Set in the heart of the scenic coastal town of Salcombe, this charming three-storey cottage, perfect for families and friends, offers a peaceful base from which to explore the treasures of South Devon's coastline. Salcombe is known for its bustling quayside and enchanting coastal views. Board an estuary cruise from Salcombe Harbour (0.5 miles) to spot glimpses of the resident seal colony. Water sports enthusiasts can go sailing, kayaking, surfing or paddleboarding from the quay. For a perfect bucket and spade beach day with abundant rock pools, head to North Sands Beach, less than 2 miles away.
At the heart of this characterful and homely property is the downstairs open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with a serene ambience and neutral colour palette that invites you to unwind at the end of a day of adventures. Enjoy the nautical theme and decor that reflect the coastline setting. The lounge has plenty of comfortable seating and a TV, so you can share movie nights together. A contemporary kitchen has everything you need to rustle up some family favourites. A shower room completes the downstairs. On the first floor, you''ll find a family bathroom, a king-size and a bunk bedroom. The second floor comprises a double bedroom tucked beneath the eaves, with magnificent rooftop views over Batson Creek and Island Street. Outside, you’ll find the decking, offering a haven of tranquillity where you can read or enjoy a leisurely morning coffee. There is no parking at the property, but there are local car parks within half a mile of the doorstep. Please note that there are two flights of external concrete steps from Island Street to the property's front door.
Aside from the beaches, there's a wealth of activities to discover. Walk in the heather-clad moorland of Dartmoor (19.5 miles) or at East Soar (4.5 miles) to explore the unspoilt and isolated coast between Bolt Head and Bolt Tail. Learn about the local culture and take in the spectacular coastal views and green lanes on the cycle route at East Prawle (14.5 miles).
