Dieses charmante, professionell eingerichtete Haus wurde 2005 gebaut und im März 2017 von neuen Besitzern komplett renoviert. Es ist eine gute Ergänzung zum Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge, um einen komfortablen und privaten Ort zum Entspannen nach einem Tag am Strand zu bieten. Das 2900 Quadratmeter große Haus bietet drei Stockwerke, vier Schlafzimmer und drei Vollbäder. Darüber hinaus finden Sie 2 Wohnräume, zwei Veranden, ein Krähennest und eine praktische Garage für ein Auto, mit Golfwagen und 2 Beach Cruiser Fahrräder für eine schnelle Fahrt zum Strand inklusive.

Im Erdgeschoss finden Sie ein geräumiges Wohnzimmer mit einem 65-Zoll-Smart-TV, große Schnittcouch, die zu einem vollen Bett ausklappt, und viele Sitzgelegenheiten. Der Wohnbereich ist offen für das Esszimmer und eine voll ausgestattete Küche mit Granit und Frühstückstheke, Kühlschrank, Mikrowelle, Keurig Kaffeemaschine, Geschirrspüler und Waschküche mit voller Größe Waschmaschine und Trockner. Direkt neben dem Wohn- und Esszimmer ist eine große abgeschirmte Veranda mit vielen Sitzgelegenheiten im Freien, wo Sie das Rauschen der Wellen genießen können.

Auch im Erdgeschoss befindet sich eine Master-Suite mit gemütlicher Sitzecke, großem Fernseher, großzügigem Kleiderschrank und Master-Bad mit großer Gartenwanne, separater verglaster Dusche, Doppelwaschtisch und separatem Toilettenraum. Auf der anderen Seite des Foyers befindet sich ein Gästezimmer mit einem Queen-Size-Bett und einem großen Fernseher und angrenzendem Badezimmer. Während das Badezimmer vom Schlafzimmer getrennt ist, kann die Halle durch eine Tür abgeschlossen werden, um die Privatsphäre und das Gefühl eines 2. Schlafzimmers zu schaffen.

Im Obergeschoss finden Sie zwei Gästezimmer (1 Queen und 2 Zwillinge), ein Vollbad und einen gemütlichen Wohnbereich mit einer ausziehbaren Couch, bequemen Sitzgelegenheiten und einem großen Fernseher mit einer PlayStation 4. Es ist der perfekte Treffpunkt für Kinder und Jugendliche. Ein paar Stufen führen zum möblierten Krähennest mit Panoramablick auf den wunderschönen Golf von Mexiko. Das Krähennest bietet 2 Ausziehbetten (für 4 Personen) mit eigenem Fernseher. Weitere Merkmale sind 24 Fuß Decken in den Wohn- und Esszimmern, 10 Fuß Decken in allen anderen im Erdgeschoss Wohnbereich, Deckenventilatoren, Zentralheizung und Klimaanlage, WLAN und viele Lagerflächen.

Fun Visit After Getting In!

We enjoyed out stay at the Hammock House. It is close to the beach that is not busy at all. The golf cart and garage full of beach and pool equipment was great. We did have issues getting into the house. The door code did not work, the doors were locked and the keys did not work. We had to call the homeowner to get into the house and then only got in because the garage door was broken. The listing is accurate. The house is big with plenty of indoor and outdoor space for the 11 people we had. Very comfortable beds and spaces to come and go. There were a couple of things we were hoping for that were listed but had issues with. The Playstation 4 gaming system did not work and there was mold on the ceiling in the 2nd bathroom on the main floor. Just a few things that made it not a perfect house but no one looks back and didn't enjoy their time at the Hammock House.

Absolutely Loved this home

This home was absolutely amazing. The only Con to this property is the parking. The driveway is very small, we were barely able to fit two SUVs in the lot. For a home this size I would definitely recommend more parking for bigger families traveling in multiple vehicles. We were able to park one of the three on a secured property not too far from the home, however there was a slight fee. Other than that this home was perfect!

Labor Day Weekend at the Hammock House

This was our second year in a row, to stay at the Hammock House. My grandkids and I loved the house and the location. My grandkids were upset to leave, because they were having so much fun. The house was in a great location, with a security guard to patrol the area. All the security guards were very friendly and very helpful. The only thing I disliked was the overflow parking, which was maybe 1/4 to 1/2 a mile down the road. It was kinda an inconvenience. The guy with the overflow parking is super nice as well. We, absolutely, enjoyed our stay. I wish we could have stayed longer.

Quiet and comfy

This property was perfect for a family of 11, including adults, teens and children under 12. Plenty of space to spread out. It was in a quiet neighborhood with beautiful pools and great access (5 minute with golf cart/10 minute walk) to the beach. The beach was never crowded. We would stay here again!

Our family loved it!! It was close to pool and beach!! The pier walk way was excellent to the beach!! The kids loved riding bikes! Only thing is you need more bikes! Youth bikes for smaller kids! I’d say atleast 6 bikes would be perfect! The neighborhood was awesome! If you are looking for a great vacation home here it it!!

