House of W is a C16th palazzino forming part of the former private residence of Grandmaster Alof de Wignacourt when still Captain of Valletta. Converted in 2022 following meticulous renovation, House of W now offers 5 exquisite apartments, each unique and finished to the highest standards of comfort. The original character and features of the building have been restored to blend with a mix of antique and vintage pieces, art and luxurious furnishings, offering an eclectic yet elegant ensemble. Named after the beautiful original semi-circular arches that span the width of the suite, Hnejjiet offers two floors of cosy, elegant accommodation, that include a kitchen living area on the ground floor and One Double bedroom with walk in bathroom on the upper floor. The suite has been converted with a high attention to detail, retaining all its authentic features while not compromising on the level of comfort one would expect. The bedroom leads onto a small external wooden balcony, which overlooks the quaint residential street below. Adjoining it, is a spacious bathroom with walk in shower, cast iron bath and dressing area. The 60sqm suite is elegantly finished with luxurious fabrics, wood panelling and marble throughout. The entire upper floor enjoys underfloor heating. Valletta is named after its founder, the respected Grand Master of the Order of St. John, Jean Parisot de la Valette. The narrow streets make parking difficult and we do not recommend that you hire a car especially since most parking spaces are reserved exclusively for residents of the city. If you plan to spend most of your time here you will find that it is easy to walk around.
