Set on a quiet lane with direct access to the coastline, Kittiwake Cottage comfortably accommodates up to six guests (max. five adults) over three generous bedrooms. Ideally suited for family breaks in the summer it’s also an idyllic winter retreat with its character filled lounge with fireplace and comfy, sumptuous sofas to coorie into.
Entering the cottage the ground floor has the first of the king bedrooms, a bedroom with bunk beds, cosy snug with TV, utility room and family bathroom with shower over bath. Upstairs, there is the second king bedroom with en-suite shower room, dining area with sea views, lounge with living flame gas stove and dining kitchen with views across to the Isle of May.
The courtyard garden is fully enclosed and offers a sunny spot to relax with the sound of the waves nearby. On street parking is available.
Kittiwake Cottage offers plenty of space for guests to relax as well as areas to gather together and recount their adventures of the day. With the coastal path on the doorstep, you can easily reach the nearby Cellardyke Tidal pool, harbour front of Anstruther with its selection of cafes, restaurants and independent shops as well as all the neighbouring villages. As well as several world famous golf courses within ten miles, there are plenty other opportunities for an active break with water sports, walking and cycling routes, fishing and boat trips all available locally.
There are many stunning locations along the coast with plenty photo worthy spots to capture memories from lighthouses to caves, historic churches and harbours.
No trip to the East Neuk is complete without trying some local produce where specialities include seafood, artisan breads, fresh berries and organic beers. Pick some delights up at the local market and farm shops or sample some local fare at one of the local restaurants or fish and chip shops. St Andrews is approx. 15 minutes and Edinburgh one hour so the East Neuk is well placed as a base from which to explore more of the beautiful area.
