Great stay

Everything was as stated. Monica stayed in touch to be sure things were going well after our arrival and the night before we left. Of the homes we have stayed at this was our favorite. We paid for heated pool and the last night we were there it was in the 50s but my granddaughters played in the pool all evening.

We enjoyed the home. The owner was very accommodating and checked in on us through text message. I only needed to reach out to her once on the day of arrival, she quickly replied. The home is very spacious, the bedrooms are nice size and the kitchen is truly stocked. I would highly recommend this property to families, couples or groups.

Adult Family Vacation

Everything was excellent. All the information for the house was sent several days in advance. Giving me time to make sure we had everything we needed. Monica checked in to make sure everything was ok. She answered any questions and sent all the check-out information again before we left. We paid for the heat and the pool and hot tub was great! Everything was clean and the kitchen well stocked for cooking anything.

The property and the owner were great. Any questions we had were answered quickly. The house was clean when we got there and the pool and spa were perfect. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need. Will stay here again.

Thank you for a lovely stay. Villa was as described. Monica was super efficient in responding to any queries, which were resolved quickly. Some areas could do with a little update and further cleaning. Despite this, we had a great few weeks in a lovely quiet and safe residential area. Thanks again Monica!

Very pleased with "The Shire" Home

"The Shire" was a wonderful home away from home for our 10 day Florida family vacation during March 2024. The home was spacious, comfortable and had all the amenities that we needed. The house is located in a beautiful, quiet gated community. Communication with our host Monica was excellent and she was very responsive. We would definitely stay again.

Fantastic vacation home

This property was an ideal location for our get away. It was close enough to everything that we wanted to see and do yet quiet and secluded. Family tile at the Shire

Awesome property. My family had a great time and enjoyed the house. Pool and hot tub was wonderful and very relaxing. Communication with Monica was easy as we forgot a few things at the house and she was wonderful in helping us to get our items back. I hope we can stay here when we visit Florida again next year.

I honestly wish I could give this property more than 5 stars! The pictures of this house do not even do it justice. It is absolutely beautiful and very spacious. Beautiful home / Great location

Beautifully decorated home - very roomy. Great location - short drive to Orlando attractions. Close enough for day trips to Tampa / St Pete / Clearwater beaches - which we did. The house layout allows for bedrooms with personal space and large kitchen and dining room was great for family dinners. Monica, the owner, was very helpful and responded quickly to the few questions we had. We would stay again and highly recommend this home for families / couples visiting the Orlando area.

Perfect relaxing stay for the holidays

Our family was looking for someplace convenient to things to see and do in Orlando, but we wanted a quiet neighborhood to get away from the noise when we wanted to. This place was perfect! The gated neighborhood meant we didn't see hardly any cars coming by the house, and we had a great time relaxing in the heated pool and hot tub while looking over the natural area in the backyard. The house had lots of space for our family & we loved the open floorplan for casual dining and watching TV etc. The workspace was a nice touch and wifi was super fast, very much appreciated as we needed to do some work while away from home. Home was very clean and our host was super responsive with any questions. Overall awesome stay!

Monica is an actor, voice teacher and professional organizer who lives in Chicago. She and her family (parents, brother and husband) saved their pennies to buy this beautiful vacation home to escape the subzero Chicago winters. While new to HomeAway, Monica is a former Disney cast member - so hospitality is in her blood. She has also been a landlord for almost 10 years. She loves Harry Potter, Star Wars, Game of Thrones, Batman, swimming, roller coasters and good ole fashioned game nights! She hopes you will enjoy staying at the Shire as much as she does.

We loved how spacious, relaxing and convenient this property was. The pool is very private and has a gorgeous view of a wooded conservation area. Complex tennis and volleyball courts are just down the block and the gated community provides a quiet escape with close proximity to the local theme parks - about 20 minutes to Disney.
