A cosy and charming character property, boasting a rural setting with easy access to Lewes and Brighton town centre.
This barn conversion offers warm, elegant and inviting accommodation featuring oak beams, a stunning spiral staircase and a lovely open plan kitchen, living and dining area.
There is also a private patio area onto terrace with furniture to enjoy alfresco dining or a morning coffee.

This unique character converted barn, with original wooden oak beams, log burning stove, feature spiral staircase, and a lovely open plan kitchen, dining area and lounge.
Perfect for a family of four, couples, friends, or business acquaintances.
Space:
Upon entering our barn conversion, you'll be greeted by the character of the past; high ceilings into the apex of the roof and original character features. The space is a harmonious blend of old-world charm and contemporary design, offering stylish interior with a cozy and inviting atmosphere.
Bedrooms:
Master Bedroom: A serene retreat featuring a comfortable double bed, large windows that flood the room with natural light, and ample storage space.
Second Bedroom: Ideal for friends or family, this mezzanine room offers two single beds with a warm welcoming ambiance.
The second room has a beautiful spiral staircase leading to the twin beds above the main bedroom
Open Plan Living Area:
The living room is a haven for relaxation, furnished with comfy seating, a flat-screen TV, and a feature wood burning stove. It's the perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring East Sussex.
Open Plan Kitchen & Dining Area:
The fully equipped kitchen comes with all the modern amenities you need to prepare a delicious meal or a quick snack. A dining area provides a comfortable space for meals, with seating for four.
Bathroom:
The cottage charm extends through the apartment right through to the bathroom.
Terrace:
Guests have access to a private patio area onto terrace which is accessed through the back door of the property.
Guest access
Guests have access to the whole cottage.
Other things to note
The main house is in the grounds, opposite the property
There is wheelchair access but a shower over bath in the bathroom
The log burner is not in use during the summer months
Check-in time is after 3pm and check-out time is before 11am.
A £30 charge will be requested if guests check themselves in early without permission or if guests do not check out on time as this will cause disruption to my cleaner’s schedule
We provide complimentary tea and coffee, as well as shampoo, shower gel and soap. Other items provided during your stay are a washing-up pack, toilet roll and kitchen roll. These should last a couple of days. If more is needed, there are shops closeby.
Guest access
The property is gated, and the access to the cottage is through the gate where the road meets the driveway. There is enough space to pull into the driveway, get out of the car, and open the gate if it isn't already open. Please drive through to park the car next to the cottage in the parking space provided and close the gate behind you.
Other things to note
Gather used towels: Kindly remove the bedding from the beds and stack them on one side of the floor.
Throw rubbish away: The bins are located in two locations nearby, roadside. Please ensure you place rubbish in correct bins as per guest manual instructions.
Turn things off: Please turn the lights off
Lock up: The door will automatically lock behind you
Return keys: Please always ensure you return keys to the keysafe. Failure to do may result in additional charge.
Additional requests:
+Check each room to make sure you haven’t forgotten anything
+Check that the fridge has been cleared of all food
+ Please leave the washing machine door slightly ajar and turn the thermostat to 8 degrees
+ Please let us know if anything has been damaged during your stay. If something needs to be fixed or replaced, we’ll let you know if it will be taken from your security deposit
IMPORTANT: On behalf of our host at Pass the Keys, we require guest verification facilitated by Truvi (Previously called Superhog). Upon confirming your booking, Truvi will contact the lead booker via a secure link, providing detailed instructions for the verification process.
The online verification requires a government-issued photo ID and a credit or debit card. During this process, you may choose between a refundable GBP 500 deposit (plus GBP 10 transaction fee currency equivalent) or purchase a non-refundable damage waiver of GBP 40 (currency equivalent) to cover potential damages during your stay.
Once the verification process is successfully completed, check-in information will be provided. If you opted in for a deposit, this will be refunded via credit/debit card after your stay, subject to an inspection of the property.
