We stumbled upon Michigan City/Beachwalk neighborhood in late June and enjoyed it so much that we came back and booked this rental for Labor Day. We loved the central location, the space, etc. Our kids slept great on the pull out couch as did we in the bedroom. The heated floor tiles in the bathroom were a great plus. Our one complaint was the ants mostly in the kitchen area. I expected ants, because they were a small issue at our last private rental within the same neighborhood, but these were in abundance and pretty frustrating this time even when keeping the kitchen spotless. Thankfully, we grilled most of our dinners and spent most of our time enjoying the community/activities and Lake Michigan. I wanted to be upfront and honest about our experience, which included that one minor negative— the rest of the rental unit and experience was amazing! Great location close to fishing pier, kayaking (which we did 3 times), pool, tennis courts, and beach! The community staff were great to deal with, friendly, and had open lines of communication. They didn’t hesitate to answer my 1000 questions before arrival. Our kids loved this location better than our other stay because it also gave them space to scooter around and hangout outside everyday. We will definitely be back and would stay at this rental again! We love Beachwalk and Michigan City area.
