THE APARTMENT
Let's start with the most distinctive feature of this 2-bed apartment - the size of the open plan living room / dining area and kitchen. It measures over 7m by 5.5m (that's 23'4" x 18' 3" in old money) and provides direct access to the covered balcony. You're going to enjoy some relaxing times in this space, furnished as it is with a sofa, twin armchairs and a large dining table with room for six to gather for meals, work and games.
The kitchen is very much part of the space, separated from it only by a broad pillar to which a large flat screen TV is mounted. There's plenty to delight anyone with the ambition to create culinary magic in this kitchen. The appliances are integrated into the smoothest, smartest cabinets you're likely to see, oven, hob and dishwasher among them. Also, on the worktop a coffee maker with plenty of pods provided to get you started.
If you're planning a formal meal, the dining table will take care of that, but there's a smaller, more casual table and chairs out on the balcony where you can grab snacks and enjoy morning coffee, a lunchtime sandwich and evening drinks while looking over the rooftops of the neighbourhood.
The 2 bedrooms
These are located next to each other immediately to the left as you enter the apartment. There's no scrimping on the style and comfort in either room, with the mattresses and bedding of the highest quality. Storage space is plentiful too, thanks to integrated wardrobes and smart chests of drawers at the end of the beds. One of the rooms has the bonus of a desk and chair, so if someone in your group needs somewhere quiet to get work done, this is the ideal place for that.
The bathrooms
The main bathroom has a tub with shower overhead and is located next to a smaller cloakroom with a second WC and wash basin. Both spaces feature modern suites with tiled walls and flooring. There's a large mirror in each, and ample shelf space to line up your toiletries.
THE LOCAL AREA
The chance to stay in Chelsea always proves irresistible to guests from all over the world. Located to the southwest of Central London, Chelsea is close to the River Thames and is famed as much for the boutiques along the legendary King's Road as it is for the multi-billion-pound football team that calls this part of the capital home.
Both are easy to reach from this apartment, by the way, with Stamford Bridge, the home of Chelsea FC under half a mile away, and the King's Road even closer. There's more shopping and entertainment to be found on Fulham Broadway, a pleasant 0.7 mile walk from the apartment, with coffee shops, bars, restaurants, stores and a cinema here to enjoy.
Chelsea Harbour (0.5 miles) and the Chelsea Physic Garden (1.1 miles) are more attractions that prove popular with local residents and guests alike, with the Chelsea Flower Show, held in the grounds of the Royal Hospital, just a mile and a half from the apartment. Be sure to book here early, whatever time of year you're looking to stay.
GETTING AROUND
Buses, taxis and Ubers are popular modes of transport that will help you explore the local area. But if you're planning to see more of London, you'll want to take to the underground.
The station at Fulham Broadway is your best bet and the nearest station at just 0.6 miles from the apartment. It's on the District Line, which connects direct to Southfields for the Wimbledon tennis championships, and in the opposite direction to destinations around central London, including Westminster, Tower Hill (for the Tower of London), Whitechapel, West Kensington, Kew Gardens and Richmond.
West Brompton station is slightly further from the apartment (0.8 miles), also on the District Line, but has the added advantage of being served by London Overground network, which has stops all over the capital
