The beach is perfect for families, with shallow waters to the right of the pier, and the further you walk, the more tranquil and isolated the shoreline becomes. On sunny days, the clear waters offer a stunning backdrop for a peaceful day by the sea.
The town boasts a variety of popular spots to eat and drink, such as The Art House Café, Hatters Tea Shop, The Rocket Café, and the North Lodge Park Tea Rooms, located atop the cliffs for stunning views. For traditional pub fare, The Red Lion Pub and The White Horse are local favorites. The Gangway is a growing hotspot for wine and cocktails, while fish and chips lovers will find Mary Janes and Number 1 Fish and Chips highly recommended by locals.
For shopping, Cromer has seen a wave of exciting new openings in recent years, including galleries, surf shops, and organic food outlets. Lizzies is ideal for fresh produce, and The Craft Bakery is the go-to spot for freshly baked bread.
