Echo Place hat über 1.580 SF Wohnfläche mit vielen umliegenden Veranden und Decks. Ein Schlafzimmer und ein Bad auf jeder der drei Ebenen machen die ideale Einrichtung für Privatsphäre, wenn mehr als ein Paar / Familie zum Spaß in den Smokies zusammenkommen. Platz für bis zu sechs (6) Erwachsene und drei (3) Kinder bequem. Viele gut beleuchtete Parkplätze für mindestens 4 Fahrzeuge. Null Schritte zur Hauptebene!

Die Haupt Etage verfügt über ein Schlafzimmer mit Kingsize-Bett und Etagenbetten für Kinder / Jugendliche, HDTV und DVD-Player. Das Badezimmer wird mit dem Hauptwohnbereich geteilt. Offene Küche / Ess- / Wohnzimmer mit HDTV / DVD-Player und Bluetooth-Surround-Sound zum Streamen Ihrer eigenen Musik. Ein riesiger Steinkamin, hohe Decken, viele Glas- / Fenstertüren zu den Decks und dem Wald lassen diesen Raum riesig erscheinen. Die Decksfläche von der Hauptebene umfasst eine große überdachte Veranda mit Picknicktisch, offene Terrasse mit Adirondack Stühlen und eine Bar mit Sitzgelegenheiten, um die Aussicht und Bergluft zu genießen. Auch ein Half-Court-Shuffleboard vom Parkplatz sorgt für tollen Outdoor-Spaß. Das Wanderzentrum befindet sich am Eingang mit 3 Wanderstöcken, einem Fernglas und einem Rucksack voller Notfallgegenstände.

The Loft Level verfügt über ein Queen-Bett mit Kind Schlafbereich, eigenem Bad und Französisch Türen zu einem schönen Balkon und Sitzecke. HDTV mit DVD-Player.

Die Lower-Etage verfügt über ein drittes Schlafzimmer mit Kingsize-Bett, HD-TV und DVD-Player, Waschküche im UT-Stil und einen Aufenthaltsraum. Das Badezimmer wird zwischen dem Wohn- und Schlafzimmer geteilt. Zur Freizeitgestaltung gehören ein wunderschöner handgefertigter Shuffleboard-Tisch, ein Kickertisch und ein 3-in-1-Pool / Poker / Spieltisch. Komfortable Sektion zum Betrachten von Filmen auf dem großen Surround-Sound-HDTV mit Bluetooth-Theater. Viele Filme und Spiele zur Verfügung gestellt sowie mehrere Brettspiele.
Aus dem Rec-Raum ist eine geschlossene Veranda mit einem sprudelnden Whirlpool und bequemen Sitzgelegenheiten, um in der Nacht zu nehmen. Ein Grillbereich ist gerade draußen (bringen Sie Ihre eigene Holzkohle).

Nice Gatlinburg home- close to downtown!

Our family of 4 spent 4 nights here. This is our second family trip to the area but we stayed in Sevierville last year. We didnt see any bears.Pros: 3 comfortable beds (and a bunk bed) 3 bath. Great Hot tub. Deck with a view (Mostly woods and neighbors). Clean (a few cobwebs downstairs but nothing terrible). Comfortable. Homey. Close to downtown Gatlinburg. Wifi. Roku. Easy parking right in front of home. Foosball, air hockey, shuffle board table, & poker table available. Cons: Steep road to cabin (freaked me out). Lower and upper decks and adirondack chairs could use a good power washing.Bring coffee, creamer, sugar. Bring laundry soap. Bring beach towels (for hot tub). If you want paper plates bring them but kitchen is stocked with plates, silverware, pots and pans. Hot Tub is downstairs- as long as everyone can walk up & down stairs everything will be fine.Overall loved the place but wouldn't stay here again only because of the steep road to the cabin. I'm from Michigan (a flatlander) and it's simply not my thing. The road is probably not bad to anyone from here- but I am not and it was our first time staying in Gatlinburg. I purposely avoided listings where reviews indicated steep roads but this one didn't so I'm just giving my personal opinion on that! I now understand if you're staying anywhere in Gatlinburg that's not downtown you're going UP! So much to do for everyone close by!!

