We love the character and charm of this welcoming cottage, with exposed beams and uneven walls throughout, it is ideally located in a peaceful village but has easy access to the Lake District attractions.. Ground Floor:

Kitchen/dining room: Woodburner, Electric Oven, Electric Hob, Microwave, Fridge/Freezer, Dishwasher, Patio Doors Leading To Patio
Utility Room: Washing Machine, Tumble Dryer
Bedroom 1: Kingsize (5ft) Bed Ensuite: Cubicle Shower, Toilet
First Floor:

Bathroom: Bath With Shower Over, Toilet. Oil central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Fuel for open fire and wood burner available locally.. Large, enclosed lawned back garden with patio and garden furniture. On road parking, 30 yards away. No smoking.. As you open the door to this lovely property, you immediately step into a charming reception room which shows off the character of the property with its low ceilings, exposed beams and a open fire, the perfect introduction. Moving through the property into the open-plan kitchen/dining area you get to see more of the cottage’s character and also a great view of the large garden area and surrounding hills. The kitchen is well-serviced with all the amenities you could need to prepare everything from a quick snack to a Sunday roast. The dining area is a great social space and the perfect place for family or friends to get together and enjoy chatting over a good meal or glass of wine. The log burner helps to create a warm and welcoming environment for all. Just off this area is the first bedroom offering a kingsize bed and ensuite shower room. Also on the ground floor, accessible from the patio area is a utility room which is also storage for bikes or paddle boards, and is a great place to kick off the walking boots and coats after a day’s hiking. Heading upstairs in the property there are three more bedrooms, two further double rooms and with two single beds. The accommodation is completed with a family bathroom with a bath and shower unit above it.
Satterthwaite is a quiet little Hamlet with a pub, only a short walk from the cottage, there are walks available from the doorstep for the hikers amongst you. The village itself is equidistant between Coniston Water and Lake Windermere so is ideally positioned for exploring these famous waters and also in a great place to visit popular towns such as Coniston, Ambleside, Hawkshead and Bowness to mention a few.
For the adventurous amongst you, Grizedale forest park offers mountain bike hire and trails or the tree-top adventures of Go ape, along with a visitor centre and the interesting unique sculptures dotted around the forest, there are Segways, and kids play areas. The south lakes area has something for everyone whether you love the fine dining of Michelin-starred restaurants, escape rooms, stately homes and gardens, water sports, and museums or simply enjoying climbing, walking or cycling against the backdrop of some of the best scenery on the planet, you’ll keep coming back for more for years to come.
