Misleading advertising
I booked this property months in advance for a family wedding. I had messaged the host regarding parking as it was slightly vague in the description. She said there was a parking permit and wouldn’t have to pay etc. A few weeks before the check in, she messages me to say that they do not have a permit and diverted me to the nearby car park where I would have to pay. An extra cost that I was not expecting. I was unhappy and pointed out to that the advertising and messages stated that their was a free parking permit etc. I also asked if there was going to a reimbursement or reduction in my booking. She said no and that I ‘was already getting a property at a highly discounted price’ and that I should
book somewhere else. Which I obviously could not do at that late notice. I would not have booked this property if I had known about the parking. If you are booking this property, there is no street parking and the car park is several minutes walk away, which is inconvenient with heavy luggage. I also did not like the messages and response from the host. It did not say the property was discounted and that has nothing to do with me. Do not advertise that you have parking, when you do not.
Furthermore. I had also messaged to say that I would like the two single beds made up instead of the king, which they had offered. This was not done and had to do myself and use other bedding from family, as none was available at the property.
The property is very clean, which was an upside.
