island takes great pride in its reputation as one of the safest cities in Florida.
