APPLE TREE BARN, family friendly, with hot tub in Dalton-In-Furness
Apple Tree Barn in Cumbria sleeps six people in three bedrooms.
Apple Tree Barn consists of a kitchen with an electric oven, induction hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, a dining room with seating for six people, a living room with a smart TV and woodburning stove, and a utility with a washing machine. The bedrooms consist of a king with a TV, a double with a TV and an en-suite, and a ground-floor twin (zip/link, can be king on request), serviced by a bathroom and a cloakroom. Outside there is an enclosed rear patio and lawn garden with furniture and hot tub, and off-road parking for 6 cars. Sorry, this is a pet-free, smoke-free property. WiFi, fuel, power, a starter pack for woodburning stove, bed linen, and towels are all included in the rent. Apple Tree Barn is a luxury base for exploring Cumbria and the Lake District. Note: The property is located on a working farm.
Amenities: Underfloor heating on ground- floor. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher. 3 x Smart TVs with Freeview, WiFi. Fuel, power, and starter pack for woodburning stove inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Off-road parking for 6 cars. EV charging for 1 car available on the owner's drive. Enclosed rear garden with lawn, patio, furniture, and hot tub. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shop 1.6 miles, pub 0.7 miles. Note: The property is located on a working farm
Region: The ultimate in “year-round” appeal, the Peak District offers countryside, picturesque villages and magnificent scenery. It touches upon six counties and encloses 555 square miles of open moorland, flowing rivers, and wooded dales.
Town: The ancient town of Dalton-in-Furness lies in a narrow valley on that part of the Furness Peninsula which extends deep into Morecambe Bay. Once the leading town of Furness, Dalton has a good selection of shops, restaurants and pubs. The architecture of the town includes some interesting buildings in and around the market place, as well as an elegant Victorian drinking fountain, the market cross and slabs of stone used for fish drying in the 19th century. The 14th-century pele tower, known as Dalton Castle, was originally a place of refuge for the monks of nearby Furness Abbey, an impressive sandstone ruin nestling in a peaceful wooded valley. Within easy reach of the town are the South Lakes Wild Animal Park, the world's only Laurel and Hardy museum at Ulverston and the Haventhwaite Steam Railway which runs to Lakeside, where you can board a steam train for Bowness or Ambleside. Just north of Dalton-in-Furness is the stunning Duddon Estuary and Duddon Valley, with Cartmel, Holker Hall and Grizedale Forest within easy reach. Situated on the edge of the Lake District National Park, and surrounded by mountains and beaches, this area is ideal for walkers, cyclists and nature lovers.
