Dieses Haus auf einer gemauerten Ranch am Potomac River bietet einen weiten Blick auf das Wasser, herrliche Sonnenauf- und -untergänge sowie einige der besten Möglichkeiten zum Salzwasserfischen. Der private, voll ausgestattete, erweiterte Angelsteg eignet sich perfekt zum Sonnenbaden oder zum Angeln. Der Pier umfasst eine große Fischreinigungsstation, einen Brunnen, Rutenhalter, Strom und Wasser. Bringen Sie Ihre Angelruten mit oder verwenden Sie unsere, die zur Verfügung gestellt werden. Das Haus verfügt über einen hellen Flussraum, der in Tageslicht getaucht ist und in einer temperaturgeregelten Umgebung einen entspannenden Blick auf die Bucht und den Fluss bietet. Alle drei Schlafzimmer sind großzügig geschnitten und im Wohnzimmer befindet sich ein gemütlicher Kamin. Draußen können Sie auf dem Achterdeck sitzen und die warme Brise der südlichen Bucht genießen. Das Haus bietet auch eine geschlossene Veranda, wo Sie einige lokale gedämpfte Krabben genießen können. Schwimmwesten, Strandtücher, Gartenstühle sind vorhanden, um das Wasser zu genießen. Die Gemeinde bietet auch eine Bootsrampe, einen Sandstrand und einen überdachten Picknickplatz. Die Einkaufsmöglichkeiten mit Lebensmitteln, Restaurants und einem voll ausgestatteten Angel- / Angel- / Ködergeschäft sind in ca. 10 min zu erreichen. Das Haus verfügt auch über Highspeed-Internet und Kabel-TV. Wir sind ein haustierfreundliches Zuhause und wissen, dass sie ihre Zeit am Wasser genauso genießen werden wie Sie.

Peaceful and relaxing and what a view!

The cottage was perfect! Very quiet and relaxing and included everything we needed and more. Caught a few fish and enough crabs for a couple of dinners. We hope to come back again.

My family spent a week fishing and crabbing at the Rivah house and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The view of the river is second to none and the dock provided us with enough activities to keep us all busy. We would definitely return given the opportunity

Quite neighbor. Perfect for couples or family. Dog friendly with a little beach for swimming. Dock was great for fishing, sunbathing, enjoying the sunrise and sunsets.

Amazing place right along the bay, great wildlife and crabbing!

This place was absolutely spectacular! It looks a lot larger than we expected so we had plenty of space to spread out and be comfortable. The pier was an amazing place to be outdoors on the water for both crabbing and fishing. Lori was very helpful and responsive to all of our questions. I would definitely recommend this and would like to return!

Beautiful Waterfront Property

Beautiful waterfront - relaxing, and fun! Wonderful accommodations- immaculate home with well stocked kitchen-cookware/dishes/utensils/crab pots for steaming and required accessories, games, pier, fishing poles, crab pots off pier for catching crabs, grill, small beach for swimming, friendly community along the water-we went for walks, and dog friendly. Christmas 2022

Wonderful vacation on the Potomac

The cabin on the Potomac is a place to kick off your shoes and stay awhile. If you are looking to get away from it all with the conveniences of home this is it! Not fancy but all around extremely comfortable with good beds and lots of comfy sofas in the living area. Good crabbing and fishing from a dock that has it all - a sink with running water, live well, lights and gear available if you forgot yours at home. We’ve booked vrbo/homeaway’s from Seattle to Cape Cod and this one ranks high on the must return list. Thank you Lori

Property and view was awesome. Great swimming and great yard for our dog!

The home was very comfortable and spacious. The river room had spectacular views and is where we spent most of our time. The home had everything you needed for your stay, they even supplied shampoo and soap! Lori, the owner, was very accommodating and hospitable. She answered any questions in a very timely manner and made our stay as comfortable as possible. Just a little heads up, the town is very quiet with not a lot of activities for younger children other than fishing and swimming.We would rent this home again in a heartbeat!! This was stat number 2

I'm just going to keep count of how many times we've stayed here, going forward. I love the picturesque view of the Potomac from the lovely "River Room." Although there was some rain during our stay, our families still enjoyed. The house is equipped with a Wii gaming console, and board games to keep any family busy during not so favorable weather conditions. With all that said we'll be back again for visit #3 😉.

