Well priced apartment for short stay

This is an apt in a mammoth property. Mgr gave generally good instructions though we also got help in finding apt from residents. Apt was quiet with well supplied kitchen dishware, pots and pans and utensils. King bed comfortable.

Fine, gven we lost our home to fire.

When we arrived, the smoke detector was beeping; had to run out and buy another. The second detector followed, Then the “battery low” for the front door plate, which meant we’d be locked out; no instructions anywhere how to replace it, or contact for maintenance. No WiFi for two days. Beds were comfy; full kitchen spice rack. Dorm room decor.

Do not recommend

We were excited to stay at this apartment! Despite reviews, we didn’t think it could be all that bad. Within the first hour, we were killing bugs all over the kitchen counters. Microwave, stove were dirty and old water was in the coffee pot. The bathtub has brown stains and an old mat. I could not bathe my infant daughter in that tub. Once I turned the water on, bugs crawled throughout . Not to mention yellow “stuff” on the ceiling. The rooms at first glance looked ok until you sat on the bed to find out it was broken. There were bugs crawling on the walls and in the second bedroom, bed that my 11 year old daughter slept in. Underneath the bed were used tissue paper, water bottles and lots of dust bunnies. The clear showet curtain had ..chocolate or blood on the top right which was very disturbing. We brought this to the host attention and they assured us the cleaners would go back and take care of it while we were out. We walked in to a strong smell of bug spray fumes and they had to leave the screen door propped open along with a window in one of the bedrooms. The big problem was not resolved as bugs continued to crawl out of the sink, counters, and every crevice throughout the apartment. It was very unsettling and uncomfortable, The bed was “fixed” although we were nervous to lay on it incase it broke again. Needless to say, the big problem is an infestation, not a one time occurrence. This apartment is not sanitary. We wanted to live it bc of the location but we didn’t!

Poorly Equipped, Gross Tub, Cheap Furnishing, Good location

The apartment is “bare bones” equipped. Basis necessities that we would have expected in a luxury apartment in Marina Del Ray were not provided. No trash can liner bags, no dish towels, no toilet paper, minimal cooking pans, absolutely no cleaning supplies, broom, or vacuum. Bedroom furnishings are “IKEA quality” and are not appropriate for an apartment of this price. The bed side tables could not be cheaper, (one drawer doesn’t have a bottom) and there is very limited bedroom wall décor. When we arrived, the bathroom sink was plugged, the cheap bathroom ventilation fan made lots of noise. The tub had black mold around the perimeter that I was able to wipe with a Q-Tip. There were stains in the tub covered by a mat that was old. The tub was GROSS. When we arrived the WIFI did not work based on the access code given and the TV was not working either. Both were fixed in time. The master bedroom bed is broken at the foot of the bed in the center which was never fixed after several complaints. The foam beds are also very hot and uncomfortable. The bed in the second bedroom is particularly bad and needs to be replaced. The hot water in the kitchen, shower and the bathroom sink takes at least 3 to 5 minutes to provide warm water. I would not recommend this apartment.
