Besuchen Sie die örtlichen Weinkellereien / Brauereien, chartern Sie ein Rock-Fishing-Abenteuer mit lokalen Kapitänen, gehen Sie zum Antiquitätenladen, Hai-Zahn- und Fossilienjagd, erkunden Sie die historischen Sehenswürdigkeiten oder setzen Sie sich einfach auf die Couch / Deck, entspannen Sie sich und genießen Sie die erstaunlichste Bar am Wasser. ! Das Haus ist sehr gepflegt, mit einer voll ausgestatteten Küche, einem Wohnzimmer mit elektrischem Kamin, einem unteren Familienzimmer mit Tischkicker und drei geräumigen Schlafzimmern sowie drei separaten Badezimmern. Außerhalb verfügt über zwei Decks mit mehreren Sitzbereichen mit Blick auf den Fluss und einen neuen 6-Brenner-Gasgrill für BBQs. Bitte beachten Sie, dass von der Unterkunft kein direkter Zugang zum Wasser besteht. Das Rivah House ist jedoch weniger als 5 Minuten zu Fuß vom Gemeinschaftsstrand, dem Strand Sharks Tooth und eine kurze 5-minütige Fahrt vom Gemeinschaftsstrand am Lake Independence entfernt - ideal zum Kajakfahren, Angeln und Sonnenbaden. Der Gastgeber freut sich auf Besucher, die ihre Zeit hier genießen.

Another fantastic stay!

We absolutely love coming to the Rivah House—it’s a perfect home for a family trip! We love relaxing at the house and enjoying the perfect view of the Potomac from the second floor deck, and Shark Tooth Beach is a 5 minute walk down the street. Dale is a fantastic host who communicates well and makes check in/check out super easy. We always look forward to our trips here and can’t wait to come back!

Fantastic Stay

Our family had another fantastic stay at this wonderful house with an amazing view! It’s our favorite place to stay—it has the best water view with amazing sunsets and all kinds of birds, and it’s right down the street (5 minute walk) from Shark Tooth Beach, which is a wonderful location where our son can search for fossils and enjoy the water. The host/owner was very communicative and super helpful, and the house was clean with a perfect layout, and had everything we needed. We can’t wait to come back for another stay as soon as we can!

A great weekend

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and Dale was great at communicating about the property. The views are incredible and there is a nice beach within 5 minutes walk where my son and I enjoyed looking for shark teeth and other fossils. We would definitely return and recommend to others looking for a quiet escape by the water.

Great house - exactly as described !

The 'Rivah House' was exactly as described in the listing. It was very clean and nicely decorated. It had all the conveniences we could want including 3 full bathrooms. The beds were very comfortable and we all slept great! The river views are just gorgeous. This was a perfect get-away and Dale was very helpful and sent helpful information to us each day. Would highly recommend !

Loved Staying at Rivah House!

If you are planning a visit to the Northern Neck of Virginia, do yourself a favor and book Rivah House for your stay. It's a great place, and just a short drive to a lot of places to see and things to do. The views of the Potomac from the upper and lower levels were amazing. One evening we were even able to see the Milky Way when sitting out on the upper deck. The house was spotlessly clean, and well furnished/decorated with a beachy feel. The host was great; very responsive and focused on making sure you have everything you need to enjoy your stay.

Incredible River View

We really enjoyed our stay and Dale's hospitality. We stayed on a very cold and windy January weekend but still had a great time and enjoyed the relaxing view of the river. The kids had a great time exploring the house, playing hide and seek and foosball. The adults enjoyed short walks to the beach and lake. There is a playground nearby in Westmoreland State Park too. The house was very clean and had all the basic items and supplies we needed to enjoy our stay.

5 star stay!

We totally enjoyed our stay in Dales rivah house. The view was incredibly amazing! I felt like we in a boat on the water. Dales house was clean and he is detailed oriented. He thought of everything from a well stocked kitchen to games for the kids as well as clean bath towels, sheets, etc. My grandson enjoyed beating us in foosball..😉. We enjoyed exploring and hiking the parks. Dale was really great at responding to my questions. We truly had the best Thanksgiving with our family. There is no doubt we would stay there again!

Great, relaxing view of the Potomac River. The house is well maintained. There are plenty of amenities in the house. Great to have the option of bringing our own bedding. More listings should offer this option. The owner's instructions were detailed and clearly written, and kept in an organized binder on the coffee table.

Perfect Family River Front Getaway

Our week long stay was perfect. Every year our family stays at our cottage in Stratford Harbor. As the children grow into adulthood, our family grows in number and we find we needed extra sleeping space. Finding The Rivah House was the best gift 2020 has given us! The close proximity to the beach and our family’s house sold us! While the photos give a good idea of the house and amenities, the real thing was even better. Super clean, well stocked, fun decor, comfy furnishings. Dale covered all the bases, even supplying us with morning coffee! He was a helpful, friendly host & readily available. We will definitely keep the Rivah House at the top of our list of favorites on VRBO. Thanks for a wonderful week!

Wonderful Getway!

My husband, son, and I just spent a long weekend at Dale's wonderful home. The pictures do not do the view justice! The house was clean and had everything we needed. The binder the owners left with information and recommendations was a wonderful touch. The bottom porch has a rain guard installed which allowed us to remain dry but watch the first thunderstorm of the deason roll through. Rocking on the bench swing, having coffee and watching the sun come up was pure relaxation! Literally the only thing that would make staying here better would be the ability to fish off the dock (off-limits for insurance reasons, which is absolutely understandable). As some other reviews mentioned, everything is at least a 15-20 minute drive; but being away from it all can be a good thing! The community beach, aptly named Shark Tooth Beach, is a quick walk down the road. Maybe the big storm the day we arrived stirred up the sand a bunch, but we found more than 50 sharks teeth in our few days there! I've never seen anything like it. There is access to a lake as well, but we didn't make it there or to the playground. Dale was super responsive to any message sent. All in all a very relaxing wonderful weekend. Would absolutely stay here again. Thank you Dale!

My "happy" place is with my face in the sun / my feet in the sand or my butt in a boat : ). My family and I consider The Rivah House, a home and not just a destination. We have formed life long friendships with our neighbors and built albums worth of memories with family and friends. Our hope for our guests, is that you too, will be taken by the magic of the Northern Neck. And that for you, this beautiful place becomes more than just a destination . I promise you it will. Enjoy !

Darum fiel die Entscheidung auf diese Unterkunft

I discovered the Northern Neck when my family and I were visiting, the weekend home of my business partner and best friend in 2007. His "rivah" home happens to be walking distance from my home, The Rivah House. And believe it or not, my best friend from high school, who I had not seen in over 25 years, owns the house just 2 doors away. Since I bought the home in 2009, my family and friends have celebrated birthdays / holidays / graduations / weddings and anniversaries here. My children have made friends that they now consider family. They have been fishing since toddlers and could pilot a boat or jetski by the time they were 8. My vision for having a home here on the Neck, was simply that, I wanted my children to have an opportunity to experience and do things, that otherwise, they would not have had the opportunity to do. But most of all, i wanted them to experience a place where neighbors watch out for one another , and where you can walk or drive down our street or Main St where everyone pauses to wave or says hello. So, when you are here, and out and about, don't forget to pause, and smile and say hello, Its what we do : )
