The Neighborhood:
This property is in an upscale area in the heart of Kensington with a lovely collection of garden squares and elegant stucco terraces and home to some of the world’s most famous and prestigious museums. The Natural History Museum, Science Museum and V & A are a short 14-minute walk away or 3-minute taxi or 11-minute bus ride (74 bus). From there you are just a short walk into Knightsbridge, with Harrods and Selfridges for shopping and afternoon tea.
Well-to-do shoppers have antique stores on Kensington Church Street and can frequent chic boutiques on Kensington High Street which is about 12 minutes’ walk away where you can also find High Street Kensington Station. Here you can enjoy the famous Ivy restaurant or jump on a bus, tube, walk 25 minutes or a 10-minute taxi to the famous Portobello Road in Notting Hill with colourful houses and street markets for food, antiques or vintage pieces. From High Street Kensington you can rent a Boris bicycle to ride through the scenic Kensington Palace Gardens into Hyde Park or alternatively enjoy the walk.
The grand Royal Albert Hall hosts concerts from classical to pop and is only a 4-minute taxi or 18-minute bus or 22-minute walk away. You have Earls Court tube station less than an 8-minute walk away which consists of the Piccadilly line, Hammersmith, London overground amongst others and the City/Circle line if you want to get to Westfields (Shepherds Bush station/White City station) which is one of the largest shopping centres with over 375 shops.
