Unser Haus in Bainbridge Island ist ein warmes und einladendes Reiseziel, das sich auf einem 2 Hektar großen Grundstück am Ufer eines niedrigen Ufers befindet, ein friedlicher, unterhaltsamer Ort für einen Rückzug der Familie. Wir sind 15 Minuten von der Innenstadt von Winslow und der Seattle Fähre, 30 Minuten von der Kingston / Edmunds Fähre. Sie und Ihre Familie können Bootsfahrten und Schwimmen in der Bucht, einen Sandkasten, Schaukeln und Spielhaus für die Kinder genießen. frische Eier, um täglich von unseren schönen und großzügigen :) Hühner, sowie Blaubeeren, Himbeeren, Brombeeren, Heidelbeeren und Äpfel, Birnen, Pfirsiche und asiatische Birnen zu sammeln, wenn in der Saison. In der Saison können Sie für kleine Nacken- oder Manila-Muscheln vom Dock graben. Wir haben Wälder zum Erkunden, ein Lagerfeuer zum Braten von Hot Dogs und S'mores. Mit Blick auf Fletcher Bay ist unser Deck mit einem Traeger Pellet BBQ und Holzkohlegrill für Ihren Gebrauch, zusammen mit einem Picknick-Tisch und Spaß Hängematte in der Nähe. Im Inneren finden Sie ein gemütliches Familienzimmer, eine voll ausgestattete Küche und einen extra großen Esstisch mit Blick auf die Bucht.

Der Raum
Unsere Küche ist komplett ausgestattet für die Zubereitung von Abendessen im Familienstil oder einfache Snacks. Gerne können Sie Gewürze und Gewürze in den gut sortierten Schränken und Schubladen verwenden. Pantry-Artikel sind ebenfalls verfügbar. Kaffee-Setup und Fixierungen werden für Ihren ersten Morgen zur Verfügung gestellt. Komfortables Familienzimmer mit Verbindung zum Essbereich. Der große, handgemachte Tisch bietet Platz für 8-10 Gäste.
Zwei Schlafzimmer haben Doppelbetten, das dritte Zimmer ist ein charmantes Kinderzimmer mit drei Einzelbetten. Beide Schlafzimmer im Obergeschoss haben Lofts groß genug für zusätzlichen Schlafplatz oder einfach nur einen Platz zum Spielen. Brandneue Matratzen auf allen Betten.
Wir haben einen kleinen, schwarzen Hund, Humong. In den warmen Sommermonaten liegt er oft auf dem Bürgersteig und genießt die Sonne. Er ist sehr sanft und beißt nicht, aber wenn er sich nicht sonnt, wird er bei den Besitzern sein. Kleine Kinder können auf den Schaukeln, Sandkasten, Baumhaus spielen. Jeder mag es, im Wald zu forschen oder die Seilschaukel zu benutzen.

Die Besitzer wohnen in benachbarten, aber separaten Quartieren. Wir stehen zur Verfügung, um Fragen zu beantworten oder zu beantworten, sind aber ansonsten nicht beteiligt.

Wonderful home on Bainbridge Island

My husband and I and two friends from the east coast stayed at the Fletcher Bay house for three nights. The house is impeccably clean, comfortable, and equipped with everything needed for a great vacation getaway. Mary and Bill have perfected the art of being available when needed and invisible at all other times, balancing guests' desire for privacy and occasional need for assistance. The fresh eggs each day, Mary's homebaked goodies and homemade jam were a real treat. Boating on the bay and the opportunity to observe the flow of the tides and the water birds were uplifting. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and hope to be back.

Great spot for a relaxing weekend

We had a lovely and relaxing weekend. Mary and Bill were super welcoming and it was wonderful to be able to borrow their boats and get out on the water. There was everything we could have needed in the house, including fresh eggs, homemade cookies and a variety of board games and toys for the kids to borrow. Thanks for having us!

Just like home!

Couldn't have asked for a better location for family gathering to celebrate the loss of a loved one. The homey atmosphere and beautiful scenery was very comforting and put all at ease. From books, music, chickens and swings everyone found something wonderful to do! Bill and Mary provided advise to help with event and also extra tables and chairs. Once I communicated the reason for our trip, what a special surprise to realize that our host had family ties! This resulted in an extra special time for us! Peaceful family retreat

A much loved, very homely family home where you can just kick off your shoes and relax and enjoy the beauty of nature and the views of the creek. Mary and Bill were great hosts and made us feel so welcome. They live in a separate part of the house and, although very discreet, they are conveniently available to assist with any queries as the need may arise. Bainbridge is a gorgeous island but you do need a car to get around.

The Greatest VRBO

Our stay at Mary & Bill's was the nicest of any VRBO's we've rented. The house was wonderful. Clean, spacious, well stocked and totally comfortable. Our hosts were fantastic. They supplied us with fresh eggs from their own chickens, baked us pastries and bread, lent my son in law a belt (he forgot his). Everything about our stay was way beyond any expectations we could have had. Hope to visit again. This experience was a stand out.

Wonderful hosts!!!

