Beautiful, clean and comfortable

We were in the area to tour Normandy museums and WW2 sights. The castle was located in the center of everything which made for very easy day trip. Our hostess was very kind and gave us a nice tour of the property and shared history of the area. Over all the property was fresh, very clean and well maintained and surprisingly high quality linens, beds and pillows. Highly recommend!!

Delightful and Convenient

Lovely property out in the quiet country but just 10 minutes from Bayeux. Spacious and well-equipped, with so many interesting and authentic details. Gorgeous sunrises! A welcoming and knowledgeable host who loves her property and the surrounding area. We loved staying here!

Wonderful Location and Fabolous Property

I was visiting this part of France with my wife, mother and mother in law, we had a really enjoyable stay and would thoroughly recommend it as an ideal location for anybody visiting the area. The host had a wealth of information on Normandy and we found the accommodation relaxing and exquisitely furnished and decorated.

Gorgeous orangerie next to ancient chateau

We can't speak highly enough about our stay! Hosts Claudia and Michel were so welcoming, the bedrooms are luxurious, the living and dining area huge, and everything spotless. Add the lovely surroundings and beautiful nearby village and you have the perfect vacation home.

Beauty inside and out

Located just a short distance from Bayeaux in the countryside. The setting is beautiful and the unit is clean and comfortable. The owner is charming. I would highly recommend. We used it as a base to travel the sites of Normandy.

We were delighted by the property. It was close to Bayeux and all it has to offer, yet located in such a way as to get to Mont St. Michel and Normandy easily. The property itself is beautiful and the owner was so helpful with dining and sightseeing ideas. I would highly recommend it and would stay there again.

Magical French Countryside

Beautiful and spacious 3 bedroom chateau in a green and lush setting. Easy drive from Rouen - our jumping off point - and then to the Normandy beaches. We drove as far as Mont St Michel - easy day drive. Great beds and helpful, friendly hosts. Thoroughly enjoyed our 4-night stay.

Wonderful apartment in chateau

Beautiful private apartment in a separate wing of Chateau in lovely rural setting about 15 minute drive from Bayeux town center. Husband and wife hosts were very welcoming. If you’re looking for a nice quiet place away from the hustle and bustle of town, this is perfect!

Lovingly restored and decorated historical orangerie

Our family of 7 including a baby and small dog were warmly greeted by Claudia and Michel and shown around our lovely accommodations. Claudia even gave me some pasta to cook for our dinner when jet lag made us forget to buy some at the market! And we were touched by the bottle of chilled champagne given to us on our arrival. They were always available to answer our questions and give us recommendations on restaurants, shopping and sightseeing. The location is well situated to visit Bayeux and the D-Day sites. The home was beautiful and comfortable and we feel we now have friends in Normandy!

Serene setting outside Bayeaux

4 of us adults thoroughly enjoyed our 4 nights at The Conde Castle and Claudia and Michel were excellent hosts. We were greeted by each of them and shown around the property, which is perfectly serene and quiet. Every morning we walked on the country roads and enjoyed the peace and quiet of the beautiful farms. The place was well stocked with kitchen items and the bedrooms very comfortable. Great location for access to D-day sites and easy drive to town for supplies or dinner. Perfect for 2 couples.

Tranquil Elegance

A cold January weekend but a warm and welcoming house! Many before have been delighted with Claudia's hospitality. It must be superb in summer with the doors open to the terrace and the long views down the garden. We are rather demanding guests and we loved it. (Mobile connectivity is variable inside the house.)

Fabulous Stay

We visited in early June, the purpose of our visit was to see the D Day beaches. The accommodation was perfect, lovely and bright, well equipped in a quiet spot, a short drive from Bayeux. Lots of hot water, comfy beds, very clean and airy. Claudia was very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay when needed. Great accommodation for 2 couples as we had our own facilities, one room with bath/shower, the other with shower. The setting was idyllic with the beautiful lake. The position for visiting WWll museums, beaches and memorials was absolutely ideal. Would thoroughly recommend. Thank you Claudia.

Pastoral setting in rural France.

We spent 5 nights in this lovely setting in order to explore Normandy, Mont Saint Michel, & Rouen. The apartment had limited amenities, but was comfortable for two couples. The laundry facility is adjacent to the apartment, & shared with the other apartment. The location is 10 minutes outside of Bayeux. Claudia is a responsive & welcoming host. We gained a whole new appreciation for the French countryside!

Wonderful stay

The property was exactly as described. It was quiet, comfortable and very spacious. Our host was lovely and checked in on us to make sure everything was OK. We were in a large and modern wing attached to a stately home in which she lives. Our party needed all three bedrooms which were well-appointed, welcoming and comfortable. It was perfect for a lazy start in the morning, relaxing with breakfast outside the back of the property in front of the lawn and pond, facing the rising sun. Just heavenly. There were excellent laundry facilities and we were glad to be able to freshen our clothes on the penultimate day of our stay. In terms of location, it was perfect for us as we made day trips all over Normandy and even into Brittany. The road system was excellent and navigation was easy.

Great Normandy Base

Beautiful spot to serve as a base for Normandy. We had four adults and 2 children - plenty of room, comfortable beds, lovely gardens. Easy 5-10 minute drive to Bayeux and another 20 or so to the D-day beaches. We took a day trip to Mont Saint-Michel which was very worth the one hour each way. Somewhat tricky to find the location (it is too rural for google maps etc) but the hostess Claudia will email excellent directions. Would definitely return and hope to do so one day. If you are looking for a well located, private, roomy place to stay from which you can explore Normandy this is in an outstanding option.

Magnificent

If you want to relax, and enjoy open spaces. This is the place to be. Claudia was an amazing host, they made our stay incredible. They also went the extra mile to help us with our lost baggage. The home is on two levels, and very private. The kitchen has everything you might need. The interior was in a classic French style, which we really loved. I will highly recommend this property to anyone. We hope to come back there again. If I could give it stars, I would give it 11 out of 10.

Friends exploring Normandy

We are three old college friends off to explore Normandy and more. As we drove into their estate Claudia came out to greet us. Being both gracious and fun, she is easily available to answer questions. Michel stopped in the following morning to greet us as well. The apartment is even lovelier in person. The extended height of the living room ceiling gives the area an open expansive feel. Step out onto the patio where your eyes scan over a pond to open fields and hillsides far beyond. After a day or evening exploring the area it is so relaxing to return here. Highly recommend staying here. Thank you Claudia and Michel, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
