Belper offers a charming mix of antique shops and traditional pubs and restaurants, as well as an independent cinema for rainy days. Other nearby towns with just as much Derbyshire character include Matlock (10 miles) and Ashbourne (11 miles). With the Peak District National Park only 12.5 miles away, this is a great base for hikers, cyclists, and fellow lovers of the outdoors. Closer attractions include Belper River Gardens (1 mile), White Peak Distillery, and the Great British Car Journey Museum (both within 4 miles).