Great house for a large family

Overall, we loved our vacation, and the house met our needs! We had 11 people in the house - 8 adults and 3 teenagers. The house was clean, very cute, and we had plenty of space. There was nothing that we considered "bad" about the house, but I do have some feedback that owners and future renters may want to know. * With the house fitting 12 people, the likelihood there will be more than one family renting this home is high. Therefore, it would be nice for the 1st floor guest bedroom to have a king size bed also instead of a queen so the heads of 2 families don't have to flip for the only king size bed. * There are no dressers, nor any luggage racks to place your open suitcase on, in the 1st floor bedrooms or the crows nest. Therefore, you either have to hang everything up or live out of your suitcase on the floor. Bring hangers because there were very few hangers in any of the closets of the 4 bedrooms. There were dressers in the 2nd floor bedrooms. * Although the VRBO description did not specify the size of the golf cart, we were surprised to find that it was only a 4-person golf cart vs. a 6-person considering the size of the house. However, the golf cart was VERY nice and looked almost brand new. We just coordinated multiple trips to the beach with all of our stuff. * Screened in porch had some tears in the screen that we taped closed. The nature reserve behind the house is pretty, but the bugs are vicious! * Neighborhood great! Pools great! Beach great!

We love staying at this property. My only complaint is that you can only have two cars on property and have to pay $50 to store other vehicles off the property. Just a little inconvenient when you have a large family.

Amazing house and location!

The house is perfect for a family vacation with multiple families and children. The golf cart and bikes are perfect for ease of beach going. The indoor pool is also perfect for cold or rainy days. Spacious family vacation home

My family recently rented this property for our family vacation. It was fully stocked and very comfortable. The house was large enough that everyone could escape to their own corners for down time. The kids loved the crow's nest, my parents were very comfortable in their master suite. My husband and I had our own area downstairs as well. The golf cart is a plus to get around the neighborhood in. A few of us utilized the gym this time, it was sufficient. We love the pool to dip in after the beach. My father is wheelchair bound and the house was perfectly suitable for him. Martinique is in a great location, it's very family oriented. The neighborhood is quiet yet close enough to shopping and restaurants. We will be back soon and are going to stick with this particular property.

Needs professionally cleaned and updates done

This house has SOOO much potential! The layout and size of the house is perfect for a large family. Unfortunately the owners need someone besides whoever they are using to come in and clean and do repairs. We called with concern about mold prior to our stay due to another comment. The only mold/mildew we saw was in one bathroom and it wasn’t a lot but it was still there along with a hole in the ceiling . The walls are filthy, the sofa and chairs are filthy, along with the garage being filthy. The stove was brand knew, unfortunately the renters bf us cooked on it and left boiled over water/food on the top (cleaning crew again did nothing) So I understand poor renters probably caused the issues but with a proper cleaning co to clean and touch up paint, etc this could be a very nice house. The golf cart was phenomenal and made trips to the beach and pool much easier. I wouldn’t say it’s an easy walk to the beach but maybe to the pools. Overall due to the cleanliness I would NOT stay here again. The owners will also use the excuse for negative reviews that the person wanted a refund. We did contact with concerns twice about the mold. The first one I took their word so didn’t cancel even tho it was still w/in my time frame, I did call a few days bf this visit w/concern again bc a recent review stated mold. The husband first said they would refund, when I called him back he said he would have to talk to his wife who then stated we were past the refund date but would give us a partial refund (no amount stated) but assured us no mold. I will also say I believe the pictures are from when the house was new/freshly renovated. We made the best of what we had and tried not to let it ruin our family vacation

Dirty and not worth the price

There are multiple issues with the home!! The pictures posted are not accurate. The oven was broken when we arrived and had been for over a month. The hosts did not inform us till we were there. After several days of contacting them they did finally replace it. The gas grill outside is filthy from lack of proper cleaning, The home itself needs lots of repairs..many ceiling leak stains, filthy air vents, mold around vents and on windows, as well as baseboards covered in dirt and filth. The furniture in the family room has so many stains I don't even want to sit on it. The kitchen windows have a green film of mildew on them ~ not what we were expecting, or represented in your listing on VRBO We have stayed in many other properties in this neighborhood that were perfect, an that's what we expected with the listing. For the price, we were expecting a nice, clean property but it was not that at all. When we talked about these issue with the host they were zero help besides the oven which should have been done before we arrived. The only positives of the house were the location and a nice golf cart.

Oven never worked for 7 days! Hammock House

We come to Martinique with 13 family members. (grandparents, 2 married offspring couples and 7 college grandchildren.) Each couple prepares ahead of time casseroles that will help fill up lots of college kids. (too many to go out to eat and too expensive) Sunday night, after returning from the beach, we put in a casserole, and we discovered the oven did not turn on. We texted and owner promised each day to have it repaired the next day with a part he had ordered, but it never happened. He bought us dinner one night and we picked it up. Reading the review from June, the oven wasn't working then either. We left July 9 and there was no working oven. About the house: needs lots of TLC. Hole in downstairs ceiling where there had been a leak and it contains mold and mildew. If owner had alerted us ahead of time since he knew oven was not working and had it repaired promptly, I would have recommended Hammock House. Obviously, owner does not care. I would not recommend Hammock House or vrbo. I am surprised that vrbo lists this house, and we will never again rent through vrbo....only Martinique!

Not as advertised

For the money spent to stay there, was not worth it. Was not clean upon arrival. Water damage in ceilings, black mold in the ceiling, broken things throughout the house. TV not working, remotes were dead so had to buy batteries and still was not working. Oven did not work but they bought a small little counter top oven. Electrical shorts in outlets so beware plugging things in The beach is actually about 3/4 mile - 1 mile walk or golf cart ride. The pools are nice, but are still a walk to go. We thought pools and beach were close but are not. We had 15 in our party but this house is suited for maybe 8. I would not recommend this house.
