Unsatisfactory rental.

This condo is in dire need of renovation. Upon entering, the carpet on the stairs to the upstairs bedrooms is stained and dirty. This same carpet continues in the upstairs bedrooms and is also stained and dirty. There are stains on the couches in the living room and we had ants crawling on us. The washer and dryer are totally inadequate for this condo. The beds are not comfortable and the sheets do not fit them. The towels are thread bare and need to be replaced. The closet in the master bedroom has no door but the loud air handler is in there and points to the Head of the bed. The outdoor areas are basically not usable. The kitchen, however, was okay. This condo needs attention badly. Hopefully the owner will have a look himself. In over 10 years of rentals in this area, we have never stayed in a condo in this poor condition.

We were very disappointed with the state of the rental when we arrived. My daughter cleaned the floors and vacuumed the carpet and filled the bin on the vacuum. The carpet is in need of a shampoo as well. She wiped down walls that were very dirty and in need of fresh paint. The bedding and towels were worn with some stains. I feel for the money we shouldn’t have to clean first and things should be in better shape.

Wonderful beach getaway

We had a great vacation at Solana Beach! The amenities were great and we loved being right across the street from the beach. There were beach chairs, boogie boards and sand toys for us to enjoy.

OK-ish

We were so looking fwd: Solana Beach is our summer relaxation spot; one week when all the worries are gone for us; and, the accommodations contribute to the experience.This year, it did not help unfortunately. After a few mins since our arrival, we wanted to change the appt, due to the strong smell but couldn't. Pros: - location - prop manager very helpful and responsive - mattress I used was confy - wi-fi very good - I wanted to say "good price" but read the cons. Cons: - intense smell; had to leave windows and/or doors open 24 hours every day. - carpet "tired" and stained; it needs a very deep cleaning although a replace is more recomm. - white bath towels not all...white( although washed ) - all non-stick pans unusable; some are extremely scratched or even burnt - cooking set consists only of a 3 and a 8-qt pots that are usable; both stainless. I know the owners and prop mgr made efforts to offer a good experience, but they need to check the property from time to time and fix the issues that need fixing. For now, I don't plan to return here until the issues I mentioned are fixed.

Lovely condo, spacious, clean and really close to beaches and restaurants. Pickleball courts and pool were a hit with the kids. Excellent communication, we would absolutely stay again. Thank you.

Great family vacation

I stayed here with my husband, 74 year old father and 4 year old daughter and it was lovely. Having the grill and full kitchen was so helpful, plus 3 bathrooms and laundry were so convenient. Pretty quiet, and the pool closest to us was perfect. Not a pain at all to walk to the beach, and the backpack beach chairs provided were great.

Great location!

We had a good stay at this condo. The complex has a lot of amenities w/ multiple pools, hot tubs, tennis courts and direct beach access. We appreciated the boogie boards and beach gear. You can walk to many restaurants and shops. Short drive to just about anywhere in SoCal. The condo was good overall and we could stay here again. Just needs some updating to be a 5 star experience.

Wonderful location!

We stayed 7 days and enjoyed each one. The property is convenient to shops, restaurants and best of all the beach. Beautiful pools with ocean view as well. The condo needs an update terribly! A can of paint, new furniture and overall deep cleaning would go a long way.

Great spot

The heated pool was a plus as the weather wasn’t the warmest, was disappointed that our condo wasn’t cleaned when we arrived and had to go out while it was being done , it was a long day off travelling and was ready to relax . The only other thing was I think it’s time to have the carpets cleaned, and maybe some fresh paint on walls other than that it was great

Solana Beach Stay

We enjoyed the location of this property. It is an easy walk to the ocean, and close to great restaurants in Delmar. We loved the heated pool and hot tub as we visited in early November. The condo itself was well equipped and great for our family. The condo was "clean" but it could of used a deep clean. The carpets need work, the area around light switches and corners need cleaning etc.

Location is great - walking distanct to coffee, dining, shopping and easy access right off the 101. Our unit was not on the beach side of the street, so the view was lacking but easy to cross street to the ocean. Well equipped for children

The rental was well equipped for our 3 children (0-5) with plenty of space for our family. We drove to various places in and around San Diego every day and enjoyed the stay - I would recommend having a car if staying here. The pools were pleasant and always quiet.

Great Space and Location

This condo was one block from the beach, restaurants, racetrack/Del Mar Fair/gyms/etc. It was great to have access to multiple pools and beach gear as well. The condo itself is very comfortable for a family of 5 and was well stocked and clean.

Home away from home

This home was spacious and had everything we needed for our young family. We had all the supplies we needed . We enjoyed the heated pool ,pools over looking the ocean and all amenities like sauna and gym. The grounds were safe, and had a cornucopia of flowers that lit up the pathway to our “home”. The ac was life saver. Warren was available every time we had a question. We will be back !!!

Ok condo but terrible beach location

Overall the condo was as pictured and was VERY clean but we were extremely disappointed with the location. This complex is located right next to the Del Mar Beach Dog Park. My 2 year old had his snack taken right out of his hand by a large dog the first day & we never went back to it after that. We ended up driving to other beach accesses every day so that we could enjoy our time without being constantly bombarded by dogs. If you’re traveling with little kids I’d highly recommend staying closer to Moonlight beach in Encinitas. We loved that one!

Loved it!!!

This is my first time renting a condo and this was fantastic! Awesome location, spacious, clean and our kids LOVED the pool and the beach! Easy ride to so many fun things to do and a mile from Vons, an amazing grocery store. We totally enjoyed the chairs, boogie boards and umbrella although a few of the boogie boards were broken.

Just an “okay” property

The thing that bugs me the most about this listing is that the photos you see are mainly of the beach club across the street. You have zero oceans views and it is WAY more than “150 steps to the beach”. Parents- if you have small kids, be prepared to haul stuff across the street and down several flights of stairs to get to the beach. The entire property seemed to be under a lot of construction which wasn’t aesthetically pleasing. The pool on our side was very dirty and freezing. Other side across the street was heated and much nicer. A couple pros- nice big master bedroom, nice set up for living room and kitchen, overall very clean. Had to basically beg for toilet paper restock and still never got it. Feel like for the price we paid, we could have had a house that was way more kid friendly.

Beach home away from crowds

We enjoyed our stay very much. The home is in a private compound a short leisure walk from the beach. The owner makes all the beach toys available to the occupants. It was home away from home. My daughter was a little early on her way from Phoenix and the owner was available to answer the phone and gracious to let her check in early. Thank you, Warren

Excellent location for outdoor activities

We took full advantage of the great location to swim, bike, run and kayak. Solana Beach is less crowded than many beaches in the San Diego area which we saw as a big plus during the pandemic. Although many restaurants were closed, we ordered some great takeout (Le Bambou, Himalayan Kitchen, Pizza Port) and cooked at home. We even baked a cake for our sons birthday. The condo had a nice layout with bedrooms upstairs and living/eating downstairs..
