Villa Carafa di Belvedere - Appartamento Olimpia by Wonderful Italy
Prestigious studio in the renowned Villa Carafa di Belvedere, in the heart of Vomero, in a private and panoramic position of the city of Naples.
The apartment is located within the historic Villa Carafa, a symbol of the Vomero district and with origins dating back to the late 1600s. Built on commission by merchant Ferdinando Vandeneyden, the villa over the centuries attracted nobles and artists who embellished it and defined its prestige. The apartment features refined furnishings, with original modern antiques, set up with taste and care, and consists of a single, well-arranged room. On one side is the living area with a modern open-plan kitchen, a dining table, a Missoni sofa and a TV; a closet separates it from the sleeping area, which features a queen-size bed and access to a private balcony. A bathroom with shower completes the layout.
At the entrance of the Villa, next to the main entrance door to the apartment, there is an additional door leading to the splendid belvedere with garden and panoramic view of the Bay of Naples. Here you can stroll and enjoy the splendid panorama that the capital of Campania has to offer.
Free wifi, washing machine, air conditioning and heating with heat pump will be available in the accommodation.
Guests will benefit from an outdoor parking slot inside the property.
*Upon arrival or a few days before arrival it may be required to pay a tourist tax, which varies according to local regulations. You will find all the details of your reservation within the Guest Area of Wonderful Italy.
We also offer our guests authentic experiences of living in contact with the locals. If interested, please contact us and we will be happy to help you create your perfect holiday discovering the beauty of Italy.
"When you go to Naples you cry twice: when you arrive and when you leave," they say. Naples is a unique city, to be experienced by walking through the alleys, smelling the scent of gastronomic delicacies in the air, and admiring its rich artistic and monumental heritage.
Naples has a distinctive culinary tradition for its famous Neapolitan pizza, and the art of its pizza makers has been declared an intangible heritage of humanity by UNESCO.
Strolling through Spaccanapoli, the street that cuts the city in half, one traverses its thousand-year history thanks to the presence of ancient palaces and churches, such as the Duomo di Napoli and the Maschio Angioino. If there is one place that symbolizes Naples, it is Piazza del Plebiscito, now a symbol of the new 'Neapolitan Renaissance' where tourists come to admire its grandeur and two jewels: the neoclassical colonnade of the church of San Francesco di Paola and the Royal Palace. Today it is also possible to visit 'the underground city', or the so-called 'belly of Naples', which served the Neapolitans as a refuge during the bombing raids, where tourists can walk through the Greco-Roman aqueduct, the air-raid shelters, and finally visit the War Museum.
Particularly not to be missed is the San Severo Chapel, which houses the sculpture of the Veiled Christ, one of the most fascinating and mysterious works to be seen in Naples, the work of Giuseppe Sanmartino.
Naples Central Station is 10 kilometers from the apartment, and Naples Airport is about a 20-minute drive away.
