Sehr schönes kleines Haus in Innenstadtlage

Riversmead ist ein sehr schönes kleines Häuschen nahe der Innenstadt von York. Die Inneneinrichtung ist liebevoll gestaltet und man fühlt sich schnell wohl. Das Haus ist gepflegt und in gutem Zustand. Das Haus ist besonders für eine Gruppe von 3 bis 4 Personen zu empfehlen. Es bietet ausreichend Platz und verfügt über moderne Sanitäranlagen. Es bietet ein Parkplatz, aber man ist auch sehr schnell zu Fuß in der Innenstadt und kann die historische Straße "Shambles" besichtigen. Bis zum York Minster sind es ungefähr 20 Minuten. Die Eigentümer stellen ein Willkommenspaket bereit und sind auch bei Notfällen gut erreichbar. Das Haus ist wirklich sehr zu empfehlen.

Wonderful Place To Stay

The property was a 15 minute walk from York City Centre so ideally located for exploring York. Instructions for checking in and out were simple so no stress there.The property itself was beautifully clean and nicely furnished. The beds and bedding were extremely comfortable and we all slept well.We had everything we needed for our stay including cleaning products, hand soap and shower gel so no need to buy whole bottles of stuff just for a few nights.The bread, butter, milk and Prosecco in the fridge were much appreciated as were the grocery staples - tea, coffee and condiments. We didn't cook whilst there but there was everything you could need should you wish to do so.All of our group agreed that we would return should we be visiting York again either together or with our respective families.

Lovely house in York

This is a wonderful property to stay in while visiting York. Clean, quiet and with everything we needed for a family of four. Just a short walk took us right into the heart of the city and all attractions. We really appreciated the treats in the fridge too - very welcome! Thank you so much for a great stay.

Lovely house on river

Lovely place to stay! Very close to all the attractions in York but peacefully on the river and lots of green to look at out back patio. We enjoyed the swans who came each evening. House is very nicely set up, our family of 4 was very comfortable! Highly recommend.

Lovely House

We had a 2 night stay at this lovely house which is in a great location for reaching the city centre quickly. The house was clean and nicely decorated and had ALL the essentials - washing machine, dishwasher, cooker, WiFi, electric shower. The area itself was really quiet, being a small cul de sac and we didn’t see or hear the people in the nearby houses. There were plenty of towels and the owners very kindly left little chocolates on the bed and a bottle of Prosecco in the fridge….just extra little touches that made us feel welcome. Overall a great stay in a nice city in a really lovely house and I’d have no hesitation in booking this house again for a future visit.

By the Riverside

Ideal little spot, loved it. I imagine in the nice weather it is absolutely gorgeous in the little Riverside garden. Our weather was cold but the view was of the river and there were ducks and lovely wildlife. House was clean and we were welcomed with a bottle of sparkling wine and even bread, butter and milk, with teabags, coffee etc. Very pleased and would definitely go there again.

Fantastic house to explore York from.

Very easy to communicate with the owner Jayne. Immaculately clean with a large kitchen and towels, linen, dishcloths, tea and coffee all provided, and a lovely unexpected welcome in the fridge of prosecco, bread, butter and milk. Very clear wufi codes etc too.The garden is much bigger than expected and was lovely to sit in by the river. We all slept so well in very comfy beds. We will recommend the house and are planning back in the future. (The only thing missing was some kitchen roll, and to say there are stairs in the property, but neither caused us an issue.) We had a fantastic weekend. Thank you.

Amazing Place

This was an amazing place for my family (including 3 teens) to stay. Very clean, easy check-in, great kitchen facilities. Dedicated on-site parking right in front of unit. Great location. A little off the beaten path but very quiet and only a 10-15 minute walk from downtown and and the old city center. Close to several grocery stores. The hosts were very responsive. We had a kitchen appliance problem on a holiday but the hosts came out to the unit to fix the issue. Only one set of keys for the unit (previous guests had lost the second set and the hosts hadn't had time to replace) so we could not split up to do different things but the host intends to procure a second set. Would definitely recommend and would definitely stay again!

York at Christmas time

Great location only a short walk into town we loved the markets, side streets, atmosphere and cathedral we had rain, wind and snow all adding the Christmas feel in the air, sadly due to the weather we could not walk the city walls so will need to return 😃 the house was clean and comfortable we loved our long weekend break xx
