Host & Stay | The September Cottage
Summary:
Located in a tranquil lane, this two-bedroom cottage boasts a sunlit private garden & a delightful courtyard. Offering a haven of serenity amidst the lively atmosphere of central Brighton, it's only a leisurely 10-min walk to the beach. There's a well-equipped kitchen, two bedrooms accommodating 4 guests, & a charming living room with a log burner and stripped wooden floors. Enjoy solitude in the freestanding bath or socialize with friends in the private garden or watch the Smart TV together.
The Space:
Sleeping up to four guests, September Cottage has been lovingly restored and offers a charming, honest and rustic character blended seamlessly with modern comforts for a comfortable and relaxing stay.
The cottage is arranged over two floors and interiors have been carefully crafted with stripped back floorboards and chalk walls complementing locally sourced and recycled antique furniture and textiles.
The cottage was built in the mid 1840's as part of the Cliftonville estate. The area now known as Clifton Hill was developed between the 1820's and the 1860's and is an outstanding conservation area with many stunning examples of Regency and Victorian architecture. Italianate villas with ironwork, balconies and verandahs sit alongside Victorian terraces, grand Crescents and pretty Regency squares.
The luminous modern kitchen is equipped with everything you’ll need during your stay - there’s an electric oven and ceramic hob, fridge/ freezer, coffee machine and dishwasher and wooden worktop. There's plenty of cookware, glassware, crockery and cutlery for you to use during your stay. In addition to this we offer complimentary tea and coffee, salt and pepper and cooking oil - so please help yourself.
A cosy and relaxing room with a sofa a Smart TV, and comfortable arm chair that's the perfect spot for reading. For chilly nights there is a log burner with logs supplied for your use. The dining area has a table and chairs that comfortably seats 4 so this is the perfect place to enjoy a meal or drinks with family or friends.
Upstairs you’ll find two lovely bedrooms. The master bedroom benefits from a king sized bed with plenty storage for your personal belonging. In the cosy second bedroom you'll find 2 single beds. We also provide fresh white linen, towels and toiletries for every guest to use during their stay.
Freestanding bath with modern shower, underfloor heating, bathroom toiletries and essentials, soft bathroom towels; the ultimate relaxation space!
Cafe table and two chairs, bench seating, small barbecue create a beautifully calm outdoor space that you won't want to leave! Doors from the kitchen fold out onto the secluded courtyard and steps lead up to a private sunny garden enclosed with Sussex flint walls.