Amazing Location!!!

For Easter weekend we were invited down to Lottsburg,VA by a family friend who was staying in a nearby cottage. I reached out to Lori about the distance her property was from my friends. She was so prompt with her response to any questions I had before, during, and after our stay. The location is phenomenal! Very peaceful. The property is well taken care of, and beams with pride of ownership. The property is kept stocked with anything you may need to have a pleasurable stay. There was GREAT fishing for us on the pier, only a few feet away, which made it very convenient to fish, and have other outdoor fun while waiting for a bite. We'll definitely be returning for more FUN and MEMORIES!!!

Such a great vacation

I really enjoyed this vacation. We caught over a bushel of crabs (keepers) across the week. The fishing was pretty good. We caught a little of everything. Unfortunately there was a decent amount of sting rays, but it was fun to reel them in too. On our last full day we found a very friendly and experienced charter boat captain right down the street so we finished the week with a whooping 28 Spanish Mackerel (36 inches was the largest) and 1 blue fish. We ran into some plumbing issues during our stay but Lori promptly addressed it. The sun room was the highlight of the entire house. When we weren’t on the pier, we were relaxing there enjoying the view. A friendly neighbor even brought us his surplus cucumbers and tomatoes from his garden. We’ll definitely be coming back.

Another Wonderful Stay

It feels like home when we get to the Cottage. We feel the outside world instantly melt away. Lori and her family go out of their way to make sure that their guests have everything that they need so that the vacationing can commence right away. This was our fourth stay at the Cottage but the first at this time of year. We dream about the view from the River room between visits. There were ospreys all over this time and a resident pair was repairing their nest that is right next to the dock. This was new to us because the ospreys are usually gone when we come in the Fall when multiple eagles move into the area. We fished and crabbed most days and fished a few nights. The dock is lighted with lights pointing at the water for night fishing. There were dragonflies around during the day and lightning bugs at night. We also saw dolphins and a loggerhead turtle right off the dock. Nature abounds here. At night, we fell right asleep in the comfy master bed. It is just the two of us Seniors and we enjoyed watching the sunrise and sunset almost every day and evening. This is such a special place and Lori and her family are very generous to share their home. We are already counting down to our next visit in a few months. What are you waiting for? This VRBO does not disappoint!

Our Happy Place

We had another great vacation at the Cottage. There have been some great changes since last year. There is a new very comfy couch in the living room. There is a new TV in the master bedroom and the internet is much better than previous visits. There is also a new washer/dryer. There are also changes that are not visible like the new plumbing throughout the home. Lori and Dave are constantly improving the property and obviously strive to give their guests the best possible experience. It is so peaceful here. The Rivah room is such a magical place to watch the eagles, blue herons, and bluebirds as well as the crabbers, sailboats, sunrises, the stars, and the Potomac. Tropical Storm Ophelia came and lingered for several days during our stay. The dock at the Cottage stood strong and undamaged because Lori and Dave had their dock redone and raised a few years ago. The wind howled and it rained a lot but we were snug, warm, and happy in our nest. The crabbing and fishing this year were really great. We caught puppy drum, rockfish, sea trout, croakers, spot, and lots of crabs with the 2 provided traps. Lori is a great communicator and we kept in touch during our stay. Thank you so much for our special welcome and for sharing your home with us. This is truly our happy place to relax and get away from it all.

We originally purchased the home for weekend get a ways. The property offers wonderful views, big water fishing in a tranquil setting. You are not far from town if you would like to enjoy a meal out. The kitchen is fully stocked with kitchen equipment and there is a washer and dryer available. Should you want to bring your boat you may use the community dock to put in. We recommend you do not miss the beautiful sunsets and evening fishing is one of our favorite activities. We are pet friendly. We know our dogs love to swim in the river and there is access to a beach at the edge of the property. We do ask that you rinse your pet off prior to them coming in the house an cover the sofa's should they decide to make themselves comfortable on them.
