Modern Apartment in Holland Park close to everything you need!
Where you are
Holland Park is a beautiful quiet area nestled in Kensington & Chelsea. You are centrally placed and within walking distance of Notting Hill & the famous Portobello market, High Street Kensington boutiques & Whole Foods , beautiful Holland Park & adventure playground and Westfield Shopping centre for Europe’s largest shopping experience.
Notting Hill (walking)
Notting Hill is so much more than just the setting for that famous movie: it plays host to the Notting Hill Carnival, Europe’s biggest street fiesta; it’s brimming with fashionable restaurants, pubs, bars and shops; it’s home to one of London’s best street markets: Portobello Road; and it’s got oodles of fascinating architecture and cultural history, including the Ladbroke Grove punk/reggae scene.
Attracting millions of visitors every year to its rainbow-coloured houses, enviable gardens and boho atmos, Notting Hill is the perfect place to spend a weekend exploring. Whether you’re into shopping, eating, cinema or just people-watching, it’s a great bit of London to lose a few hours (or even a few days) in.
An Insta-dream, Notting Hill is home to several quiet streets teeming with pastel houses that run in multicolour terraces.
A great way to get accustomed to this super-cute area is to stroll from street to street taking in the unique architecture – and maybe grab a few “for the ‘gram”, if time allows.
Be sure not to miss Ledbury Road, Farmer Street, Kensington Park Road and Hillgate Street.
High Street Kensington
Kensington High Street is great for shopping and there is something for everyone!
There are lots of high street stores as well as designer stores and independent shops and what I love most is that they are all located in the old and beautiful buildings that line Kensington High Street.
A stunning royal residence within Kensington Gardens, Kensington Palace is home to many royals including William and Kate, and Harry and Meghan.
Kensington Palace
Adults can visit and tour the palace for under £20 and that includes entry to their incredibly interesting exhibitions about the Royal Family.
The gift shop is a must if you’re looking to take home a quintessentially British gift and, better still, you don’t need to pay the admission fee to pop into the shop!
If you did want to splurge, you can book afternoon tea in the Pavilion, which is opposite the Sunken Garden: location of Harry and Meghan’s engagement announcement.
This really is a bucket list kind of thing, as you can’t have afternoon tea at any other royal residence in London.
Holland Park (short walk) The Park is surrounded by streets lined with grand Victorian Townhouses and once inside there is a nice wooded area to walk around as well as big sections of grass where on the weekend local teams play sport. It’s a great place to walk around with a coffee in hand on a weekend morning I find. Piccadilly, Knightsbridge, Oxford Street, Southbank, Greenwich, Hampsted, Kew Gardens All can be accessed with regular transport a few mins walking whether you elect for the bus, train, or the tube. The famous 94 bus is on our doorstep which is comparable to a sightseeing tour without the tour price. With a passion and exposure to London I can advise you on any restaurants, current events or route plan – all included in my hosting. Oxford Why not catch a coach to beautiful Oxford from the nearby station?
