Dieses bezaubernde Ferienhaus für 6/7 Personen verfügt über 3 Schlafzimmer, von denen eines mit einem Fernseher mit Play Station 2 mit Spielen für jedes Alter und einem DVD-Player für Kinder ausgestattet ist, sowie 3 Badezimmer mit Duschen und einem WC Maximale Privatsphäre, amerikanische Einbauküche und ein Wohnzimmer, alle in einem gepflegten und gemütlichen Dekor, und obwohl im Stadtzentrum mit allen Geschäften, finden Sie einen ruhigen und beruhigenden Ort. Alle Fenster der Zimmer sind nach Süden ausgerichtet und haben keinen Blick auf eine Straße. Sie werden die Nachbarn für ein paar Tage des letzten Hauses von Leonardo da Vinci "Le Clos Lucé" sein, wo er oft den Besuch seines Freundes, König François 1er, erhielt . Die Gite befindet sich in der meistbesuchten Straße von Amboise (meistens Fußgängerzone) und verbindet Clos Lucé mit dem Schloss. Auf dem Weg dorthin können Sie die heute noch bewohnten Höhlenhäuser besichtigen. Sie können auch Wanderwege, die am Fuße des Hauses verlaufen, sowie die Loire-à-Vélo-Route nehmen. Amboise ist der zentrale Punkt für den Besuch der Loire-Schlösser: Chenonceaux, Chambord, Cheverny, Blois, Chaumont und seine herrlichen Gärten, Ussé (Dornröschenschloss) und viele mehr ... Zu entdecken!
Sie können auch mit Tourangelles-Spezialitäten in einem der vielen Restaurants der Stadt speisen, die nur 5 Gehminuten von der Unterkunft entfernt liegen, und so in Ruhe die Loire-Weine genießen, die in unserer Region hergestellt werden. We absolutely loved staying at Alexandra’s house in Amboise. The location, ambience, highend finishings and a 20 minute walk from the train station: all was well, even with a construction project down the road toward the Chateau Royal. I’ll say it again: we absolutely loved our stay in Amboise—unfortunately not for anyone with mobility issues

Perfect Location and Layout

We absolutely loved our stay at this Amboise home! Steps away from Leonardo da Vinci's chateau, easy walking distance to center city, and separate bedrooms and baths for all of our family all made our stay easy and relaxing. Our hosts were so attentive and helpful. We would absolutely stay here again!

Privacy for 3 couples, comfort and location

We thought this place was much more charming in person than in photos! We loved the uniqueness of this property which was on different levels. Each of the 3 bedrooms had its own bathroom which is impossible to find in France. Walked a few minutes to town which is super close and it’s right next to chateau de clos Lucé. Great place to explore in and around Amboise.

One of the BEST places our family has stayed! The owner is so kind. The house is decorated with thoughtfulness. We were there during Easter time and she decorated it for the Easter season! Wonderful location. Can’t recommend enough!!

Lovely home in a great location

Our family of four + dog loved our stay in this lovely, quirky and homely townhouse in an ideal location for exploring all that Amboise has to offer. The layout of the house and particularly the three bathrooms was perfect for us and our teenagers. The hostess was very quick to respond to our queries and the check-in process could not have been easier. We hope to return.

Lovely rental and ideal location

This is such a sweet rental! It was clean, quite, comfortable bedding and showers, and had some lovely touches in decorating. The owner was very responsive. The location is a short walk to dining, shopping, grocery, and monuments. As long as your party is comfortable with stairs, I highly recommend this wonderful home.

Room for all!

We had 3 couples traveling and all of us had plenty of private space as well communal gathering. We ate wonderful breakfasts in, before setting out in our car (close car park was very easy), for the conveniently located sites. Then, always a pleasure to return to, before walking to one of the numerous, great restaurants! This place is for active people who don't mind stairs, we found it perfect!

Roomy and quiet apartment is just steps from fabulous Clos de Luce, and minutes away from the bustling area of Amboise, lots of restaurants, grocery, services. Apartment has lots of charm, very quiet, comfy. Better outfitted than most VRBO in France, has everything you need! Not much public transport, so do be prepared to walk if you don't have a car. Taxis hard to get, Uber nonexistent. Train station is about 1.25 mi away. But getting around Loire area is easy by train once you get there. Be sure to catch the Friday/Sunday market! No

Great location & venue!

