Rüschen Cottage ist ein gemütliches, komfortables Landhaus im Herzen der schönen mittelalterlichen Dorf Dunster festlegen. Das Ferienhaus wurde 1844 gebaut und verfügt über alle & lsquo; modernen Komfort "ohne dabei seinen traditionellen Charakter, komplett mit einem Holzofen. Das Anwesen bietet Platz für bis zu 4 Personen in zwei Schlafzimmer, ein Doppel und ein Zweibettzimmer, hat ein Bad im Obergeschoss und einen kleinen Hof zu der Rückseite des Hauses mit Gartenmöbeln. Auch für die Nutzung ist ein Gemeinschaftsgarten, der ein paar Häuser weiter ist.

Not quite as good as expected.
Great location. Well equipped cottage, but not as cosy and comfortable as we expected. We felt it was a little under maintained and tired. In need of some TLC. Although the kitchen was well equipped, many thing’s didn’t match, some of the pans and crockery needed replacing. Very dark and drab.

One thing to bear in mind is that you are very close to the church. The bells of the church are quite loud and go on through the night. We don't mind this but some people may have an issue with this. The cottage is so warm and cosy and having a small back yard would help with the Summer months as you could keep the back door open for a nice breeze.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in authentic nineteenth century Ruffles Cottage. It is in a very quiet side street with wonderful views over the churchyard from the rear bedroom, a perfect location if you enjoy the sound of church bells. Wonderful walks and everything Dunster has to offer is right on the doorstep. Although there is no assigned parking, we had no problems finding a space within 1 mins walk in spite of it being school summer holidays. Rear courtyard is cosy but a lovely spot to sit for breakfast. Having the adjacent secure storage for our two bikes and tow bar rack was really handy. Thank you.

Dunster is a bustling village comprised of several restaurants, pubs and tea rooms, plus a varied range of independent shops. Many of the shops in Dunster are open during traditional hours of 9 am to 5 pm, although hours are often extended during the summer season. Conversely, some shops may also reduce their opening days and/or hours out-of-season.

There is a tourist information centre in Dunster, just beside Dunster Steep near the public car park at the far end of the village from Ruffles Cottage.

Minehead is the nearest town, approximately 1.5 miles from Dunster. Here you will find the larger supermarkets and petrol stations (Tesco and Morrison's are both situated on the outskirts of the town and have long opening hours), most major high street banks with cash machines, plus a range of other shops throughout the town.
