ABOUT THIS SPACE
Windrush Lodge Set in the peaceful Village in north Wiltshire near Cotswolds Country park with own private bathroom and other amenities. It is also an excellent base for walks and visiting the Cotswolds, Cirencester, Bath and Oxford.
Whether you're enjoying breakfast on the sun-kissed lawn, or relaxing in bed or hammock whilst serenaded by the local songbirds, you'll always find peace here.
Within the lodge is a Bed settee that fold out into a Double Bed which can be made up on request and which is super comfy. (please discuss with the host regarding additional guests using the Bed settee and cost thereof). In addition to the above, Travel Cot and Highchair can be made available free of charge.

We Can Accommodate Sleeping Arrangement For Extra Guests Subject To Additional Cost (Please Enquire Before Booking).

FACILITIES
Facilities include TV with DVD player and an Android box providing access to YouTube and other film Apps. Selection of DVDs for family and children as well as and board games and books are provided for entertainment.
You also have access to fridge, toaster and kettle and Nespresso coffee maker and other cooking facilities like Heston Blumenthal Multi Cooker and Air Fryer. Mugs, plates, glasses and cutlery are provided in the usual way.
Tea, coffee as well as Nespresso coffee pods and other condiments like butter and jam are provided to welcome the guests. (Bread can be provided on Request)
As well as a nice self contained double room you have access to an open plan lounge with basic kitchen area and outdoor pergola seating.

If required, catering can be provided, this would be subject to your requirement. Please see the list of options provided in your lodge. ( this is subject to availability of the host and enquiry 24 hours in advance)

Outdoor Relaxation and Barbeque Facilities
Enjoy the weather in the hammock and cuddle up with your kids. It’s a perfect spot to recharge your battery.
You also have access to the grounds and in particular the Mediterranean style outdoor pergola seating area with seasonal hanging vines. The area outdoor can accommodate up to 8 seating with access to a barbeque and wood burning pizza oven.


HOT TUB
The Use of Wood burning Hot tub requires at least 24 hours notice. The guest would need to be coached in correct and safe use of the Hot-tub and wood burner. (please contact the Host regarding availability and cost)


PIZZA OVEN AND BARBEQUE
The Use of Wood burning Pizza Oven requires at least 24 hours notice. The guest would need to be coached in correct and safe use of the Pizza Oven for safety reasons. (please contact the Host regarding availability and cost)

OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES
Cotswolds Water Park, Country park, paths and riverside walks are a stone throw away from Windrush Lodge.

For water sports, wetsuit and paddle boards could be organised. up to 4 bicycles can be made available. (All at very reasonable hire charge)

Accessibility features
Access to the lodge is up one single step and therefore suitable for guests with mobility issues.
The Bathroom is a wet room with no trips or obstruction for those mobility issues. Please contact the host for further details or to discuss your requirements.

The village has a church and a local self-independent pub which are both just a few minutes walk away. Historical estate, Lydiard Park with manor and tour can be half an hour by foot for an idyllic walk or just 7 minute drive away. Other attractions are listed below.

There is free parking on-site for one car. Location as illustrated by the red car in the cover photo.

Interaction with Guests
We welcome engaging with the guests, however their privacy is of significant importance.

The guests often wish to break away from home choirs and in the past have requested culinary support from us. Subject to the availability, the host can support the guests with catering support.

House manual

Proof of identity,
We require each guest (over the age of 15) to have and show us- a valid form of identification upon check-in similar to a driving license.

House rules and additional guests
Subject to previous agreement by the Host additional 2 adults can be accommodated on the Bed settee. Additional charge will apply where guests were to receive overnight visitor. Should the Guests need it catering can be provided by the Host.

Guests and visitors:
We are perfectly happy having people pop by to pick you up, but you may not use the property to entertain them. We'd be happy to recommend other suitable places for you to spend time with your visitors or friends.

All overnight guests must be approved in advance and are subject to an additional fee as noted in the price.

This must be done no later than 24 hours before their arrival and agreed with the host in advance.

Quiet Time(s):
We ask you to be aware of the noise you are making throughout the day and we ask you to lower the music and when outdoors keep the noise down between 10 pm and 8 am.

We as well as our neighbours appreciate this courtesy.

Smoking Policy:
There is no smoking allowed indoors. All smoking should take place outdoors and related waste should be disposed of properly.

Deliveries:
Deliveries - apart from food deliveries like Deliveroo or Uber Eats routine deliveries are not allowed. This means no post or Amazon shipments either. There are "Amazon lockers" located throughout the neighbourhood where you may pick up deliveries at your convenience.

Internet WiFi:
The WiFi access point is linked to the house via a booster. It broadcasts on both the 2.4gHz and 5gHz bands. However, it like all other internet slows down when people get home from work. We have noticed no appreciable slow-downs If you have issues, let us know.

Shower, Toilet and Heating
The shower is a step-in shower with a glass partition, please be aware of the glass. To allow your towels and washcloths to dry there is a special radiator in the bathroom

The toilet has a concealed under the rim douche bidet that is an excellent aid for Personal Hygiene.

The whole house has underfloor heating and radiators

Refrigerator:
There is a 40litre refrigerator for your personal use.

Cutlery, dishes and glasses
All of the dishes and glasses are located in the upper cabinet next to the sink. Silverware & Utensils are located in the same place. If you wish to use the stove please discuss that with the host.

Any other utensils you may require please do not hesitate to ask the host.

Electric Fan,
During the hot summer periods, a fan can be provided, however opening the windows with create a nice cool breeze

Furniture:
The bed settee and tables, chairs, curtains and blinds and other soft furnishings should not be interfered with or moved around significantly.

Health and Safety,
The guests are responsible their safety and the safety of the children and pets.

Pets
The Host has no dogs or pets and you are welcome to bring your pet, if it is a small dog then you need to take care as the fence does have gaps for them to exit the curtilage.

Please note that small dogs can exit the property through gaps in the fence and the guests need to be vigilant.
