The property was renovated in the 19th century into a manor house and divided into 3 spacious and comfortable flats, each one independent. We are in the small historic centre of Catignano, 4 km from Gambassi Terme, much appreciated for its spa centre located on the Via Francigena. The property offers a sunny and panoramic position over the vineyards to the horizon of the Apuan Alps. The swimming pool has an equipped solarium area for pleasant moments of relaxation. The owners, very kind and helpful people, will welcome you in their private wine cellar where you will have the pleasure of tasting their wines. It is ideal for friends or families looking for a quiet place to visit the Chianti region and the famous Tuscan cities.
The flat is accessed by an internal staircase. The entrance opens onto a large open-plan area divided into a living room with sofa, a beautiful 18th-century open fireplace and satellite TV and a beautiful kitchen-diner. From the living room there is access to a lovely covered terrace equipped for pleasant outdoor dining. The flat is tastefully furnished in the Tuscan tradition and offers two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The kitchen is well equipped with electric oven, microwave, dishwasher, 4 gas rings, toaster, refrigerator with freezer.

The property is situated on the crest of a hill overlooking the Valdera on the border of the provinces of Siena and Florence, and is well suited as a base camp for visiting the cities of art, the Romanesque parish churches along the historic Via Francigena and the medieval castles in the surrounding area. About 5 km away, in the centre of Gambassi Terme, there is a thermal centre where you can drink natural spring water, rich in numerous purifying properties, and relax in the wellness centre. Around Catignano there are many white roads and paths, to be travelled on foot, on horseback or by mountain bike. For golf lovers, there is a well-equipped centre in Castelfalfi, about 18 km away. Wine shop and tasting of typical dishes about 5 km away.