The property was great! A beautiful home and Mary was such a great host - from homemade cookies and homemade bread when we arrived to fresh eggs from their hens! Truly a gem! Also, Mary was gracious enough to allow us to stay after the normal checkout, especially when we had to hunt through baggage to try to locate one of the guests wallet! Thankfully Mary was super accommodating and was so helpful! My only regret is that we weren't able to spend enough quality time at the property since we were so busy with our son's wedding! Hopefully we will be back and can just relax at this beautiful property!

Wonderful waterfront home perfect for families and children

Mary & Bill gave us such a warm welcome to their waterfront family home, including a plate of homebaked cookies :-) This property is perfect for anyone looking for a relaxing location which includes access to the water, and the chance to get out on it with canoes, rowboat or sailboat. For anyone travelling with children (we visited with a 5 month and 3 year old) this place is really ideal. Mary & Bill's home is full of special little goodies for kids including plenty of toys and games, play kitchen, outdoor play stuff, great selection of childrens books etc. Our son also loved seeing the deer visiting the big garden while he went down on his daily hunt for fresh eggs from the chickens. We're already looking forward to our next visit!

We want to go back!

Our family of four with two little ones absolutely loved our stay! Firstly, the house has everything you need and then some. If you are traveling with kids, trust me when I say they’ll be entertained both inside and outside the house. The side is good. Lots of tv options (Netflix , prime etc) The outside is stunning and the tide river provides hours of excitement for the kids. It’s an east drive to local towns, and the grand forest. It’s a fast ferry into Seattle. But the piece de resistence are the hosts. Mary and Bill think of every detail and go out of their way to go above and beyond. The truly are wonderful people. We look forward to going back and hopefully making it a annual visit.

Amazing place for family vacation

This is an amazing place for a family retreat or extended vacation. We spent two weeks canoeing, spotting wildlife and swimming off the dock, feeding the chickens, playing on the playground, having meals outside, running around the grounds and through the sprinklers. Mary and Bill are wonderful hosts, very communicative, and extra generous with their guests. Everything in the house has been built and set up with thought and care, especially for kids (we have two, but this place could accommodate more). One note on swimming: when the tide goes out, the bay is almost entirely mud flats in this part of the bay, difficult to walk on, so swimming only possible at high tide and when the water is free of the kind of crud that tides can bring in. Covid-19 note: very easy to distance with the hosts on the large grounds outside. All around a fantastic, very relaxing stay, highly recommended, I'm sure we'll be back for more!

Relaxing and fun step back in time - great family vacation spot!

We chose this home for our vacation because we wanted to be on the water, and this house allowed us to use their boats with a signed waiver. It was just what we had hoped for! They have small dock on an inlet off of Fletcher Bay so at high tide you can paddle out to the Bay and see all of the wildlife and beauty. The house is also very comfortable. It's not fancy, but it is clean with a big open living room kitchen area. They have a large collection of vinyl records and movies. We loved playing the old records while eating dinner or just hanging out on the patio. They also have a campfire ring all set up with plenty of wood. It was so nice to end each day with a fire just steps from the front door. Our teens even loved the big rope swing out front. Whenever we couldn't find them that's where they were. Mary and Bill are great hosts, and they stay in a separate part of the house even when you are there. It turned out to be great so they could show the kids how to collect eggs from their chicken coop, setup the boats and give advice on things to do on the island. When we arrived we had a plate of homemade cookies, masks and fresh eggs waiting for us! The kitchen is large and has most of what you need, but everything is a little older. Only a few pans and none are non-stick, but defintely good for a basic meal. They also invite you to borrow from their large cupboard for things like plastic wrap, foil, etc...which is helpful. We would definitely stay here again, and we recommend it for any adventurous family.

Great location, very nice owners.

This home has a trail down to the water with a dock and boats that we all enjoyed. Mary and Bill are great hosts who live in a separate part of the house, but are aware of their guests privacy. Our grandkids loved all the toys and activities made available.

Great location

My daughter, husband and three children stayed here mid August, 2020. The house is large and easily accommodated this family of five. The kids, including two cousins had a great time with all of the toys in the cupboards. The setting is perfect and we had many meals outside at the picnic table. The rope swing was a big hit. The kids loved to get eggs from the chickens and watch them walk around when Bill let them out of their cage. We picked blueberries and peaches. Bill and Mary were great hosts and always checked with us to make sure we had everything we needed. I high,y recommend this VRBO.

An absolutely wonderful stay.

My family stayed at Mary and Bill’s house for a week in August. The house was just wonderful. Actually, it’s there home and we are so grateful that they let us borrow it for a week. It was perfect for us with two kids (5 & 8), and some friends who came with their baby. Mary and Bill were delightful hosts. We can’t wait to come back again next summer!

Amazing !!!!

I highly recommend this home for anyone looking to relax or with children. The home is right on the water and there is so much to do and explore nearby. It's a quick ten minute drive to downtown Bainbridge or Lenwood Center. The owners are so incredibly sweet and greeted us with homemade cookies. They also allowed the children to meet and feed their chickens and gave us fresh eggs to make for breakfast. The home has so much for kids to do, like the playset and rowboat. We had a great time and highly recommend this home!!!!

It was finished and we moved in on January 1, 1988. . Our kids have now all flown the coop, and rather than have this wonderful home fall into a deep sleep , we realized we could keep the party going by offering it as a rental through VRBO, and invite other families to share the magic and joy our family has enjoyed through these last 30 years..