Communications with host are easy and excellent - very accomodating! Location is ideal for easy walking access, whether to the chateau or to Clos du Luce. Guests must be comfortable with negotiating stairs, but is in every other way an excellent venue. It has a very functional kitchen, of which we made good use. It, and Amboise in general, is a great base for exploring the Loire Valley.

Excellent choice for visiting the Loire

This is an excellent value and nice property to use as a base for visiting the Loire Valley. The house is on a beautiful street in Amboise with easy parking. Plenty of room with nice amenities. Three bathrooms were awesome. Air conditioners were available in the bedrooms. This was a nice surprise. There was no problem with heat or sleeping at night. This rental is a great value and highly recommended.

Great Gite Next Door to Leonardo da Vinci's House

Beautiful and functional renovation of a 19th century house. Superb location in Ambroise. Walk to everything. House very well appointed with 3 bedrooms and 3 full baths. We appreciated the new washer and dryer and the large size refrigerator. Dead quiet for sleeping, especially in the downstairs bedrooms. Really there were no problems at all during our stay and Alexandra was very responsive to all inquiries. Very much recommended.

Unique house very convenient to Amboise sights

It's a unique house with 2 downstairs bedrooms/2 baths, one upstairs bedroom and bath. It has a washer and dryer, plus dishwasher, which is great! Alex met us to show us everything. Beds are comfy. The location is walkable to almost everything in the beautiful town of Amboise! We saw fireworks on the river for Bastille Day, restaurants, chateaus, and gardens are nearby. It is next to Le Clos Luce, where Leonardo da Vinci spent his last years, and the garden there is beautiful and full of his inventions. The free parking space is very convenient! Alex is very responsive to questions, and when we texted her our arrival, she met us. It would be hard for someone with mobility difficulty, due to the stairs and layout.

Cosy stay in rainy Loire

We spent 6 nights in Amboise as part of a 2 week Loire Valley trip, where the weather, at the end of Sept/early October, was consistently rainy and chilly. It is a great base for seeing lots of chateaux. The pros - it is in a quiet location a short walk up from the main town and convenient for seeing Amboise’s sites. The heating worked well, important given how damp and rainy it was. There is a washer and dryer - great for longer stays. Alexandra was easy to reach and very friendly. Beware - the town of Amboise is doing major road construction, and the street where the house is located will be inaccessible to cars for months, making getting luggage in and out of the house a challenge. Alexandra can give options. The house is ancient, but has been modernized and fitted out to meet holiday needs. There were two of us - and we used the upstairs bedroom and bathroom, which were cosy. There was good lighting and lots of cupboard space. The living room was compact but fine for us. The kitchen has all the usual equipment you need to prepare your own meals. The other bedrooms/bathrooms are downstairs from the street level, with windows on the back of the lower part of the house. There were lots of steps up and down to access.them. Make sure to pick up supplies before you arrive - apart from coffee and basic condiments. Within a 10 minute walk there is a small grocery as well as a wonderful bakery and many restaurants.

Absolutely perfect!

What a great place! Our family of four (parents, two young adults), spent three nights here. So nice to each have our own space. The house is literally steps away from Clos Luce, so there are people walking by all day long. It can be a little disconcerting, but really wasn't a problem. The owner, Alexandra, was extremely friendly and nice. My son knocked over one of the little cloches on the stand where she put chocolates for us and I was anxious about telling her, but she just laughed it off and said not to worry. Two things I was surprised the place didn't have: one, keyless entry. As we were in France already, it wasn't so simple to correspond with the owner to arrange a meeting time. All other VRBOs I've stayed in have a keypad and the code changes with each visitor. Two, a master guide book to the property. For example, we were desperate to do laundry, but had no idea how to work the machine. Or where to put garbage and recycling. And a pen to go with the comment book, as none of us had one.... I highly, highly recommend this home, and Amboise!

Très bon emplacement

La maison est très bien située dans Amboise et calme. Les chambres sont au-dessus et en-dessous de la pièce de vie ce qui donne de l'indépendance à chacun.

Nous avons été enchantés de notre séjour. La maison correspondait parfaitement à nos attentes. Une belle rénovation. Elle est idéalement située. Accès à pied à Amboise, au clos Lucé et au château Gaillard. Nous recommandons !