Nice and cozy cabin

Cabin was nice and overall pretty clean. Very good location, only about 5 minutes from downtown Gatlinburg. Some updates could be done to make it a little better but overall it was a good cabin!

Mountain Getaway

Thanks to all of the space and amenities in this house, the only time we left was to go skiing at Ober, which was incredibly close. We have gone on many trips over all the country, this was by far the best experience we have had and are looking forward to returning with our whole gang!

Mountain stay but close to town

We rented this and met my parents there for the holiday. Location was great. Less than 5 min drive to Ober or to the Gatlinburg strip. There was a total of 6 people. This house fit our needs perfectly. 3 levels and each level has a bedroom and bathroom. All 3 showers had pretty decent water pressure (this is a must for ladies). House was equipped enough for us to cook a few meals there. Has a full size washer/dryer thats available to use. Hot tub is in a screened in area off the bottom level. We were there for just over 1 hour and were in the hot tub area when we saw a bear come walking down the stairs from the upper deck. He walked about 3-5 ft away from us. That was the only bear sighting we had but with it being so cold, our outdoor time was limited. Jay and Susan were fantastic hosts. Quick to respond to emails. Hope to stay here again. Tip: bring extra pillowsPro tip: take directions from Jay and ignore your GPS. The gps will take you over the treacherous mountain roads at night and you will arrive on a wing and a prayer. Jay’s directions take you through Gatlinburg and a straight shot up to the cabin. Even gridlocked traffic will be better than the GPS directions. Trust me.

Daily bear activity!

The house was all that we needed. Plenty of room for the 4 of us. The hot tub was wonderful after hiking all day! Parking was easy. The host was very responsive with answers to questions. It was dated & could use new carpet & brighter paint. But, the bear activity was exciting! We enjoyed watching the bears daily! We would definitely rent this house again!

Wonderful family cabin

This was a great cabin for a family. We had a total of 6 adults, 3 kids under 4yo, and 1 baby. It accommodated all of us very well. If you want to see bears, this is the place! We saw bears all three days we were there. We will definitely book again.

Needs a good cleaning, simple maintenance, and updated.

We don't believe the cabin was cleaned before we arrived. We had to clean and kill a bunch of ants that were crawling all over the living room. Upon lifting the rug we found old food that looked to be swept under there. We had a water leak that had to be repaired our first day there and had no air conditioning for most of the week until someone came to repair it, which I believe was on Thursday. There is not one comfortable seat in the living area so I think it's time for some updating. I am not trying to get a free vacation as another reviewer was accused of trying. We were very disappointed in renting the cabin for our stay and would never make the same mistake twice. Back in the day it would have been ideal but in the present day it is not.

Bear-Filled Stay in the Smoky Mountains

Our family vacation to Smoky Mountain National Park and Dollywood was made better by our rental home. It had ample space and many amenities, including a hot tub and access to a community pool. Although the bathrooms are a bit outdated and the bears are definitely smart enough to get into your car, we had a great time and would stay here again.

Zu Gast bei Jay Welborn

Jay is a retired Air Force officer and currently works as a contractor at Shaw AFB, SC. Jay went to Architecture school at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville where he and Susan fell in love with the Smoky Mountains area during weekend getaways. Susan owns a home daycare center and has provided childcare all over the world as the Air Force moved us from place to place to include Japan, Germany, and a myriad of stateside assignments. We have five children and the cabin has provided a wonderful place for our family gatherings.

We bought this cabin because it was so close to Gatlinburg and it was nestled in the woods just the way we wanted. Zero steps to main level, easy access drive, and plenty of parking. Winter mountain views and seeing the Ober Gatlinburg Tram is really cool. We've spent the last couple years remodeling and putting our special touch on the place. We've already had lots of memorable outings with friends and family in our home away from home.
