Born and raised on the island of Guernsey, my career took me to London, where I founded a recruitment agency. Along the way, I juggled three children, three dogs, a cat, and a couple of husbands (past and present) before we eventually retired to Cornwall. While undeniably beautiful, Cornwall comes with a little too much rain—hence the perfect excuse to escape to the sun-drenched Greek islands!

Why We Bought This Villa
I first visited Fiscardo at 24 ( some 30 years ago 1995) staying in a small apartment above the local wine bar. The owner, Catherine, was worried about her cat, who had stopped eating and wasn’t doing well. When I returned to London, I sent a large sack of my own cat’s favorite food back to Fiscardo. Six months later, I got a message—Catherine’s cat had finished the food and was thriving again.
Thirty years later, while visiting Fiscardo again, Nicky, a wonderful estate agent in the harbour, convinced us to view a couple of villas for sale. The moment I stepped onto the deck of Villa No. 2, it was an instant yes—breathtakingly beautiful, with stunning sea views, secluded and effortlessly stylish.
And then, in an incredible twist of fate, I discovered that the owner was Catherine—the very same woman whose cat I had helped all those years ago. Kismet.

A unique 240 square meter villa with 4 double bedrooms and 2 private swimming pools. Built in 2001, Villa Altomare is nestled on a hillside surrounded by lush natural Kefalonian vegetation. The sunset views from this villa are quite spectacular. Within 5 minutes walking distance is the small Alaties beach with beautiful clear water, natural sea salt pools and a charming taverna 400m from the villa.
The harbour village of Fiscardo is just 8km away. The villa has a stylish and chic contemporary interior design with all modern amenities. Outside, furnishings are in teak wood and rattan with 300 square meters of teak decking to relax and enjoy the amazing sunsets and offers total privacy to ensure a relaxing experience.
