Adventure House - Whitby

Adventure House is tucked away down a peaceful yard just steps away from one of the most popular streets in Whitby, lined with welcoming traditional pubs, quirky cafés and independent shops. You are right in the heart of the town, with all of the attractions within easy reach. This is a great choice for family and friends, as the house is spacious, complete with everything you could wish for.
On the ground floor you have the very stylish open plan kitchen/dining room, which is the hub of the house furnished with all the home from home luxuries you would expect.
Head into the living room to unwind after a busy day exploring the town and the glorious Yorkshire coastline that offers breathtaking views of the cliffs and out to see. A large Smart TV and the feature fireplace finish the space which is perfect for cosy movie nights in, or to enjoy the company of friends and family.
Take the stairs up to the first floor and you will find the first two stylish and comfortable bedrooms as well as the family bathroom. Up on the second floor you have a further two bedrooms as well as the added convenience of a WC.
These upper floors do offer some lovely views of the ocean and Whitby Abbey.

Adventure House is located on Flowergate on the west side of Whitby, a short 5 minute walk from the town centre right in the heart of the Town. Here you will find an eclectic mix of cosy pubs, and the well renowned Magpie Cafe alongside many other local restaurants, cafes and quality fish and chip shops. Continue along Pier road and you will find West Cliff Beach which is lined with idyllic beach huts and has boasted a blue flag status passing the amusements as you go.

Back into Town the swing bridge takes you over to the older part of Whitby on the East bank with the famous 199 steps up to the Church of Saint Mary and the Abbey, passing one of the oldest fish smokers in England on the way. If kippers take your fancy then there's no better place.
Local Whitby Jet shops are aplenty here to showcase this locally sourced commodity and some of the Jewelry on sale is breathtaking and a perfect souvenir to take home after your stay.
The streets are home to lots of lovely boutique shops and at points throughout the year are home to annual events such as the Bram Stokers Film Festival, Steampunk and Gothic weekends which people attend from all over the World and certainly a spectacle not to be missed, the events draw on the towns rich history as the birthplace of the Dracula stories and the inspiration for Bram Stoker.
Not forgetting that Whitby is the birthplace of Captain Cook and the memorial museum is a must for anyone interested in history.

There are countless options for those interested in walking in the North York Moors National Park, as the clifftop walks along the coastline are part of the Cleveland Way, and the Lyke Wake Walk finishes in nearby Ravenscar.

For the Train enthusiasts out there the town is frequently visited by the steam trains that run from Pickering and offer an enjoyable day out that takes you into history with some lovely quaint villages such as Grosmont along the way that showcase a bygone age.

The property offers a quiet period between 10pm and 8am.
A refundable damage deposit of £250 is required before arrival and returned within 72 hours of departure subject to an inspection.
